Forces can be considered the headcanon sequel to Dark Brotherhood. The game essentially ends with them arriving in a world taken over by Eggman so you can just play it off from there. SEGA came back to him saying "No, there is only one Metal Sonic." Remember, this is the same company that gave their seal of approval for all the stories where he had Metal Sonic after Metal Sonic blown up and destroyed.

Let me add that the reason they changed the name from Mobius is because SEGA told Archie that the planet is literally called "Sonic's World," and Ian Flynn, the writer, thought that was inordinately stupid, so he just didn't refer to the planet by name, anymore.

I think the soulful, upbeat, and free feeling of the Sonic Advance series is a little more underappreciated, but hopefully that'll come back someday. Shit's even more unlikely than the wild and gritty Sonic Adventure atmosphere coming back though, even though I could kind of see that happening in the future at some point.

I noticed all of those returning characters and elements are from games that Iizuka had more involvement in, even Silver was around for Rivals which was released around the same time as 06. But it's really the Storybook games that are getting the shaft as Unleashed gets representation through the Egg Dragoon and boost formula.

For Chao you have to make extensive A-life framework, and the programmer who made it long gone from Sonic Team. This was explained multiple times before. For instance the comics would define Proto Man's apparent free will and wanderer nature as being an extension of his original directive, which is "be Dr. Light's son"; because this is such a retardedly huge directive, Proto Man can do pretty well whatever he pleases. Bass, meanwhile, can haphazardly ignore about half of the Three Laws because his sole directive is "beat Mega Man", and if Bass doesn't consider listening to Wily conducive to beating Mega Man, then he doesn't have to listen to his own creator.

In contrast Reploids do not obey the Three Laws, can grow as people analogously to humans based off of their experiences and learning, and can make their own decisions without a core directive or any other mechanical influence being exerted on their judgment. Though, the poster-boy for Reploids and their original, X, was put through very severe ethical testing in a capsule because Light's a fucker and wanted to ensure that the robot with free will that he wanted was what came out, instead of a robot truly shaped by its environment and experiences.

Although if your brain is lit up like a christmas tree (for instance if you suffered a strong impact to the head, if you were on drugs or just received a strong psychological trauma) seizures might be very easy to induce.

Custom Hedgehogs are playable, so all you'd need to do is give it purple fur, red/black eyes, gray pants and some arm braces, and there you go. Haven't you guys even seen the custom gear yet? You can even wear a helmet that makes you look like Doom Guy.

Playing through Sonic Colors on the Wii right now, why didn't every Sonic game after this just copy its formula with a few twists?
Its a better game than most 3D Sonic games before it.
