Your future goals and drive in life either start to be dependent on what you think she wants or become her itself. You could run into your perfect partner in real life and realize it, but choose to ignore it because she isn't your waifu to a T. It leaves you in a state of artificial bliss, until something happens to your waifu that makes all that time you devoted to them meaningless (not that it already is), but that's something that most "waifuists" ignore because it goes against the narrative of 2D being objectively superior to 3D due to them "never leaving you". Even those who's waifus are from finished/dead series are not safe from this and suffer a worse fate, forever devoting their life to them and shunning the rest of the world around them until death. The mental state of a waifuist is clearly not a stable one. Communities like these don't help because all it does is reinforces this mentality with other people going through the same thing, relying on everyone giving you positive reinforcement on your devotion to your waifu and agreeing with you when dealing with those who point out how bad this all is for you. If this was just a bunch of friends getting together it wouldn't be as bad, but the fact that everyone participating is putting themselves in a state of denial regarding being in love makes it worse for everyone involved.

Nothing says you can't like these characters for their qualities and traits, but believing that you are actually in love with them and believing you will be with them one day is just pure delusion and almost cult mentality when in a group.

No I have been playing Postal 2. It's not amazing. I heard it was really good but it doesn't seem that great. Walking around sucks, I don't like any of the characters, the gunplay is shit, headshots don't do anything (unless you enable a cheat. wtf?) and it's not that funny.

The best part is when on Saturday you shoot a bunch of terrorists in a desert somewhere.

It's breddy gud. Characters and voice acting are top notch. I also really like the art style, reminds me of Warhammer. Combat is well enough. If you like Devil May Cry you'll like Darksiders.

The same people showing up isn't the threads fault, nor do I see that as a problem. The problem came in when the posts became more about the poster than their waifu.

As much as I hate it, I have to agree with the shitposters on this one. These threads are pure cancer nowadays and I think they need to go, at least for a while. The only other solution would be to heavily moderate the thread /a/ style and ban anyone who blogposts or tries to shit up the thread, but we all know Mark is too lazy for that.
