Didn't buy an ouya but the consensus on Holla Forums when it was first kickstarted was that it would be good as a portable emulation machine. I never paid attention to any of the ouya stuff but when I saw crowbcat's video and saw the batshit insane female CEO or founder of the thing I just about had an aneurysm. When I was in high school I had a friend who had a mom exactly like her. Fucking out-of-her-mind woman who started up failing business after failing business.
Say what you want about someone like Gabe Newell but at least he knows what the fuck a video game is. Why would you buy a "console" whose founder literally thinks that dumping a bunch of shovelware onto it is a good idea? I think at some point in an interview she said quantity was better than quality.

Don't forget that time when a bunch of Holla Forumsirgins bought up a bunch of "brand new" PS Vitas off of a scam ebay page for $50 a pop or something like that. Or posting screenshots of how much money they threw at Anita Sarkeesian's kickstarter to piss people off.

I'm blaming incompetence rather than outright malice in this case, because the things actually existed and some even got shipped, at the time I did the preorder there were videos of the design showing what it could do and it looked like a neat little handheld computer. Not like the modern kickstarter fad with a bunch of empty words, and bugger-all else. Still, their fuck-up was inexcusable and at least served as a warning to me.
