This is the weirdest news I've heard all month. So Comcept were still operating and hiding undercover, but didnt care to let their backers know what happened? Also, why did Level 5 of all people buy them, did the deal with Fuze and Red Ash go south? Comcept is primairily idea guys the company, so what was it that made Level 5 go "Man, Comcept has untapped potential", unless Inafune is great at networking or a friend there had to bail him out?

Like maybe with level 5 keeping them in check they'll at least produce something decent, especially since they mention that they're going to hire more employees and make it Level 5's Osaka studio, but the looming dragon they'll have to face is Inafune's and Comcept's damaged reputation. They really need to let people know what happened, I guaruntee letting people know "we fucked up since we didnt think making this many ports would eat up our budget that fast" would be a less damaging statement to your fans than it would to say nothing. Evidently I dont know corperate speak since the opposite happened.

Maybe Level-5 saw it more beneficial to buy the entire company rathet than capital piece by piece as one transaction rather than multiple ones. As for technology and talent maybe Level-5 can bring out the best in them better than conman could.

Current Level 5 is also a pile of shit, so they're a good match.

That goes without saying. Mighty No 9 despite having a record breaking KS success only had 4 million which was probably eaten up fast by the amount of ports and delays. Maybe Red Ash if it's still happening could end up decent at this rate

And that is what makes this purchase interesting. Who knows what Level-5 saw in Comcept. Maybe Mighty No. 9 could have been a good game under the right direction. Maybe not. Maybe Comcept has interest in working on Level-5 IPs and the compromise is to sell the company.
