The entire idea of imageboards is being allowed to do and say what you like without people making up their minds about you based on your post history like a forum.
You plaster your "name" over every post to the point that every user on the board knows who you are, and it pisses people off.
You also try to have ongoing relationships with others, i.e. Blissposter, which, again, goes against the spirit of imageboards as you're not meant to be identifiable.
