ITT: Cloth physics

This thread is dedicated to cloth physics and how unnoticeably neat they are.

...

not as good as the ass-leg crease physics

This shit looks like rubber.

No idea why games don't use them more. You can make the wind affect them and it makes for real cool-looking battlefields of character decorations. It doesn't even require much CPU power.

Fitting tbh

nah you're delusional

Webm not related, right OP?

Only the skindentation physics are good.

Sort of, kind of. Here's what Witcher 3's cloth physics actually look like.

Do you think Bannerlord will also have physics on clothing/armor?

Dude, nothing about that animation looks anything like cloth. For starters the skirt's basic form remains conical instead of following gravity. When in motion, it's just prancing about like faggots in a tumblr convention without breaking the wavy skirt form. It obviously has a strong shape memory, like rubber, unlike cloth, and it's way too wobbly to be just starched up.
At least be honest and say you want to shill your pet game instead of trying to make it fit in a thread where it obviously doesn't belong.

/r/ Bloodborne

the finngolian video had a guy with a ponytail helmet that had physics
horse manes also had physics

Mafia 2, being the glorified tech demo with an "interactive story", had probably the most amazing clothing movement in physics that I can remember, alot of the engine gets little inconsequential details perfect, like the tire smoke, the warmer your tires get the more smoke they emit, and the smoke itself, both tire smoke and smoke in the game in general like from explosions, has turbulence although there are a lot of things over looked, like the physics of the fences ( but thats me being an austist)

fuck off you stupid nigger

...

this is probably pre-made, but still

...

So you don't know what's possible with cloth types. Got it.

post real cloth skirt behaving like that then

Anyone with a basic understanding of housekeeping knows cloth more than you do. If cloth behaved anything like in this Nier webm, nobody would ever need to iron anything.

Other than the default Tremere outfit in Bloodlines, are there any games where I can play a girl that jumps around in a skirt with actual physics attached to it?

yea

How does cloth/hair/fur physics work, on a technical standpoint? Are there really good examples on how to do it right while avoiding a huge framerate drop?
