But haven't done either in 2 years, i just browse to build a modern backlog based on opinions from fellow anons, this without success due to lack of games
I only play sport games (that is games based on sports, not e-faggotry) in parties and open my old boxes to see my dusted and vastly uncompleted collection, halted due to increasing hipster prices
Movies are now my main focus but Holla Forums is only used for shitposting, /film/ rarely gets a post and the main forums for film discussion have been closing in the last months due to increasing criticism towards reboots/remakes

When I was a kid and played Morrowind for the first time, I got so annoyed at how bad I was that I searched how to enable console commands and kept god mode on the entire game.

I hated the ninja chapter in Live a Live so much that I decided to just download a save file with it already beaten.

Hang On was okay, i dislike handheld games, Nier has been called very hit or miss by folks around here, and collecting for PC Engine is equivalent of collecting ainu weaponry

The only bad thing you'll hear about Nier Automata is Denuvo and how unoptimized the port is. And don't dismiss Sonic Battle for being a sonic game and a handheld game, it's pretty much Custom Robo. And if you haven't played Yuno, do it now because it's one of the most batshit insane visual novels out there.
There will always be good games to play that you haven't played yet. When you say that there are no more good games to play, that is bullshit as there are thousands of damn good games out there that you missed.

I don't know if this is a secret or anything, but for some reason nobody ever mentions that Gannon's first form completely drops his guard when charging for his multi-bolt barrage. So you can just straight up light arrow his ass every time he is charging up and one of the only things about that fight that might be difficult is now nullified.

I fucking love how well the game handles the shift into the second part of the game. When I first started the game I knew nothing about it. At first I thought that it was going to be a highschool romance VN, then It turns into a detective style point and click game, then when you get all the timestones and get the true ending, you think the game is going to end, but no, that was only half the game now the real wild ride starts. Now it's high fantasy rollercoaster of crazy shit from cannibalizing dragon girls to interdimensional time traveling space criminals and time cops to fucking becoming Adam and Eve with your daughter.
And set up I had when playing this game made it amazing. I had the game installed on my tablet and played it in my snow covered car in the middle of winter with the tablet mounted on my steering wheel, chair reclined, wireless miniature keyboard and mouse, a nice thick blanket to wrap myself in, and snacks. Mind you I'm not homeless, I just find playing games in a cold enclosed space relaxing.

Nier Automata ia pretty clunky.

I actually prefer a linear game design as opposed to non-linear open world. I mean, I don't want the game to force me into walking a straight line but the older 3D Zelda games do this perfectly I think. You have main objectives that you have to do in a certain order, but you can also take your time and do other stuff like sidequests and all of that. Non-linear games aren't fun when I walk into 7 different areas that are outrageously above my skill level forcing me to turn back and find a different location every fucking time.
It's all off my chest, now.

That boss battle is fun though, I like the whole hitting-the-energy-ball-back-and-forth thing.

I played the demo from that one cartridge with it, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Sonic the Hedgehog quite a bit until Road Rash completely stole my attention.

Yeah, and they're all ports of games from the previous generations. Those were six genesis games on a single genesis cart, not six master system games on a genesis cart. Now imagine if you can get Gravity Rush 2, Nioh, Bloodborne, Yakuza 0, Nier Automata, and Digimon Cybersleuth all in one disc/package for the price of a single game while all on the PS4? Sony would never do that, because then they just gave you the entire library, thus no incentive to buy anymore games.

Those are all pretty simple games, so it'd be more like getting six indie games than stuff like Yakuza and Nier.

Good thing I just said I found Road Rash more appealing. I still play the fuck out of that Gear in Sonic Riders to this day when not using Grinder and the music feels like something special that immediately makes me think of that strangely serious soundtrack for a racing game.

I bought and liked to some degree one of those more recent Spyro games.

The final levels of Thief 1 were tedious and really just random monster-gauntlets. No shame in quitting the game and just watching the cutscenes on Youtube.

I'm not saying that there aren't good dating games/VN's with male leads or where a harem dating element isn't used to more positive mechanical or narrative effect, but I feel like the genre has gone downhill whether due to a lack of good stories or characters or due to just being oversaturated or due to the consumers of the genre lowering their standards and just eating up whatever shit that is put out to sell them merch. Unless you're just look for fap or cock-tease material, you have to look outside the harem genre more often for something worthwhile or meaningful.

Also, I have heard nothing but negative things about the Go. If you're deadset on a PSP (and why wouldn't you be, it's like $20 used), then a 3000 is the one I'd recommend. I'd say get both a Vita and PSP since they're both incredible in their own rights, but that'd be irresponsible without knowing your financial situation.

I wish they would have released an OST for GL2 like they do now, the actual music. Unfortunately back then it was still in the era were stuff got remixed for audio release. There are 4 tracks in there I really like but can't rip the game disc well enough, and when I do I get files that I can't convert to audio ones.

I guess I'll watch it. I'm old hat to everything anime so I doubt I'll rate it that highly, but it's only 12 episodes so no harm in trying it out.

I'm not super up-to-date on my knowledge, but it appears to be possible and relatively easy. After about 5 minutes of simple research, it seems you'll need a Vita on 3.60FW or below and that's about it. I haven't really looked into it too heavily though, since I do have an old PSP. You should, of course, do your own research on it before you commit.

I enjoyed both Skyrim (PC) and I think Oblivion is garbage. I have over 500 hours logged on skyrim, and regret nothing.

I play For Honor, enjoy it, and I even pre-ordered it for full price about 4 hours before it came out to get paints and shit, having already played the beta and enjoyed that.

I do the same all the time except I actually watch gameplay and carefully see how it stacks up with what I hear good about it.

The only time I admittedly write off games as most likely shit is today with what seems to be ugly Hollyshit or pretentious shit art house shit in general that puts gameplay and content after everything else, including Twitter retardation. East or West, as long as a game looks intended to be fun and a game through effort and dedication I'll generally back it up by neutrally safely shutting down retardation and exaggerations you can disprove just by watching the damn thing and paying attention to things like customization and how it compares to other things I've given the same treatment.

A ton of 7th gen western games don't look or even play shit from experience and even Japanese games that gen that weren't the best and took all the way until PS3 was still getting some games after PS4 was announced and even after came out.

My secret is pretty public. I have almost every game console released in the US, and between 1 and 200 games for each of them, but I can't bring myself to play anything for long. I seem to abandon every game around the 25%-50% mark.

I used to be a really big fan of stalker and mount & blade, and a huge PC gamer in general. Since I got a job years ago, I've gotten more and more into consoles and have been a lot happier.

The secret is now I shitpost rabidly at people who identify in pretty much the above 3 groups. I'm so good at it because I know those games so closely having spent so much time on them myself, I know the in's and outs of the games, the good and the bad. I can tell I get really under peoples skin when I do it, usually derailing entire threads and poisoning OPs for months to come as they mention something or attempt to identify me in passing. I can tell I've done something to these people because there's a handful of others I've seen echo a few things I've said in the past (whether or not they heard it from me or came to their own conclusions, I don't know) but they're often falsely identified as me. A common gripe the defenders of these games have is that the person they think is me is ID hopping or something.

Truth is I don't really talk about games I haven't played as if I had played them. I try to identify patterns in behaviors, in games, in design, etc. I think I'm really good at that as I've spent a very long time doing it, even providing some consultancy work for some developers, technical advising, etc. I might criticize these games and things heavily, they are things I do still care about and wish one day they can be reclaimed in a sense. Reclaim stalker from death, mount & blade from frankly lazy lead developers, and PC gaming from reddit and Valve. I don't know if that'll ever happen but I've made my own way doing my own thing with consoles for now.
