Even a 5-10% replacement of regular anons with those that could be classed as "summerfags" (a category that would in itself need to be defined carefully, but referencing the cancer we are all familiar with) would likely results in the decrease in quality we periodically experience. "User numbers are approximately steady lol" isn't an argument, and statistics in the hands of retards is shaping up to be the modern "magic" to justify whatever position you prefer for non-rational reasons.

The Baldur's Gate Main character is called Abdel Adrian, and, interestingly, it seems the community at large does not have a picture of him during his youth during the events of the series.

For whatever reason in the 4th edition of D&D they made Abdel the Duke of Baldur's gate as a part of a quest in that game, and gave us a picture of him in his elderly stage.

The only thing people had to allegedly go by was the description of his youth in the 4e version, the shitty worse than modern-Bioware tier novels, and his current look, and the only thing you can find on a google search is his statistics presented in at least 3 instances, one from his 4e stats, one from a dragon Magazine entry, and the other from the default pregenerated character "abdel" found in the BG game itself.

Even in the thread where they make a custom (So no generic Emperor of Mankind/Conan image) of him.

Anyway, I look in that fucking thread right, and there's this guy who gives Abdels stats from the 2e Dragon magazine.

So I go this shitty site which is the only place I know where to get Dragon magazine from (been there before to get the 3.5 Suel Lich Template.) and I get this fucking issue of Dragon magazine

And right there, in the fucking .PDF I find a fucking portrait of Abdel, colored drawn and all.

Like, the fuck? How the fuck do you get those 2e Dragon magazine stats and somehow miss this?

Anyhow, I took the .pdf cropped the portrait from it and wanted to use it, bu tthe problem was it didn't look "BG enough", one of the main issues being that it didn't match too much with Abdels later depiction in the 4e Murder in Baldur's gate module.

The descriptions for the PC were fine, but the issue of ski ntone was wrong because of the fucking lighting the artist chose for the magazine, and because it wasn't a fullblown digitial .pdf, but instead scanned, which sucked.

Anyhow, above is the shitty fan-made portrait for Abdel, next is his portrait in the Dragon Magazine entry, and after that is the 4e Abdel Adrian in his old age.

The last Image is an edited version of the 2e Abdels head onto the Baldurs gate Portrait he uses as a pregenerated character, to make it have that "baldurs gate photoshopped portrait feel" with my *attempt* at getting his skintone closer to his latest depiction, and fixing the fucking tomatoe skin red lighting, but I'm simply not that skilled enough in photoshop to make the 2e portrait look like the stuff the BG game offers.

I'd like someone to get a remastered and redrawn Abdel Adrian based on a comparison between the 4e and 2e Image, if possible which I could crop and use as a portrait ingame.

Additionally, I can provide links to the information regarding Abe's descriptions across mediums, because the 4e depiction does draw from the 2e one, (Usage of the Broadsword, +2 dagger, chainmail and ability usage.) additionally, I can give you the dragon magazine .pdf and the photoshop files I used to make that shitty edit.

I don't think they're doing a bad job with Nu-FE, even though the untranslated games are still piss easy when taken into account how many mollycoddle things they do involve more casual players in the franchise. I was gifted the english version of FE15 recently. It's not bad, very faithful to the original game. This makes the nu team (meaning the one formed post RD) 2/1 for faithful remakes.

I will presume you already know that it's a hybrid soccer x rpg title, kind of like Captain Tsubasa except with a much better control scheme that uses the stylus to perform all actions and some of the face buttons to move the camera (btw SEGA tried to posthumously claim copyright infringement because some shitty J-League game of theirs used something that might look like that, just a factoid).
Now, the first three games are fucking masterpieces. Not because of technical aspects (it's sorely lacking in the graphical department and they're missing a lot of key modes) but because not only is the gameplay very unique, it allows some major customization by having thousands of recruitable characters, most kind of worthless but with a considerable chunk of them that can do real damage. Every character is relevant and team-building is a key part of the game, especially the second one (arguably the best executed ones in all matters gameplay and cuhrazee). However, despite being a very enjoyable series, the first chapters were plagued by three problems, as they were:

Now this was mostly due to the DS having shit specs, but new hopes were brought on with the GO series on the 3DS. Except they were all shattered when the PR team decided that, you know what, the Fujoshi enjoying the show should be our core audience. So this meant a heavier focus on story (while the original games had that too, they wouldn't strip you of any control and force you to perform specific missions like they think you're too dumb to win the match), team-building thrown to the window by focusing on very few overpowered characters, as well as some unlockable ones that are still too few compared to the plethora of guys you can recruit, fully customizable movesets on NG+ (so now there's no need to scout for strategic players as you can just give the best ones whatever tool they need), a MASSIVE focus on grinding and maxing out stats instead of micromanagement and they "expanded" the scouting system into a fucking shopping list. Beforehand, you could have a manager scout for players, bring you the info on those who would based on RNG, pay her the money to have the player and then convince them to join you by beating them in a quick soccer battle. Now instead you buy "cards" of players, who have a list of usually 4 things you have to do to get them. The first ones are usually acquiring certain key items (which you get by playing a shitload of battles against one specific team and hoping they'd drop that item), others are random shit like taking photographs of dildo-shaped rocks or something, and finally you need to acquire another fucking player. Now the problem is that to do so, you have to reiterate these steps for most players, so you get a conga line of unbearably weak faggots that you have to scout for, just to get one guy. Captains especially are impossible to get without wasting at least 20-30ish minutes of grinding. The game time may go to the 30-40 hours of length, but the meat of the game is like 5 hours at best, it's padded to no end.

They just cannot implement it. There's no other way around it, they do not know how to make their damn games run right. Oh also there were some other games for the peecee and Wii-WiiU but they were even more broken and the peecee one was pretty much an 8 month long freemium game that was more a way to scam Jap kids than anything.

My thought process is that I need to do opposites. If the head is big the face should be small. If there are straights they should be followed or mirrored by curves. I think that stylized approach is clashing with something else. Perhaps the more extreme the opposites the more cartoony it should be and this was still relatively grounded making it uncanny.

I suppose that sounds good in words but I'll have to mess with it.

The trick is they're dying inside every day for different reasons. Some because corruption and drug cartels, others because their best women get white and black dickings while they're left with those horrid blob monsters.

Wasn't finished btw, yeah, Level 5 has mastered post game content laziness. They pad the shit out of everything and worst of all it's not even that much worth it. The first two games had the excuse of giving you content that would be crucial in multiplayer, the other ones are just to pretend there's more meat on the fire than what there actually is.
Also, I didn't touch on a crucial point of the GO series that ruined the games: they introduced Kenshins (basically think Stands from Joey Jojo Jr. Shabadoo or Personas), which used to be these very special and very rare (read: everyone had one) monsters that would give you unfathomable powers. Except they slowed down the game to a crawl all the time because each summon has a goddamn animation and the AI would conveniently evoke one of them when you got too close to their goal area. Then said kenshins turned into Armored Kenshin (read: you dress up like Saint Seiya characters), which basically give you near infinite moves for a short amount of time and add another layer to the evoking system and MixiMaxes (DBZ fusions) that do something similar in addition to make players hard to recognize because they change their color palette, and finally they added in Souls (same as Kenshins but with animals) and made it possible to preemptively MixiMax everyone, which does remove the down time but also means that you can't tell who's who unless you battle the enemy team a couple of times and memorize their formation. And it's just a shitload of added padding that gives you these huge power creeps where you just cannot win unless you play by the exact rules the game wants you to use. Up until the third game, every team adhered to a certain specific aspect: i.e. the starting lineup did really look like a bunch of highschooler misfits, the "rival team" had militaristic gear and social colors, there's one memorable encounter with a team of Otakus that might as well be the most difficult part of the game if you go in unprepared, the American National team has a fucking Michael Jackson looking bastard etc.
Meanwhile, the GO series is all over the place. The characters never look the part, most of them are pretty boys with just a couple of gonks per team to make the pretty boys stand out, they really went all in with the hair styles and colors instead of giving them any distinctive facial features and most importantly, outside of version-specific teams, none of them even look like they come from the same team. Now, the Bongistan translators tried to make it look like the original team from the first games got so strong as a club they could recruit team members from all over the world, like a top league club would (they even gave each member a foreign name and phonetic accents, so you have a team of Japanese school children who have names like Vladimir and Riccardo), but you never shake away the feeling that it's missing something. Chrono Stones is the only passable one by virtue of having a concept and a story so bizarre you just need to see yourself play against dinosaurs and recruit Jeanne of Arc, but that's it.

Personally I don't mind my old stuff being online for others to see… though I do change my art name a lot and as a rule of thumb I usually only post old or original art on here. I suppose when I do delete something under my art name it's because of some weird anxiety. I see to many issues, don't want it to represent me, and the more I look at it the more I hate it. The longer it's up the longer it gives other people a chance to look at it and hate it too, so I want to get rid of it ASAP.

I've gotten better about that lately which is why you still see the original drawings in this thread.
