VR seems amazing for the first few days then sits around gathering dust. Don't buy it off the back of the demo.

LOL. VR has no games. First you buy it. Then you play it. Then you show it off to friends. Then it gathers dust. It's all tech demos.

Pinkeye is caused by getting actual pieces of human shit in direct contact with your eyeball.
There are no HMDs where the lenses are in direct contact with either your eyeball or your chocolate starfish.

That's the fault of idiotic software devs, not the tech, but it is the cancer killing the potential of VR before it has a chance to take its first steps.

Alien Isolation, while a mediocre as fuck game, is to date the best example of VR implementation there's ever been. Full controller or WASD movement, full head-tracking so you can lean around corners or pop your head up above tabletops to look around, aiming is taken care of with the mouse, and you can turn both by turning your body and by using the mouse/stick in concert, which feels perfectly natural after a 30 second adjustment period.

All of the reasons for the "lol teleporting" cancer boil down to MUH MOTION SICKNESS, even though it's been demonstrated multiple times during the course of VR development that motion sickness is not only rare, but it is also something that is quickly eliminated with repeated exposure to VR.
The cause for motion sickness is a kind of dissonance: your eyes report motion, but your inner ear doesn't feel it, so you feel like you're both moving and not moving which doesn't make sense and makes you feel like you want to vomit. The less retarded your brain is, the faster it will realize that the perceived motion isn't real, and the queasy feelings go away forever.

But faggots want their safe spaces; they don't want to have to wait for their motion sickness to go away. They don't want to improve themselves. They just want their gratification right the fuck now, with no cost or effort on their end - and so VR will die and nobody will really miss it, because we as a society don't fucking deserve it.
