The game has become focused around overpowered new items and training methods, an example being nightmare zone, where you can semi-afk your melee skills for some oft he best rates in the game by consuming nearly free potions and make 150k a day trading your excess points for herb boxes. The economy revolves around a SINGLE PLAYER boss that has ridiculously good drops that invalidate skilling as a way to make money. Things like selling excess runes from runecrafting for money were notched off a while ago by rune boxes and other "quality of life" updates, which killed air/law/nat running. In their incompetence, the devs added a buff to the Karamja general store that made it the best money making method in the game (sell noted rune shit to the store). Also the GE took away the social aspect of trading and further devalued skilling. It has become an autism contest between a few maxed players, like another version of pic related. Low to mid level content was gutted for the sake of a few efficiencyfags.
