1/10. It made the ending and character development of MGS2 into a fuck

Gameplay was pretty fun though. What's really annoying is that the mocap actors do that stupid Japanese shit where they bob their heads like they're getting tazed when their characters are supposed to be talking.

MGS IV isn't a game user; you're thinking of MGS4.

Not Revegence/10

MGS has never been good. When the fanboys care more about the story and characters than gameplay, and neither of them is even good, you know something is wrong.

The gameplay was fucking great, too bad there wasn't enough of it. Some maps were rather lame, a handful of gameplay mechanisms weren't use to their fullest. The story was alright.
7/10 taking everything into account (online included)

yeah i bet those grapes aren't tasty anyway

Good game, but needed more development time, as the gameplay becomes sparse after the first two acts. Laughing octopus and crying wolf were really fun boss fights.

Where did it all go wrong.

6/10, worth a playthrough.
Yeah.
Gameplay, missions, boss battles, everything where you could actually control snake.
70% of your playtime are fucking cut-scenes.
Kinda sorta yeah. It was drawn out as shit though.
No? I mean if you're hinting at MGSV then I was ok with that game too. Linking PW with MG1 wasn't really and ending, but just that - a link.
People expecting something grandiose, or as finalizing as MGS4 were delusional from day 1.

MGS3 is still the best MGS game.
MGR is the best MG game.

mgs1-3 are perfect. 10/10 each
mgs4 could've done better with a script editor, bigger maps and a happier kojima. 7/10
mgs5 could've done better with any company besides konami. 6/10

How would you rate MGS IV from a scale of 1 to 10?

9/10
Would you recommend this to someone who played previous MGS games?

Yes

What did you like about this game?

Gameplay, characters, cutscenes, story, variety of weapons etc

What did you not like about this game?

Drebins shop. Honestly it makes the game far too easy. Also this being a console exclusive.

Was the ending portrayed in the MGS IV a fitting end to the series?
Yes it was

Or did you wanted it to end differently?

Maybe a little less dialogue towards the end.

I played MGS and got bored to death halfway or so when snake got flu and some faggot on phone tells you to eat soup or some shit. Shit camera view, shit controls, shit combat, boring stealth, respawning enemies, rocket launcher that makes zero sense, autistic anime characters, oh God. Enjoy your rotten grapes cuckboy.

...

I fell for the MGS meme as a kid. Can't replay them at all today because of how shit the gameplay is. I would reconsider my position if all the games were redone in the Fox Engine.

5/10. As good as the gameplay was there was way too little of it. Plot is fanservice. It's a redundant game that really didn't need to exist, it was just an attempt at wrapping up the story. A bad one. The metal gear fight and the top of the sub fight were really cool and memorable, though.

7 or 8. Yes.

- Tight, responsive controls
- A lot of CQC options
- Good level design for most of the game
- Nice enemy variety keeps things feeling fresh
- Bosses
- Fun selection of weapons
- Customisation, both of your appearance and weapons
- Being able to side with/agitate the rebels in the first two chapters
- The special tranq bullets that let you manipulate enemies' emotions (you could make a whole stealth game around this concept to be honest)
- Replay value in general
- MGO RIP

- Far too many cutscenes
- the majority of Act 3
- plot is quite convoluted

I was quite satisfied with it since I was never overly invested in the plot of MGS in the first place, though I have wondered before if it would've been better to end when Snake shoots himself in the graveyard.

Act 3 is the low point of the game. The reactions of the guards and the guy you're protecting to your various face camos were cool details, but it's just not very interesting otherwise. Level design's rather simple compared to the rest of the game, half of it's a (very slow) escort mission and the other half's an on rails shooter. I would've changed it so that you had to explore the city by yourself and look for clues as to where the rebel hideout was.

Act 4 would've been better if there were human enemies I think, they could've put in some FROGs in since Crying Wolf comes with them by her side. Though that chapter's not bad as is overall.

This sums it up for me. I love the shit out of this game when it actually lets me play it to the point where I played through it about 10 times, but that just doesn't happen often enough.

MGS4. That's the acronym we've been using since the game came out more than 100 years ago, and it's the same one we're using now.

5/10 probably. Too many cutscenes that render the entire trilogy beforehand as lame. Nanomachines everywhere, bad characterization etc. Gameplay is good, just not enough of it. Metal Gear fight was cool and of course the final fight against Ocelot was great.

The problem with the game is that it is pretty much Kojima throwing a temper tantrum. He didn't want to make MGS3, but the fans wanted more and Konami made him. He really didn't want to make MGS4 but the fans wanted more and Konami made him. So what we got was a good game sunk beneath hours of tripe cutscenes.

Damn, user. I never thought of that comparison. The parts of MGS4 where you're crawling through the grass in the middle of a massive battle with mortars exploding everywhere and bullets whizzing over your head were pretty cool.
What, really?

I didn't mind Prague so much, it wasn't too bad having to follow the guy and stay hidden from everything around you. The on rails bit sucks but what can you do?
Why hasn't anyone mentioned the Mark II yet? You could play through most of the game with that thing if it didn't have a range of 20 feet before losing signal.

Nanomachines > parasites any day of the week.

4/10, I wouldn't advise anyone to play any MGS after 3, especially not 4 and even more especially not 5.
I like the Snake-Liquid Ocelot fight and how incredibly stupid the ending is. I like the initial cutscene.
I don't like that Revolver Ocelot is the antagonist because he got a new arm. I don't like the fanfiction tier writing that somehow makes the previous games look like masterpieces of literature. I don't like the stupid credit and store system. I don't like the fact it's a movie more than it is a game. I don't like the NA boxart. I don't like the incredibly strange stamina/trauma mechanic that never matters if you play right. I don't like that the game is constantly shifting locations and times. I don't like most of the character interactions.
The ending is actually egeregiously stupid and a terrible way to end the series because it completely invalidates the entire plot since Metal Gear 2. MGS2 ended the story of Snake perfectly.
Also if we never got 4, we wouldn't have gotten 5.

Its almost as if Kojima is a hack that only made it because of his co-writers.

2 > 4 > 5 > 3 > 1

The problem wasn't the engine, the problem was kojima, or whoever worked on that game, not knowing how a shooter and stealth game should work. Now that kojima has played a lot of Splinter Cell, MGS 4 and 5 had better gameplay. Still inferior to Splinter Cell though.

Yeah, modders have attempted to breathe more life into MGSV by populating the world with more characters and roaming enemy groups, etc. But even though the ability exists to let users adjust how many enemies can spawn, they keep it disabled because the engine almost always crashes above 20.

They’ve found that animals count in that number, too. It’s a shitshow.

He needs someone to reign him in. He only produces something good with the right people around him and hopefully Sony realizes this with Death Stranding.

2 was mostly the same shit as 1.

t. Person who never played a single MGS game.

Yeah it seems like an interesting concept on paper, I just didn't take to it. It was never so bad that it made me quit a playthrough or anything but it was pretty much the only part of the game I didn't look forward to whenever I played through the game again.

On another note, this . I forgot about how much the omission of enemy vs enemy encounters in MGS5 bothered me, since not only was it something they should've expanded upon, but they also had the perfect excuse to include it given 5's setting. Totally wasted potential, like most of 5.

(((Sony))) and Del Toro in his ear. It will likely be something cucked.

level design, same thing that hurt MGSV so badly. in mgs4 and 5 you have all these cool tools to work with and no good places to play with them, in the first two acts of 4 you can really fuck around with stuff and actually -play- the game but after that you're railroaded into one playstyle

2 > 3 > 1 > 5 > PW > 4

3>5>PW>1>4>2

Metal Gear as a whole is shit made by a failed wannabe film director who no one would accept so he decided to go into gaming for a quick buck and has been leeching off idiots like everyone in this thread for decades.

6 or 7 out of 10. I absolutely detested it the first time through. My second and third playthrough, I warmed up to the game, but not by a huge margin. I would only recommend it to somebody who has played previous Metal Gear games, and probably only to those who played MGS 1-3. Anyone not familiar with those games would have no idea what's going on. I'm also annoyed that Metal Gear 1 & 2 have more or less been retconned and ignored.

Weapons, weapon customization, interesting scripting, some of the scenarios you're put into, and the fact that you have two factions warring with each other, and you're stuck in the middle of it.

B&Bs are unsympathetic and Drebin explaining why you should feel sorry for them does not work. Show, don't tell. The entire game is pandering to the core audience and is completely focused around "Remember this? Remember that?" These are things that have happened over the course of 20+ years of video game installments. It's extremely alienating to newcomers and feels like hamfisted trash. Also, it really shows how fucking stupid Metal Gear is in general, to the point that I find it obnoxious. The stress system sucks, and it completely ruined my first playthrough. I had troubles understanding why a super soldier was throwing up all over himself in a dumpster when rebel forces with no combat experience did not suffer the same issues. This was not an issue at all for me during my 2nd run of the game. Nanomachines are fucking trash and it's a terrible plot point. The entire fucking plot revolves around this concept.

How did this game end again? Solid fights Ocelot, who thinks he's Liquid, and they recover Solidus, thinking it's Big Boss, and it's suggested that Solid is going to die, but Solid is talking to Big Boss to explain the importance of sticking to your morals or something.

MGS4 has some of the best bossfights in the series though the bosses themselves are not.

6.5/10
Nice gameplay, story and writing pretty bad.

I haven't played it in years but i liked it.
my ranking of the series would be
i haven't finished peace walker or the original yet so i couldn't rank them.

Absolute shit movie game. When Fukushima left from his position as a co-writer, it showed what a hack Kojima is when someone doesn't keep him on a leash. All of the mystique of the previous games ruined by all-in-one nanomachines, not to mention ruining explanations for some crazy shit that didn't need a fucking explanation, like Ocelot being hypnotized all along. The original theory that his attached arm was channeling Liquid's personalty because Ocelot may have inherited The Sorrow's ghost powers may sound dumb on paper but at least it fit within the kitsch of prior MGS games.

Fucking this. I wanted to punch a wall when they basically retconned MGS2's ending about the Patriots being dead as "a bogus lead".

...

Good gameplay when you get to play the game. I'd give it 8/10 because it's really comfortable to play MGS4 and also eat dinner at the same time.

shitty movie

Thanks for proving me right!

it's actually 22 if you count correctly

it was jarring at times

… It's 20. Snake isn't handled by the engine as the NPCs are. And another fucking thing. I hate nighttime in MGS V. It's not dark at all. We have all the power in the world to make TRULY dark nights in games. Modders have done it in Skyrim and Fallout 4 of all fucking things; why not MGSV, which would give the NVG a PURPOSE FOR EXISTING? One thing I liked about ARMA III is its truly dark nights.

Honestly man. As someone who has to actually fight in pitch black conditions with NVG on let me assure you that it sucks. Video games being unrealistic is amazing. It actually makes the games fun.

If you had MGSV being pitch black you'd either get nowhere on navigation OR have to rely on more on screen compasses and waypoints.

Aren't you supposed to take care of your own life instead of posting round these parts then

then it's 21, there iss one half hidden on the right end.

First and only MGS-game i've ever tried. Turned it off after 30 minutes, it was cringeworthy and i felt ashamed for playing it.

You're on a imageboard, you shouldn't have to ask that.

probably an 8/10

it's the second most enjoyable game in the series, mgs1 is the best one and a master piece, top 5 games of all time

also mgs3 is probably the worst game in the series, shitty saturday morning tier anime story, terrible controls, immersive menu gameplay, way more boring set up

the story is more simple, that's why the retarded simpletons who cannot fathom solid snake's story love it, the same retards the spout "le nanomacines lmao xD" love mgs 3, its really the worst numbered mgs game

Believe it or not. Someone can do both.

This. If the entire game was just more like acts 1 and 2 it would've been a very solidheh game.
Also the best movement system and gun play to date.

how can anyone think MGS5 is worth even a second place?

MGSV was literally unfinished, MGSV had a shit story for what there was and the plot twist at the end was pointless and terrible, MGSV had gameplay that you'd see in just about every third person shooter by this time. MGSV only has 2 levels that just empty except for guard bases every couple of miles and the levels are pointlessly big.

MGSV has no variation in it's missions or side missions. every side mission is just "okay you did that once, now do it again!". MGSV forces you to wait in a helicopter for about a minute and a half before you drop down for the next mission.

how did this game get 9/10s and 10/10s? Please someone with sense here…. tell me.

mgs5 is shit but mgs3 is even worse, only retards like it

10/10. My favorite movie.

They were pointlessly big because the engine couldn't render two locations at once; it needed the space between them to deload what's behind you before loading in the new stuff.

I read once (here, so…) that two more maps were planned: a snowy one in Siberia (comfy factor through the goddamn roof, I'm sure) and… what, a jungle one? I don't remember. But that the consoles couldn't handle those maps so they were cut. I have no proof of this and don't remember if it was sourced.
From the ✡gaming journalists✡? I think you already know the 💵💴💶💷answer💵💴💶💷 to that one. From people here? Like I said, I play it to keep myself from committing suicide. Its gameplay had potential, and I think many of us see what that potential would have taken us had it been finished (and the story not been shoehorned shit). That's it.

I've just been struck with a thought. Compare the size of the Guantanamo Bay map with any of the maps from the newest Hitman. THAT, I think, would have served MGSV better in terms of "open world." I found Guantanamo to be pretty fun, and the Hitman maps are absolutely full of life without being too big (ANY WORD ON HACKING THE PIRATED VERSION TO UNLOCK THE 90% OF THE GAME STILL TRAPPED BEHIND THE ONLINE BARRIER?). Had MGSV been built out of maps of that size (three for Afghanistan, three for Africa), we wouldn't have had complaints about emptiness, and they could have easily done six more maps of that size for two (or whatever) other locations.

daily reminder that the faggot liked DA Cisqiusition

to me it's pretty clear that Hideo makes up a lot of shit every time so everything gets retconned. MG2 retconned the fuck of MG1, MGS 1 did the same for the previous, MGS 3 retconned the whole series, MGS4 retconned MGS 2, V again retconned everything once again…

and there are people wasting time trying to come up with theories explaining the mysteries of the series, looking for the missing link when it's clear that kojima makes shit up and don't care about consistency at all, just the ruses

Because the rebels are young men and Solid Snake is a senior citizen who requires a nano muscle suit to still function as a soldier?

I mostly liked the gameplay, but the story was pretty good aswell. What I didn't like about it was the huge amount of cutscenes. Not that I dislike a good story, but it was like 30% gameplay and 70% cutscenes which is just a shitty ratio.
It had alot of potential, but they choose story>gameplay content for some reason.

The ending was as expected. Depressing, no happy end yet it wasn't edgy or unlogical. It's still one of worst games in the series in my opinion.

mgs 3 > mgs 1 > mg2 > mgs2 > mpo > mgspw > mgs4 > mgs5 > mg1

this is the true and only objective ranking and if you disagree you're mentally challenged

...

True, but it was obvious then when Kojima brought on Fukushima to co-write, the series had a level of consistency and characterization that got leveled once Fukushima left during MGS4's development. Reminder that it was Fuku who more or less was responsible for all the Deus Ex tier political intrigue in MGS1-3. It also explains why MGS4 starts out dwelling on PMCs and shit but seems to barely develop on it, probably because Cuckjima was nowhere near as knowledgeable about military and espionage as we thought.

Even though MGS5 can eat dicks, he made a colossal fuck up by invoking Agness Kaku (the translator for MGS2) as legit source that rightfully called out Kojima's bad writing, because that cunt is just as retarded as Hideo if not more.

Can't believe I had to leave an autistic borderline dissertation in the comments of that video to show him that mistake.

He also completely gets the story wrong for why HG101 took down their Kaku interview; Kaku was being sued by the same guy who interviewed her for unrelated reasons, and the interview was taken probably out of conflict of interest.

apparently having to make the game still work on PS3 and 360 really hamstrung them. that's where a lot of the other rather ridiculous limitations came into play, too.
at least in the days of 'multiplatform' ps2 / ps3 games they were entirely different systems with games that just kind of looked similiar. This was like that wii version of Modern Warfare that was incredibly gimped, if they'd done the same thing to the PS3/360 version.
I never really got into MGS4 but someone up above nailed it, the first area of 4 is more dynamic and feels more like a warzone than anything in V.

No, the plot twist with big boss was retarded. And Otocon (or anyone really) should have been concerned with preserving snake's/big boss's DNA. Don't get me wrong he should still have worried about his friend. But big boss's DNA is a mystical fluke that should not be lost due to stupid government bullshit. They should have made another clone from Snake's DNA, but this time make it so he can reproduce and ages normally. That way later installments you could still play as "snake" but there would be problems, like he wouldn't have the same personality and it would constantly remind people like otocon about his lost friend. There could also be a subplot where newsnake is concerned about living up to his genetic legacy (Having your dad be a super soldier who was the son of a super soldier would put pressure on you.) He would constantly be trying to prove himself on his missions, but he wouldn't feel any pride in his works either. Because after all, it's just his DNA that's helping him to succeed. Making him feel like he has to go on increasingly more dangerous missions so he can prove to everyone (and himself) that it's not JUST because of his DNA that he's able to pull off these missions. He would find a girl and get her pregnant. Not because he loves her, but because he has a need to pass on his genetic code in a way that ISN'T cloning. He doesn't want his son to feel the way he does. Eventually he would lose it and his pseudo inferiority complex would cause him to want to do the one thing that even big boss couldn't do. Create a nation of soldiers, for soldiers. A New Heaven. A place where he can keep a his finger on the pulse of the war economy and direct it to a better goal than pure profit. After quite a few games eventually his son would feel like it was his duty to take his father out. He would infiltrate New Heaven and kill New Snake just like Old Snake killed Big Boss in Metal Gear 1. Showing the inevitable cycle and repeat of history. That no matter what we do, or why we do it. So long as the corrupt being that is "man" is on God's green earth. There will always be war. And there will always be a battle to suffering. That our goal should not be to end war, but to let it shape us. Make us stronger. As we build our tower of babel higher and higher in our futile attempt to become gods.

hello

Please go outside for the sake of your own health.

I love it when user imageboards devolve to lowest common denominator. This is exactly what gamefaqs would believe.

You can't have fun shit like this in MGS games past it.
While gameplay is rare past the second chapter the game is still the most mechanically complex of the series, which is quite depressing.

Hi

FUCK YOU!

8/10 i liked it a lot, that last fight was some 10/10 material

Speaking of Metal Gear I really love the sci fi aesthetic these games had, especially MGS2 and ZOE2. I used to think this was how all scifi shit was going to look.

Though in IV they only used that mechanic twice, with the ME and Jungle levels.
MGSIV should have had way less cinematics and much more missions instead of having a story driven bunch of missions that are just moving from A to B, listening to a nigger talk about "muh village people" and having different ways to do the same exact thing.

Best game will forever be Merry Gear Solid 2 to be honest.

...

This is the worst taste I've seen in a while. How does it feel to be such a pleb?

Faggot. He was also a super soldier with a lot of experience fighting other super soldiers and managed to destroy multiple bipedal mechs with nuclear capabilities. In fact, I remember a certain bipedal robot that killed his old war buddy who was a cybernetic ninja with enhanced reflexes and special armor, and yet he destroyed it with a missle launcher , despite not having nanomachines, special armor, cybernetic enhancements, or camo that makes him invisible.

And yet, non-enhanced, lightly trained guerillas with effectively no combat experience weren't effected by combat stress. I'd be willing to say this is because the game was poorly designed, and not because he was old.

All it would have needed was a VR mission bit like substance, shit was pretty fun and had stuff you would never do ingame even on extreme.

How far he's fallen.

He did. This is a plot point in both MGS1 and MGS4. In fact, why those nanomachines are still active when he meets Drebin is a mystery, since in MGS1 he said that their battery would die soon, which would allow him to escape untracked. This point isn't super relevant, I'm just being pedantic.
They were enhanced, and not being very affected by combat stress is specifically one of the enhancements that's spelled out in the exposition dump at the beginning of the game.
No argument there, but that's probably not the reason for it. When was the last time you played these games?

Meh out of 10

I basically concur with this.

I miss the days of those badly drawn anonymous paint comics. They were charming in a way. They had character.

I unironically endorse this comic

Otacon is an engineer, not a genetics expert.

shitty movie/10

...

I miss the online

One of the best movies made by kojima. And MG2SS is the best game.

What if he builds a robot clone of him that can reproduce and ages normally?

It's shit. Act 3 is mindbogglingly bad. It single handedly stops me from ever replaying that game.

I'd give it an honest 7.5/10.
I'd recommend it.
It's a Hollywood film, and a very good one at that.

Ironically, I liked the gameplay the most.
The fact that there was so little of it and the overall short length of the game really put me off. It really needed to be longer.
The boss fights, while decent, were thrown off a bit by the story that you'd get after defeating them. What was the point? They had no personality beforehand, so why pretend that there ever was any?

As for the ending, I have mixed feelings.
On one hand, it was good and fitting. On the other, there were too many forced things that Kojimbo did just to kill Snake and be done with him.

Needed less cutscenes and the oriignal ending should have remained on release

I'd give it about the same. The plot is mostly retarded, but it has some good character moments.

There are some interesting ideas about war economy and technological progress, but a lot of it is kind of half-baked when you really think about it.

Even though there is not a lot of it, I really like the gameplay. OctoCamo is a great gimmick that I fooled around with way too much when I first played it.

The final boss is really great, but it's only effective if you have played all the other MGS games.

Probably. I think the ending we got was way to saccharine.

I'd have to play it again tbh, it's been too long since I went through all of it and got an objective perspective. Also, the mgo2 for all playstations not even hacked ones is supposed to be coming out soon.

Also, why is there nothing but an email field now, and only sage or nothing as options?

That are probably new board-specific settings. I checked Holla Forums and they still allow name and email.
You do know the meaning of sage though, right?

Yes user, I was wondering why name was gone and the email field was turned to simply sage or de nada.

Again, those are probably board-specific settings, meaning whoever is managing this board right now (Does Mark still exist?) does not want users to be able to enter their email addresses and names. Sage is still tied to the email field, so it's a drop-down option if email is disabled.

This is my best guess.

user, I know the name field, email field, I.Ds etc are board specific. I am asking WHY it has changed today on Holla Forums.

I have done three playthroughs and that never happened to me. I never got seen from him so I don't know if that triggered it for you. You are not wrong though, I don't believe anyone likes that mission in ACT 3, but I don't mind it since I've put up with tailing missions in many games before and this one wasn't too bad.
That's only after you defeat Laughing Octopus and it doesn't last too long. The level design did feel a bit too narrow nearing the end of the area, but the Guinea pigs more than makes up for it

Thankfully, you can have your own fun in it and find ways to dick around.

I remember being so hopeful about it during the first two acts. They truly nailed the battlefield feeling and sneaking.
The fighting and screaming between the PMCs and guerrillas while you're on the other side of the street waiting for the right moment to move made the game very atmospheric.
You could even join in and have a go at them yourself. It wasn't a retard-tier choice system either like: "1. Help the guerrillas 2. Sneak around." Only action.

There was honest freedom in that game.

Really? You're not trying to ruse me, are you?

Its an attempt to deal with namefags from 4am

The only Metal Gear games that are aging like wine are MGS and MGS2.

And MGS2 in particular doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves. It's acclaimed no doubt, but year on year it only becomes more apparent what a masterpiece of production it is.

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake for MSX is the only game in the series that ages well, in my opinion.

Nope, here's an article on it. just remove the two spaces after https
https ://sidearc.com/metal-gear-online-2-coming-back-non-modded-ps3s/

Hah. Wonder if they'll start avatarfagging again and get banned for that. Also wondering when marks gonna put the hammer down on waifu wednesday then for those avatarfags.

MGS4 is not a video game, it's an interactive movie.

Holy shit, that's the best news this week.
I never had the pleasure of playing the online myself, so this is amazing.
Thanks a lot, user.

Looks like you have to completely wipe your PS3 using a system backup they provide, which is a complete no.

Unless you're able to just do it on a new user profile you create, not sure if the restore process is just for a profile or the entire system.

MGS4 is a 10/10.

I can just back up all of my saved games on a USB, right?
What's the problem?

imgur.com/r/NeverBeGameOver/NbIbL
This should be handled with quite the grain of salt.

It's a must play if you care about the series or played any of the MGS games before. It sounds terrible, but the whole game is basically a fanfic done right, almost every loose end the series had ends in this shit. There's nods to every previous game, returning characters, obscure easter eggs, crazy weaboo shit, conspiracies, etc - shit's fucking packed with content.

Visuals and sound are fucking fantastic in this shit. This was and still IS a killer app for PS3, game utilizes every fucking feature PS3 has - strokes its own dick during 'disc change' codec in Act IV even. Mocap is really good, facial animations and models are incredible.

Probably the most obvious thing would be bosses. MGS is a dank souls of steath games with its emphasis on bosses and their backstories and shit. B&B unit's bossfights were okay (especially octopus), but they were bland as fuck as far as their personalities go. Also D-boy calling after each fight to fill you up on who you've been fighting with is just plain dumb. Doesn't apply to other bosses thou - Ray, Vamp and Liquid are fucking gr8.

Also plot, or should i say setpieces?, doesn't make sense in couple of places. Mostly Act 3 - i hate Act 3.

Also the lengh of cinematics. Oh yes, i've already lightly scanned a thread to notice a number of "it's not a game, but a movie BWAK BWAK BWAK" fags. I enjoy a fucking cinematic as long as it doesn't hurt the actual gameplay. And it did hurt the gameplay good this time. Act 3 is basically a short stealth section then a long ass cutscene, then semi-interactive chase sequence, bossfight and another longass cutscene, le fin. This is bullshit, son.

Everything was cool until the wedding. Shit's fucking cringy as fuck. I get that the Kojimer wanted to end the series on a lighter note, but this shit is fucking nothing compared to MGS2 thought-provoking and insightful ending. As for the final longass dialogue from the BB - that i didn't mind. Shit ties up loose ends quite nicely and ends the quadrolody for good. No, Revengeance isn't a MG game, fuck you sir

I belive that the game saves are encrypted with a key derived from the account in use. This makes this significantly less portable as you require the used account to be logined in order to use them again. That said there is a tool for Skyrim to convert saves to and from PS3/PC that only works for that game.

Note that the PS3 and 360 versions of MGS V were never supposed to happen, but Konami wanted them despite nip hack and slash kojimbo's objections, hence, the stupid 20 character limit.
Now you know why FOX engine games run on a toaster.

IMO no, they really dropped the ball with explaining BB and not touching on the SNATCHER aspect of it. They made a vague reference with the river area. No not the Gillian outfit you faggots, the fact that the place theyre in is west of moscow. Remember the Catastrophe? Yeah, that should be in full swing by MGSIV, as it didnt die out until 2030's iirc. And they never came full circle with it and explained to Snake that BB in MG2 was the first SNATCHER, but i guess modnar was busy doing fuckall while his son was in stasis in chernodin. Most of my gripes with MGS post 2 have to do with how he ignored his universe he painstakingly crafted through his other games over the years to go for LOL JAMES BOND ACTION MAN
