Most of the problems I have with story based games is when the dialog/cutscene drags on far too long with little to no control for the player to do anything. Also, I thought Kojima "fixed" the cutscene problem in MGS4 when he did the splitscreening between the player running around in one panel while the story was unfolding in the other panel (Pretty much the same concept EA showed off with A Way Out, and was also used back in 2003 for Ubisoft's XIII).
