Generally not a fan of character close up covers but I think they always looked good for the old Blizzard games. Maybe they just weren't overdone yet back then.

But those are all shit boxarts except for duke..

Same for these, ico and mgr are alright, but re4 is just the most generic garbage.

The premise is good, but the execution blows. It looks poorly made.

A lot of those minimalist boxes would look 10 times better if there weren't a bunch of fucking logos and warnings slapped onto them. It's a shame really, why can't they put them on the back?

I like PlanetSide's because of the desert setting and blue sky with a war going on, it would've been better if it wasn't focused on a plain aspect of the game especially fucking Vanu.

I really appreciate it when a non-sports game uses actual people on the cover with little editing. I can't really think of any more modern examples though.
