It would've been better if you could control your head without it being attached to the gun, sort of like ARMA. I found myself not really enjoying the tactical aspect of the slo-mo because turning speeds it up. I figured you'd get to think in the middle of a firefight, but instead you end up just planning out a route and doing it until you succeed. Ended up like Hotline Miami but slow.
Subsequently, this probably plays a lot better in VR where you can move your head independently of your aim.

The fact that turning takes time is a part of the gameplay. It forces you to think about when you should take your eyes of the enemy in front of you to check your surroundings. Situational awareness becomes a part of time management. It's a good mechanic in my opinion.

Superhot's a fun game. The story is trash, but endless mode is pretty fucking fun. I wish that they had expanded on more of it though, because the game overall feels like placeholder Unity assets, through and through.
I wish it had shit like dual pistols, dives, rolls and other shit. Made me think of the Specialists mod from way back when.
A sequel would be fun, if they built upon the first game's concept, got a non-shitty engine and made the gunplay much more realized. I'd love to see some kind of Blade Runner/Shadowrun Matrix type shit, and embrace the good parts of cyberpunk without the pretentious faggotry of its story.

Problem is that it's not hard to git gud at it. Once you master the game and its logic, it becomes painfully obvious just how rigid and stiff everything is. Adding fluidity would turn it from an okay game with a great idea, to an excellent one.
Maybe you're right. Implement those moves into the level design moving through tight spaces by rolling to get to areas that weren't accessible before for example and you could have an amazing game with a lot of depth.

I enjoyed it for what it is, too. The problem is their use of subliminal messaging in order to get people to advertise for them. It just made them look really desperate and ended up backfiring on them. I wish that they did more with it, because it's a cool concept.

It's worth a pirate for the ~2 hours of content that's there, but overall I'd give it a 6.5/10. It's barely above average. With M/KB, it's disgustingly easy and there's really no challenge to be found in the campaign to the point that you'll probably never have to repeat any of the levels outside of the very last one which is just an exercise in tedium.
This is a game where it'd probably be both more challenging and more fun if you played it in VR.

I felt like it made up for lack of content with the various modes that unlock after the shitty story mode. They did a pretty good job of making them all feel unique and challenging within the same environments which I give them points for.
