Do you even play pokemon? Steel is still arguably the #1 best defensive typing in the game, maybe losing out only to fairy, and ghost is still absolute shit. It's almost bug tier in uselessness, which is especially true when you consider that like bug, its best type combination is with steel. The only two really good ghost mons are gengar and aegislash, and gengar got nerfed hardcore this gen. Aegislash is half steel, has a very strong gimmick, and has 150/150 offenses so it could be basically any secondary type instead of ghost and still be good (but not as good, because steel/ghost is a very good combination, and also pretty much the only way to make ghost not shit other than pre-nerf gengar).

Neutral coverage doesn't matter much when you could just bring out actually useful coverage. All the good ghost types as of now are only good due to their secondary typing(Mimikyu, Aegislash, Sableye) and/or due to their abilities(past examples all apply).
Shadow ball hitting everything bar normal and dark neutrally hardly fucking matters because it's only SE on other ghosts or psychics, and shadow claw is a fucking joke. The only good use for ghost's coverage is pairing it with fighting to be able to hit every poge in game neutrally, but even then you're not making much of a dent in anything without nasty plot/calm mind to boost you up. Outside of STAB, the only poges who'd carry ghost coverage are psychic types to beat other psychic types anyways.

One of which is itself, and the other one sharing the same dark weakness. That's not good at all, especially because ghost has basically no good attacks. You get, what, shadow ball and shadow sneak? They're okay, average at best. Offensively, ghost is just dark but without knock off and lower damage. In other words, it's garbage, largely because knock off is the main reason anyone cares about dark.

The idea of the third version was originally supposed to let you catch them all without relying on two carts.

DP were the last time GF tried to improve on the pokemon formula. They took old pokemon and made them usable again by giving them evolutions, the game looks amazing while still keeping the original feel, the region is varied and fun and there's a lot of small details.

Black and White was the start of the end, because that's when they decided to officially go full anime and stop trying.

All the legendary stuff in gen 2 was essentially side lore, they had nothing to do with the main story of Team Rocket's return and the player's rise to the pokemon league.

I'm fine with actually being able to play these games, but imagine the hardcore fans, ie the ones that Nintendo NEEDS to sell this thing to for it to be sucessful, having bought a WII U and played all of these games, likely to death. Why would you pay for a game you already bought once just for portable convenience and some extra content that really should have been in the original game? Thats the real issue here, if you didn't buy a Wii U, the switch is a pretty good deal with all the ports that have been announced. and the ones that are undoubtedly coming (Smash, Mario Party, Maybe Bayo or W101) If I bought a Wii U, not only would I feel cheated for buying a console that is slowly becoming literally obsolete, but also for buying a new console that is getting all of the games that I've already played.

Also no mainline pokemon for the switch, not even an HD port of SUMO, which sucks.

Releasing Pokken Tournament for the Switch makes sense I guess. Because few people bought a Wii U but the Switch is expected to outsell the Wii U, I wouldn't be surprised if more Wii U games didn't come to the Switch in some updated form.

The "party" character of the Switch console also might make the game more appealing than it was before, since now it's fairly easy just to have local two player like with any fighting game.

The starting point, so cringy, much nostalgic. The story basically revolves around kicking Team Rocket's ass, raping Gary/Green's anal and catch'em all. Literally no post-game content except kidnapping Mewtwo from his den. Rock Tunnel happened. Fucking Zubats. Simple and repetitive. Very beta.

Still cringy, but now with more colors. Team Rocket returns to annoy you but the real troublemaker is that damn Eusine blocking your paths for no reason and framing you for trying to steal his pet dog. I hate had to swim from Olivine to Cianwood. More complex but still felt somewhat beta.

The original "7/10 too much water". Tentacool literally everywhere. This is the start of repeating formula where the protagonist were forced to save the world from destructive beasts. What the fuck happened to day/night cycles? Graphic is okay by now. Forced to learn Braille. Battle Frontier is one of the best post-game experiences so far.

One of the best gen to me. Massive region, better than Kanto+Johto so much exploring time. Damn that Cynthia, still give me some chills even now. Cyrus the Edgelord. Immersive berry-planting adventure. Lesser Battle Frontier but still okay. Had fun digging up useless gemstones throughout the region. Had to hack to get God pokemon.

Most balanced gameplay among all gen. Great main-game events, awesome post-game activities. Team Plasma is literally shit-tier ISIS wannabe. N almost being Eusine here. Seasonal changes is a great concept, too bad they didn't carry it over to next gens. Elite 4 is now customizable. Great games, shitty anime, crappy pokemon designs. Floating ice-cream, snowflakes, rusty gears, walking garbage, fuck those bullshit.

They took everything shitty from previous gens and amplify them even further. This is where Nintendo's kikenes becomes even more apparent. Graphic reached milestone but gameplay reached rock-bottom. This gen felt even less beta than gen1. Everything is incomplete. Literally no post-game content. Fuck Battle Maison. Thank god I have my motherfucking Durant to help me. The only 2 things cool in this gen is Mega evolutions and gen3 remakes. Everything else is utter Garbodor.

Good graphics and story. Twists everywhere but they literally throw them towards you from a mile away so your reactions were mostly "yeah, I thought so".
