Fullderp is a game where one of us declares himself the champ and takes a ragtag team of six Pokemon assembled by anons into an online competitive Pokemon battling simulator!

When the current champ calls "new champ", the first poster to claim it is our champ. The first six legal Pokemon suggested once champ has been claimed or "new team" has been called will be the team our champ uses to battle. Suggesters are not to make multiple suggestions for a team unless 15 minutes have passed since their last request, or if the champ specifically asks for re-requests. The champ will be battling in OU unless he specifies otherwise.

I'll go ahead and give you the option to change from Calm to Modest as well. It's not as interesting since you wont stack buffs or defenses, but it will help put a dent in the chance of getting walled out. Try to avoid sending it out before muh steel types are dealt with, since you'll have all those fire moves to clear them out. Definitely.

Some of you may be aware of a strategy going around that can force battles to continue indefinitely. This involves using Leppa Berry with Heal Pulse, Recycle, a healing move (such as Slack Off or Soft-Boiled) and Block/Mean Look/Spider Web. Fortunately only Slowpoke, Slowbro, Slowking, Blissey and Smeargle are legally able to use this combination (Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir and Gallade as well if you count Wish). To use the strategy, one of these will switch into a defensive Pokemon, or one unable to 2hko them, use Block and then PP stall the opponent with recovery and Leppa Berry + Recycle. Once the opponent begins to Struggle, the user can simply continue to Heal Pulse, with Leppa Berry + Recycle, until the opponent forfeits. An example can be seen here.
We've agreed that this strategy is not within the spirit of the game and have therefore decided to implement the "Endless Battle Clause".

Instead of making the entire combination banned, why not just ban the combination of Leppa Berry and Recycle for the simple reason that "it creates a situation where your Pokemon almost never runs out of PP while your opponent does" while including that it generates infinite loops? Makes it easier to plug it in the clause rather than add in all of the variables.

Because as much as we like to joke that "PP stall is a legitimate tactic", PP stall is a legitimate tactic.
Smogon tries not to ban any sort of tactic from taking place and PP stall has actually been a competitive strategy since gen 1, albeit not to the extent that we use it.

So, it's possible to trigger an endless loop with spite,trick, and pickup on megafug. But 'we' lose the game because we started with the leppa berry.
If someone can think of a way around this, we have a way to instantly win the game by capturing a single mon.

The framework for it is:
A Pokémon is considered cornered if: - it has no available moves other than Struggle - OR a stale Pokémon used Assist Whirlwind on it - OR it has been hit by a Struggle from a stale Pokémon on the turn it switched in (at the beginning of a turn, if you have available moves other than Struggle, you are no longer cornered)
A Pokémon is considered stale if: - it has gained a Leppa berry through any means besides starting with one (including but not limited to Harvest, Recycle, Pickup, Symbiosis, Bestow, Thief, Switcheroo, and Magician) - OR it has been targeted with Fling Leppa Berry - OR it is cornered and begins a turn with more HP than it the last turn it began - OR it is cornered and begins a turn with as much HP as the last turn it began, and was not fully paralyzed, loafing around from Truant, or immobilized from Attract - OR it uses Transform/Imposter against a stale Pokémon (a Pokémon that becomes stale stays stale for the rest of the match)
If all active Pokémon are stale, the player whose team originally started with a Leppa Berry loses. If both or neither team started with a Leppa Berry, the team that had the first stale Pokémon wins.
It might have tweaked it up a bit since last posted this, but you have to think of away around this, if it's at all possible
