The game in it's current iteration is a fucking dumpster fire. Every gun has a massive fucking aimcone, you can't fight clans anymore because bleeding was effectively fucking removed, primal weapons were nerfed, building severely outpaces raiding, etc.

-flatten the power disparity between early game gear and late game, it doesn't have to make sense but it makes starting on non-fresh-wipe server easier (people will still want the late game shit), lowers incentive to dog-pile fresh wipe servers to get front seats on the bus
-give faggots the "progression" (like a few days of playing to get full geared) to give them a reason beyond pure pvp to stick to a single server so the pop doesn't die in a single day
-add power drills for riskier, slower, budget raiding, loud and easier to counter-raid/defend against, more raiding, more pvp, win win
-provide server enforced solo, duo, and clan size X official servers, teams being powerful is fine, but it sucks shit for those who don't wanna zerg with 10+ dudes
-hire a guy or guys whose job is literally nothing but anti-cheat, full-time, and ban fucking AHK scripts, rust has made loadsa money and they can afford it
-cap max ping on official servers to do soft region-locking, partly cause the game can't handle high-ping, and partly because most of ching-chong-land hack like motherfuckers

Remember the S. Korean clan I was with lamented the switch to XP. I didn't believe it was that bad of an implementation but tried it out for a day and was done with the game for good. Keep in mind I had about 5k hours in at that point.
Still sad to think about how if they just would've left the blueprint system as it was, added some map diversity, added mounts and changed combat dynamics, the game would still be in its glory days. Oh well.
