If they adopt the same way that DLC was done in PD2 I probably won't mind, honestly.
DLC in PD2 is under 2 euro a piece on sale, and it goes on sale whenever a major event happens like a new DLC release or milestone update, and most of it is pretty worthless anyway.

Grenades are free if you join the Payday 2 steam group, and very few of the DLC weapons are above standard. The only DLC you really need in the game is the Gage mod pack, that can seriously improve certain guns.
The typical cycle is that they release some OP gun and nerf it a week later.
