i hate that i know this feel too well or

This is the most casual thing I will ever admit but I download games so my desktop is symmetrical.

...

I pirated a game
Then it turned out it was shit

your post made me kek
that picture made me think about life

I got a letter once. My isp is fucky in that instead of just sending you a letter or email like a normal person they shut down the internet until you manually enter in your account and click legal bullshit saying you got the letter, etc. Well this ended up fucking up my router so for a whole month I was down with no internet had to buy a new router (and still pay internet they didn't cancel the service after all goy) and had to deal with parents who thought I was about to go to jail for pirating and running illegal operations.

Sometimes I envy leafs who have better isps, but then I remember loli is legal where I live so all is well.

You realise you could just not have a bunch of unsightly shortcuts on your desktop right?

That is autism by definition, lad

The problem is that until the last row of programs I had a perfect slope, so I downloaded a few CRPGs to make it perfectly fit the height.

Jew morals, everyone.

...

Fact:Piracy increases game awareness and increases game sales just like demos did in the past.

Source: I use to be a main distributor of cracked software….everyone bought tons of crap because they wanted people to get paid for work they liked (they're not just bullshitting in those nfo's when they say support the devs). You would be amazed at how many rich people were in the distro scene.

The real reason people cry about piracy is because it is an excuse for shitty game sales when in fact your game is SHIT!

Out of interest, what did you download that got you a letter? I never got a letter and mostly wanna know whether my ISP is just good or whether it's related to downloading big mainstream shit.

is that darksyde phil ?

I tried to pirate pokemon platinum but when I loaded the rom it was Corey in the House.

I'm glad that happened to you.

Honestly can't think of anything apart from the occasional game not working or me trying to jump through hoops to make it work, making me frustrated. Which kind of stopped happening ages ago.
Piracy is piss easy so there's not much horror to be had.

Maybe the situations where you have to rely on year old forum posts to find a solution to some obscure problem.
Times like that I just want to give up on everything.

Are you sure? My ISP asks $200/mo for 5Mb/s down and 1 up.
And while they may not give much of a shit about piracy, they whine about even legal torrents because of the strain it apparently puts on their network. If I leave things seeding during the day while I'm at work I usually come home to find everything throttled to half my nominal speed.

come on guys shortcuts are SO 1999

I love it when I have to fix an issue, and end up on some forum from 2003. What ever happened to those people? Do the young uns even bother like that, does it seem like prehistory to them?

Even better,

You are a fucking retard.

I think some of them do, not a lot though. I assume since most are brought up in the age of being a consumer whore, they just buy all their shit and if something breaks they just stop playing and move on to the next 'new' shiny thing.

Honestly I find stuck up moderators to be worse. Those OPs are shortsighted faggots without the decency to explain their fix, but mods crying about muh necrobumps when the last post was on-topic pisses me off more because they can't even be bothered to do their jobs properly.

One of the many reasons I'll never participate on a traditional forum again. Fuck those places.

...

tbh I wished the Holla Forums support sticky had an archive so you could see if anyone had asked a question before.

Since making this thread I ran into a new one

I just dont even know anymore

Made me buy the game I tell you hwut.

I have to know which game does this

still scared today

rutracker is fine user.

I installed games that were fucking shit

Trully horrifying

...

Stop it. At this point I only feel sadness for this guy.

Beware the Russian hacker.

Thumper

Whoever said filesize bloat was an anti-piracy measure was right on the money.
I'm still not going to buy nuDoom though, for reasons previously mentioned

No DTA?

The weirdest thing I've encountered in piracy is in a copy of Mount and Blade Warband for Linux. There doesn't seem to be swing sounds in native, and I'm not sure why. Mods that change the swing sound do have it though.

>laptop toaster can't handle it at any more than 15 fps

ISPs in Cucknanistan throttle your connection if you pirate and download too much. Hope you like offline solo-player games, I do but if you wanted to play online be prepared to get fucked at an inopportune moment.

It was a virus, user.

well if you won't pirate it due to it being too large, then why would you buy it? you still have to download it, unless you buy the dvd release.

...

...

Gears of war used to require fucking with date settings

Did I miss out?

How? or was it just a game that had lolicon and you're a brit or some other cucked country

Yeah, you had a meth dealer living next to you and YOU DIDN'T COP A FREE DEAL NIGGA?

What MMO is the edit based on?

I've got one right here.

Only if your neighbor didn't give you a discount.

nice one

what year was this?

ok i'll go fuck myself

GTA 5

Forums are so goddamn stupid.

Ever heard of the monkey cold shower experiment? It's literally the only reason forums upon forums have that rule. Some idort implemented it on his own forum and people who went to his forum picked it up, and those people later on made their own forums. Eventually all forums had that rule.
It has literally no reason to exist outside of the situation described in the monkey cold shower experiment.

Retarded. But, there was an instance of a C64 or Amiga collection that someone found had a CP stash in it.

Everyone laugh at this poorfag with poverty-tier internet!

it took me a week+ to download nier

There's the argument that people post in old threads to artificially inflate their post counts to gain more reputation on the forum, but then again who really gives a shit?

Why bully?

I've been thinking of the purpose of it and I couldn't come up with anything. It's not like a thread can get bumped off the forum like with an imageboard.
It's completely retarded.

Which is treating the symptoms and not the disease. Post counts are cancer.

What's your usage cap, fag?

It almost feels like I live in a country with not shit internet.

If 700kb/s is the best speed offered out of every ISP with coverage in the area, it's not a question of being poor.

what the fuck?

That's a lie and you know it.

W-what

...

I'm gonna fuck that goat.

But it won't.
Increasing the frame rate was the sole reason true fullscreen was introduced, when you run a program fullscreen everything else using the GPU is completely stopped and there's nothing but the fullscreen program using the GPU.

Isn't it more intensive to run it in windowed?

This is how I know your kind is full of shit

...

Yes. is a liar

I finally deleted it a few months ago mostly out of spite and partially because I needed room for JAV.

in windows, having your game windowed applies vsync
while fullscreen only renders the videogame.

canada's internet infrastructure sucks so many fucking dicks

Good choice. Didn't miss much by the way. Game's fucking barren once you finish the story.

I call bullshit. If that was true, then how do they get framerates above the refresh rate?

You know who has good internet? The Japs. How can we steal their internet?

You just run the game on fullscreen.
Or you force vsync off on the game with the gpu driver, because the gpu driver intercepts calls after everything including windows.

Something to note: double buffering vsync

...

I meant getting framerates above refresh rate in windowed mode, you fucking idiot.

I think you're the one who's not the shiniest of the stars m8.

minority of pirates buy more than regular customers

take your autistic fantasy and kill yourself

Ho boy it's this autist.

my wallpaper's pretty vacant so i like the look of shortcuts

You want to hear some real shit?
I bought the game for 360 on release. As soon as it arrived, I discovered my 360 had RRoD'd while it gathered dust in my closet. I bought another one on eBay for about $100. I also ordered 3 months of XBL Gold so I could play GTA Online. By the time it came out, I played it on launch despite all the networking issues and then maybe once or twice after they fixed everything. In total I paid almost $200 just to play GTAV.
To this day I still don't know what got into me.

You posted this before and you were wrong then too. Read the PDF in the article you linked.

get a job

Please take care of yourself, user.

...

...

...

If you think I'm here to justify me pirating vidya you're sorely mistaken. I'll pirate whatever the hell I please and despite that you're still wrong. Learn to read.

Don't worry, shill. There's even keygens that can do that job now.

aka The Quiet American.

I just piad for and downloaded AC4 pirates!

...

Alt+tabbing, right-clicking on empty desktop space, clicking refresh, then Alt+tabbing back to the game
If any of you guys wants to play Hollow Knight, try this shit. Buy it on a sale if you can, it's good shit.

...

I see you too are a fellow Canadian.

I use Verizon and I'm torrenting at 7 - 7.5Gbps download and 1.5Gbps upload for $80 a month and I've never been throttled. But after the third or fourth letter they sent, I finally signed up at PrivateInternetAccess. I get about half my normal download speed, but that's still 3 - 3.5Gbps and uploading around 700Mbps - 1Gbps

What ISP are you using?

chances are the crack uses something called Spacewars, a game on steam that was used to demo the Steamworks API, but it was removed for unknown reasons. most pirated games will use it to emulate steam.

No, I've had it happen to me too. I had to reinstall everything and then uninstall it again.
Unless that guy is saying that he put the shortcuts in the trash and then was shocked that it didn't uninstall the game. In which case he's a faggot

What are you a muslim?

How the fuck would that even work?

years ago
later
why live?
stopped pirating
no more mary-oh

told myself I'd buy the game if it was any good. Never even finished the tutorial.

Was it Spacewar?

enforce encryption and don't enable UTP. they'll know you're being a bad goy because they know the websites you go to, but they don't know what you're doing. In most of the world it means they can't possibly have the grounds to pursue you legally.

rutracker's bretty good, easy to join (there's a guide on reddit, linked on the install gentoo wiki) probably won't go dead.

Just ignore it. They won't do shit.

Try 120kb/s you fucking richfag.

(checked)
that's what I did, stopped for a month then reset my IP and keeped on pirating. That was almost over ten years ago. I only completely stopped after pirate bay & kickass torrents went down

never used µTP but thanks for the warning.
polite sage because this is a shit thread tbh

...

I remember a time when torrents warn't a thing so you had to pay for pirated CDs.

I thought it was some kind of trustfund that they added brendan fraser to out of pity instead of a job.

...

I live in fucking California. I live a few hours away from some of the richest people on the planet. And this is what I have to put up with.

I can't wait to escape.

Not to mention the extra input lag.

youtube.com/watch?v=oc28SH2ESA4

It's like how I had to install internet Explorer to get Dead Rising to start. Sometimes the weirdest shit will get a game to work.

Wasn't Google fibre supposed to shake up the industry?

Did they get paid off? How do you pay off fucking billionaires??

Google Fiber is still rolling out. Fuck that though. It may be fast but you know they're also spying on you twice as hard.

It's likely the code was set-up in a certain environment and as a result needs certain things to be present in order to work. So "bad coding" is the most accurate answer.

No Google Fiber here. It's not profitable enough for them, so it's just Frontier. It wasn't so bad back when Verizon owned it, but apparently they were considered a monopoly or something, so Frontier was allowed to buy it up. Antitrust Laws are anti-consumer bullshit.

How do I feel about this?

Yeah I just remembered not only it adds the input lag of double buffering vsync but it also introduces 1 extra frame of lag due to the way dwm's asynchronous compositing works. it's double buffering vsync, but twice as bad and we're not even talking the extra processing being part of the compositor adds. I said fullscreen leaves the gpu exclusive to the program but it really doesn't, you can still run programs that use the gpu on the background and windows has some extra processing and latency from doing that even if you're on fullscreen.
Linux has a similar issue due to the way X.Org works, it's not as bad as windows but it does. It's why retroarch can render directly to the framebuffer on linux and work without a X.Org server and then the latency is better than some of the consoles it emulates, and GPU/CPU performance is slightly enhanced too.

I bet you wish it paid for it, you faggot.

I dunno seems like a problem with all versions cuckboi.

Oh fuck, they know. MOVE IN

The only thing that ever happened is this

Good News user:

>tfw when linux as far as home use goes is nearly unpozzable unless you wine a windows virus or are a retard who runs firefox as root to play shitty porn flash games

God damn it.

had to fully nuke it,there was no coming back

Do people not scan shit before opening it?

Don't worry, user, i get it.

...

Back then I didn't
I still don't
I usually sandbox anything super shady or uncommon nowadays, reading comments also goes a really long way

with all the torrent sites going down thought its as risky as ever

Reminds me of the time before I knew about torrents so I had to download games that were zipped into 20 to 50 parts manually for days and when I would be finished sometimes those dirty russians used to love doing that

Go suck a cock.

I pirated Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus and played it for about two hours when I suddenly realized the game wasn't saving my progress. So I bought it.

Why did you mention Canada twice?

GET ON THE GROUND FUCKO

I'm sorry.

You fucking gay.

Where's that vampire slut from?

I got it, installed it. It was not the worst thing but it certainly wasn't very fun, they attempted Brutal Doom & Doom despite having no idea how to actually go about either one. Levels weren't well designed, secrets were awful and pointless essentially being easter eggs, the shotgun was floaty shit with a limited ammo count, plasma rifle was made into a water pistol, really shitty perks were added to increase armor, hitpoints, ammo count and the like, experience was how that worked.
So the biggest offence to me was how shit the difficulties were, nightmare everything is a bullet sponge, and an amazing shot across the fucking map, shit maps. The "story" is a joke, difficulties are fucked, and level design is trash.

Do you have brain problems or are you born after 2k user-kun?

We ignored them, but it was honestly embarassing to get a C&D for Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey if you ever took at look at all my harddrives.

...

My little shithead brother would regularly fuck our computers up essentially beyond repair because "You weren't there to help use the CD"

took me a second

I hadn't found out about your exact method but I did know relaunching the game generally did the trick. One weird-ass bug for sure, but it did get more infrequent with the latest updates.

At least you Canucks can pirate anything you want legally. I wish the US had IP laws as broken as yours.

>Use Steam Queue to find new games to pirate

I can't tell

...

Tell us the name of the game then.

Same user here. I was saving after every mission. It wasn't until about two hours in that I realized I wasn't actually overwriting any data, there was nothing there. Or do you just think I'm a retarded child that assumes everything autosaves?

hopefully, she's an ex by now

oh I get it now.

majority of posters like you are faggots

>Interest for it died years ago, but has a shitload of mods(including ones for my obscure fetishes)
>It is only really good for a few faps, entirely because of the mods

At least I saved $30 bucks.

did you change the resolution when you put it in windowed mode? because that would cause the framerate to rise.

...

>>>Holla Forums

Fuck.

Remember getting viruses from pirated PC games years ago but I'm a lot more careful now. I only get false positives from my antivirus now.

Are they broken or are they just not enforced?

...

lets not forget such classics as:

It's not that they're unenforced, it's that no company in their right mind would take it to court because there is a $5000 dollar damages cap on those kinds of cases. It's easily not worth it.

...

You don't know shit. When I was a boy, I had to pirate Runescape.

you one of them daggone transformers?

...

Who else would you be, you goddamn retard?

I had no idea what to do or what could it mean, aside from the fact that game is contacting someone every time it is launched. It got uninstalled, and I didn't replay it until I found language pack that worked properly with GoG version. I had no idea what sort of info was being sent, but so far none seems to have stolen my info or anything, so apparently it wasn't anything too dangerous.

Might have been one of windows' ridiculous firewall rules, assuming you have it on.

Where the fuck do you live in? Nunavut? Even in a 3000 people northern town I can get 60Mbps down with unlimited download for around $100/mo

...

I once pirated skyrim and it was total dogshit.

Alternatively

Technology forums.
Where old software problems don't apply anymore, and when you find something similar you post on that thread, when actually your problem might not have anything to do with what people were experiencing back then. Gets worse when you consider that the people who posted on that thread get the notification for your new post even though they have nothing to do with what you're experiencing.
No, I hate the necro rule bullshit, I'm just explaining their reasoning.

When you experience* something similar

Would be nice if antiviruses didn't false positive keygens and other shit
That should be illegal. They're outright lying.

Do you mean stuttering or the game actually freezing and not responding anymore?

...

So there are other people who also think necro rules are fucking retarded

then why are non-technology forums swamped with that shit?

how does this make you feel?

explained it.
Forums for non tech things might all have their own reasonings for doing it, but I think their reasons are ultimately not strong enough and the damages caused by necro rules are bigger than what they're preventing.

To be fair it's not what you download it's how you download. And I hear Twilight is enjoyably bad the later you go into it. Can't defend 50 shades of Cuck though.

Which game was it?

I live in the vicinity of a significant scientifc research institution and my Internets can occasionally go up to a 1000 kb/s downlink on a good day.
And that was after I had to phone the ISP to inquire about the supposed switch to VoIP that was supposed to happen several years ago, they eventually gave me a semi-working ADSL2+ Annex J line with a shit SNR but 10ms latency on multiplayer gemus.
However they forgot to unlock some of the unused frequencies resulting in the local Multiplexer locking my connection at 120kb/s upload speed whereas a relative of mine living in some remote hamlet has a 300kb/s down and 200kb/s uplink.

even better is the fact that a competing ISP has their headquarters 3km down south but offers no service in my area due to lack of infrastructure. Guess we're not diverse enough to recieve free VDSL like the designated shitskin district right next to us.

At least they don't throttle anything.

please post the Kirino image

Thanks for reminding me to never again buy Paradox games but instead keep pirating their 150 bucks worth of DLC's.

GTA IV. Ridiculously bloated download of 14 GB. Steering wobbles while driving making it unplayable. Never touch Rockstar trash again. Only time in 20 years something didn't work.

I repeatedly torrent and delete games I don't like so that devs lose a lot of money and go out of business

...

You gotta be shitting me. Even for canuck dollars, that's fucking insane. A 300Mb/s download, 300Mb/s upload connection costs 17 Canadian dollars per month here and is listed as the most expensive one the ISP offers

lol that's me. I waited a day for Project reality to download thinking I would be able to run since I'm able to play BF2 only to find out you need a PC powerful enough to run BF3

Dark Souls 3 requires turning virtual memory on even though it doesn't use up regular RAM. Wastes an extra 8 GB for one game and is damaging my SSD with needless writes.

Windows itself has been worse than any of the viruses in the last 15 years. God help you if you use an anti-virus. Just remember never to use a computer for anything important.

I use avast. It's free and saved me a couple of times when I did something utterly retarded

...

...

...

Geez Paradox is really doing their best to try and stop me from buying rest of the DLC to EU4 once those hit Summer Sale.

I basically haven't pirated games for several years now. I tried to Pirate Civ VI but couldn't get non-Russian version to run. Not too long ago I pirated Saya no Uta, weird Japanese Visual Novel but it freezes when loading a saved game and some commenter felt that it was appropriate to include spoilers in his comment that didn't help me fix the problem.

are you retarded?

I agree that the LDC are overpriced and include features that should be in base game. Despite this, EU4 is one of the few games in recent years that makes me want to play it hours and hours on end.

I could consider pirating but I'm going to wait and see how big of a Jew Paradox is going to be during Summer Sale first

Pirate it, for heaven's sake. Buy the base game if you have to, to get access to the mods, but buying the DLCs is grounds for best goy award

Why bother? Just pirate it to begin with and if the game somehow manages to be good then buy it on sale. Just don't do it on Steam. I wouldn't even buy it though to be honest. I don't support jews.

...

Get E-Box my dude. They're a company of frogs that are taking down the ISP oligarchy.

nigger are u me?

netbox.cz/files/podpora/ceniky/domacnost/2017_07_01_nw-cenik_netbox_domacnosti.pdf

shit, I actually missed the line above and it's 650 kč in total, so 37 canadian dolalrs a month. My mistake, sorry

...

Running a toaster with only 800GB of storage is really tough.

Different parts of the country have different ISP's, and some areas are only serviced by one.
There are some really kikey motherfuckers out there.

If you don't live near a city or in Quebec, you typically get gouged.

Piracy is wrong! If you pirate it will reflect in your soul and you'll become an ugly goblin!

Here's your problem. Over here practically any area has at least 2 ISPs available, with cities and such having even more, so they're in fierce competition for users. They usually throw in TV and landline too, just to attract more people. Every other year somebody raises internet speed and the others have to scramble to keep up or get left behind.

...

The three biggest cities have 1GBps down/50MBS up for around 150CAD/mo. Believe me, if you're white and want to keep your sanity intact, you'll take the increased cost and stay as far away as possible from urban centers in Canada.

S-surely you mean 1Gbps, right??

But what if I'm already an ugly goblin?

So that's why I managed to dodge the overcharge other anons talked about. I'll be damned, must be the last good thing this fucking province did since 1960.

Yes I do, my bad.

A classic

I wish goblins actually looked like that. It'd make them amazing breeding material.

It was funny as fuck.

Goblins are fictional creatures so they look like whatever

...

Truly a high quality bread

our lovely telecom monopolies just want you to stop playing games and be productive.
a 20 minute drive away i could be getting 120/20 mbps

also applies to tech problems too

I live in Ontario, roughly an hour away from Toronto and a 3 min drive from the nearest town. In my case it's just a matter of there not being any cable lines on my road (there is 2 roads away, though. huehue) so I'm stuck with wireless towers which really suck for online gaming. Wasn't so bad until Netflix became a thing.
I have about a three hour window in which I can play with a non-volatile, fairly low ping and it seriously fucks with my sleep schedule.

In my experience the bigger provinces aren't so bad if you have cable access. You'll generally have options and it's pretty pricey but normally the ISPs aren't total turbojews like Comcast.

mistakes were made

This will never stop triggering me.

>Megaupload link

All my biggest problems have been with buying games. I got locked out of Castle Crashers on 360 because of how I signed out of my account. Every other account on the console can play it, but not the one I used to buy it.
So I stopped playing it.

Why the fuck was that service so popular

My ISP has been overselling bandwidth or something because for the last few months, off and on, I'll have an issue where a page just won't load for a few minutes. The internet isn't down but it acts like it is, so I have to sit and wait for it to decide to come back. I've also noticed my internet going to shit when I first boot up a game with any online functionality, now. Started around the same time.

Feels real bad being a poorfag. Like tears in the rain, user. Like tears in the rain.

Because it did the job for things like music albums while surviving for almost a decade. Once you were stuck with downloading shit that were over 100MB though, it was a pain in the ass. I think it was one if not the first of those filesharing sites which offered direct download to the masses, instead of p2p. Megaupload blew them the fuck out though. I still miss that fat fuck's service. Mega doesn't quite have the same usefulness.

I'm scared of this the most. If my toaster dies I lose years of shit I can't even remember getting from

Our software is living on borrowed time. Better back your shit up any way you can. I now have a small suitcase folder of old vidya I have burned on dvd to prevent this again. It's not the best solution but at least now I know my vidya is backed up somewhere.

You better find cheap DVD-Rs to back up to. I lost over 2 TB of data through the years which I can't ever find again since the places I got them from died one after the other. Nowadays, I backup everything I get.

Not only software, hardware too. Can't hope for an HDD to last 20 years. Hell, you're lucky if it lasts more than 5 since most of them are made in Asia with crappy parts.

Man, I'm kind of tempted to start burning all my porn to DVDs. Some of it's fairly rare.

I know that feeling way to fucking well. My motherboard died and took my media hard drive with it. If you don't know, replacing a motherboard is a huge bitch if your original OS drive is still fine since drive issues are now going to make your life a living hell unless you reinstall your OS, do some fancy OS chaining to move your shit from your old OS to your new one, or making a partition and dealing with your new cut up hard drive. Fuck, I hated losing all that shit.

If that happens, make sure you have an OS you saved on and can boot from a USB or DVD drive. That way, if you have enough external storage, you can put everything important from that HDD onto that external storage. Once a Mobo fucks up it's far easier to reinstall the OS than try and make it work through near magic.

Forgot to add, I wouldn't even try to partition a drive that already has data on it, without formatting beforehand. Way too many risks for shit to get corrupted and become absolutely useless.

Just use a fucking text file, you are not cool for modifying a system file or in the more likely case using a program to generate one for you. Whenever I obtain something through a torrent I always disable downloading frivolous bullshit like nfo files and THIS WAS HOSTED BY X TRACKER bullshit. Also the horribad titles need to stop [HQ][HD][FULL_CRACK][DLCs] [MULTi6] [QOOB][TEAMASS][YIFFY]

At least it seems with modern torrents they found out that we are no longer on DOS and put spaces instead of underscores and hyphens. Thank fuck that only took them 20 years to learn. Shit even fucking usenet can support spaces where all that dumb shit started.

kek
ex yugoslavian countries get 6Mb down and 1.3Mb up for 30$ a month, including TV and phone.

According to Windows explorer I have exactly 500 icons/pictures/shortcuts/folders/.zip/.rar/.7z files on my two 1080 monitors.

That's why I said a motherboard dying is messy no matter how you slice it. God damn, I am still not use to this new desktop or setup. It still feels so foreign.

Internet is faster though now, I remember when things took days to download.

I'll never stop pirating though as it it seems at least 50% of games are unplayable on technical issues at the moment anyway.

one of many scenarios

Honestly my favorite is stack exchange posts, where everyone trips over themselves to make the biggest abomination of code to solve something simple. I sometimes get so fed up with it that I just say fuck it and spend an hour reading through official documentation and manage to solve the issue with like 3 lines of code compared to the 500 line import every library ever made shitshow that nerds seems to think solves the issue.

...

BUT user ONE OF THOSE THREE LINES IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH A CERTAIN OS THAT YOU DO NOT USE OR CARE ABOUT, DON'T YOU WANT TO HAVE CODE THAT CAN BE USED ON ANY MACHINE, INCLUDING ENIAC? THE 500 LINE CODE IS CLEARLY SUPERIOR!!!

Buy DVD, just a steam key.

They legit burn steam keys to DVD nows, like fucking use a CD if you are that stingy.

Could be the same reason they removed the half-life platformer game. It had a link for the devs website which expired and got bought by a porn company which in turn directed right to their front page.

IIRC there is a way to add it to your steam library since it still exists on valves servers but cannot recall what it was.

Ew. If you want a good movie about a D/s relationship, get pic related instead.

*sigh*

that feel when

hate it when that happens

Rainbow Six Vegas 2's netcode doesn't work unless you set your system locale to United States. I learned this because my locale is usually set to Japan for research purposes.

WOOOOOOW BUGGED GROOMING MECHANICS

...

What game?

Wait, is it VA-11 Hall-A?

>Pop-up window: Dumby.
>Give up and wipe the HD just to re-install windows 7.
fug

yes it was

user, let me sit you down and tell you how companies like Microsoft and Sony will never give a shit about your problems and will never fix them. The only thing that gets them doing something is a lawsuit and even then good luck getting anything off the ground.

Windows
Since most programs store settings in the appdata folder or their respective install folders since lol dealing with the dumpster fire that is registry entries.

Lunix is even easier
If you want to have full system backed up so you can easily get back into it

Both of these are assuming you want to use the same HDD. Usually if a motherboard dies I also buy a new HDD because why not.

Holy fuck, this is the dumbest fucking thing. Just admit you are shit programmers or accept that people hate your idea of makes something good. Especially in software

Best part, it is python 2.7 code so the whole shit was changed in a update process goes out the door with all the correct "modules"(libraries ;^3) and somehow fails to run even on linux which runs fucking everything with impunity. Half the time it is because they did not define a function.

TFW having to debug code when I am lazy and inexperienced so I am copying and pasting from a reddit code website. I think it is time to just get a programming book and learn this shit because the only person I can ever rely on when it comes to tech issues or doing computer shit is myself.

Also, the best solution is the one with the least upvotes ;^3

Classic. Those turd burglars seem to be in a fucking competition on "how to make the best code ever" and don't actually care about solving your issue. For example, you're trying to do some simple quick fix for a small program and don't give a shit about deprecation or getting the most optimalized code ever, since you don't plan to distribute it and don't plan on running it too often. You already know they'll swarm you about that shit, so you specifically type this in; that you don't need something perfect, just something that'll funcion. What you'll get is a long rant about how you need to learn all this for your own good and that you absolutely have to use this new method that you don't even begin to understand and that looks like it'd take you the entire fucking day to implement. The thing has a gorillion upvotes, naturally. And then, downboated to hell's bottom and with a million comments about how it's incompatible on certain architectures, how one fuction contained therein is deprecated, how it's more optimalized to rewrite it in 50% more code, you get one person take pity on you and actually post the thing you need, provided you're lucky.

We just wanted to watch that shit movie to see how bad it was and it was really bad.
I shiggy the diggy.
I'm still perplexed - - those where the ONLY things to ever trigger a response – but my ISP never made any more threats or even bothered to call me.

The Twilight Stuff is simply because she never saw all the movie
This is why movie piracy will never go away.

You have no idea how bad Twilight can get if you haven't sat through them.

Even better.

Then, 50 shades.

Those shit series really inspired me to get into writing. I mean if shit like this can get through, any thing can get through with the right amount of nepotism.

I totally forgot Driv3r was even on PC. Not even sure if it runs.

I love this guy's business model so damn much.
It's so ridiculous, yet so straight forward.
Turns money into memes.

Now I gotta watch them. It sounds like such a trainwreck.

lmao

That was the only time I used PB for torrents, never again

...

Oh god I hate those smarmy fucking apple-polishers who only click on help threads to grandstand about how they're a good goy for spilling their pockets on some shit they could have gotten for free if they weren't such the idiot faggot. 5 minutes later their shitmouth is rendered obsolete as someone actually useful posts.

fuck off
feels good to live in america

...

I did this at first, left it languishing for about 4 months after DL-ing and played it over winter.

...

ayy

Wow, I get all that and then some for a cool $15/month. Glad I left that shithole country so I could live in a developed nation B)

E;R:^)

Wow.

...

They were an item?

My area is served by 5+ ISPs and they're all kikes.
Heck, practically every ISP in this country is one.
guess which country
hint: its fibreoptic infrastructure is garbage among its neighbours

If it was that then yup. At least wait a week or so before you download big mainstream files or have a good isp or vpn. Also some internet providers will call you out on that such as Verizon and such

You live in Sweden.

Nah, in the glorious city of Prague.

...

I-In a home setup?

I got a gorillion viruses after downloading Endless Legend on TPB, the first time I had that happening to me in over a decade. It wasn't even a torrent from some random fag, the guy had a green skull so it was pretty surprising.

Do you think that reading the comments would've been wise or the first thing you should've done? I mean first time or not.

its just a false positive i swear. you know, its just the nature of the crack :^)

nice

I don't even know what I'm doing.

Maybe it is a profiling thing?
Like teenage girls and young females are most likely to cease piracy after getting a C&D letter so such material relating to that audience is specifically targeted and monitored?

NFOs are text files, retard

True but by default Windows tries to open it in System Infomation, promptly lossing it's shit. Also I am not shure if notepad can open them but Notepad++ is better in every single way so I can't see why one would want to use it in the first place.

Gunners Heart before you ask, shit is like 20 bucks and never on sale on fucking Gamersgate of all places and also crippled by tages
Not even kidding never found it anywhere else
>turns out the executable was actually a virus that extracted the game after executing itself
>but turns out it's not compatible at all with system newer than XP which is why it simply had an error message and launched the game anyways on my newer build

Notepad can open them fine but you might los some formatting sometimes.
Regardless there's no single reason to not immediately replace the default notepad with Notepad2 (++ is fine too but you cannot fully replace the default notepad with it as easily and I doubt the vast majority of users need anything more than what Notepad 2 has to offer)
