also make sure you save your settings to the Microsoft(tm) cloud, it should do this automatically though when you connect your live account (which you should have done on install)

Not sure. The thing doesn't have shields but has 22440 hull hit points and no components. I don't think anything that does damage to the internals will be very effective. The lightning turret we were using does reduced damage to shields but potentially shuts down systems. Was pretty effective against the guardians before it because it stopped the thing from returning fire but I don't think it does anything like increased damage to hull.
Scary as fuck though. It's like a space blender.

You don't have to be cap in your own server. It's just that the match doesn't start until there is a cap so you have to wait on someone to come in and take captain

You'll always find the latest version of the game when a thread comes up, but the devs seem like pretty good guys. They update their game frequently enough and I've gotten a lot of time out of it. If you buy it, get it from their website because you'll get a Steam key as well as three DRM-free download links for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.

The burn Jita events combined with Hulkmageddon was more of a subtle way to damage Goonswarm's competitors, mainly cause the trade disruption to Jita damaged the economy of a few alliances and Hulkmageddon targetted mainly Gallante Ice Fields which again, were harvested by Goonswarm's competitors.

You have to restart the game, it means you're not connected to the main server. Its a pirated copy so its weird sometimes.

Too be clear, it's not a pirated copy, it's a DRM free copy. I payed real shekels for infinite access to it.
For anyone interested in being a good goy like me, be sure to get the Humble Bundle version and not the Steam version, since it gives you a valid Steam code along with direct downloads from Humble.
