Knowing this board this is probably the case. Personally though I can't play it because it's slow as shit, in comparison to something like Thief or Deus Ex, where you can sprint half the level and do sneaking only when you think you're about to run into enemies.

If you have a rope arrow hanging nearby that lets you hide in the shadow clinging to it, you can do that any time you want, assuming the enemy doesn't have a bow.

You should turn it when you go to a new section or get new information and then turn it back off. You're definitely not given enough information on where your goals are to play the game without it. Not to mention that there's papers for sidequests which will tell you where the side objectives are by giving you waypoint markers and if you have them turned off then picking up the information is completely useless. That's not the kind of thing that happens to an option which the game is intended to be played with. Waypoint indicators on your screen all the time is pretty obnoxious though so I do appreciate that you get the option to turn them off.

I dont like these stealth games that are 100% stealth, and that you can kill with one button or qte. Stealth has to be one of the things you can do in the game, not forced, not the whole fucking game.

I know he wanted it to end, but honestly if that's what he wanted he should have stopped at Part 4. It has the closest to a good conclusion in the whole series instead of Pucci getting some outrageously OP stand and the universe getting reset twice

In Styx it works because the levels have so much verticality and your goblin is so agile and can get into so many small spaces you always have multiple ways to avoid guards without having to take anyone down. Most stealth games seem to focus on takedowns but in Styx simply moving from one point to another is satisfying in itself.
