The real problem is that it's not realism, it's a tiny sliver of realism mixed in with the unrealistic norm. Realistically, if there was something wrong with your weapon, you'd know it from handling it, looking at it, hearing the sound it makes, whatever. Instead, like said, it's an invisible number right up until your weapon suddenly falls apart in the middle of a fight. Not to mention the absurdity of a weapon that falls apart after 5 minutes of fighting in a world full of random encounters.

No. PCSX2 is kind of fucked from the ground up and jury's still out if the devs will ever be able to unfuck it.

I've played AC and MH 1 and dos just fine.
There is some sound glitches that's it.
That's including using graphic plugins to push resolution and AA.

Some games work fine, but it's nowhere close to Dolphin, which just recently is able to boot up every single title released on the Gamecube and Wii.

With PCSX2 it's easy to notice with games that are especially hacky with the hardware, like Sly Cooper or Ratchet and Clank, or used some of the more "obscure" features, like mipmapping in Ace Combat games.

It works "well enough", but considering how long it has been in development it's not really that impressive, and it all goes back to the way emulators used to be programmed back then and the over-reliance on plugins.

Going to the other extreme isn't any better. Real swords(at least ones that were made for fighting and decoration) didn't break that easily IRL. The one in this video is made out of bronze, not even iron or any kind of steel, and it doesn't break as easily as the ones in BotW.

As much as I like emulation it tends to be spotty and usually advocate people buy the actual hardware and mod it to read from an external HD or to play burned games. Most cart based systems have flash carts and things like the Dreamcast can natively play burned games.

Emulation is only really good if you wanna take the titles on the go, and even then when you have things like portable GCN the line starts to blur.

Anyone who brigns up graphics as an argument is not worth debating with. You're basing a game's enjoyment off how it looks versus how it plays.

I don't want to spend 20+ hours looking at something that I think is ugly. It has to be appealing.
Mind you, that does not mean the resolution needs to be 4k and the textures hyper realistic.

I would say you're writing off graphics too much, while they should not be the main draw of a game, much like how nice your car looks to how it drives, it's still important. Sure, I can have a really nice looking car and it can run like a shitter, but there's no reason your car that runs amazing shouldn't look the best it possibly could. If I'm playing older games I'm lenient as to the era they were in, but you are right in the end that gameplay matters.

Emulators have more graphical glitches than standard hardware for most things. Not to mention sound issues, framerate (mostly on niche games sometimes major titles).

Doesn't matter how nice it looks, if it still plays like ass, it's just ass with a nice coat of paint.

I write off graphics a lot because at the end of the day I'm worried more about how the game functions over how it looks. I do take an issue with games that try to be "Retro" and end up looking somehow worse than a commodore64 while not adhering to any graphical constraints that older systems had to work around.

And that fucking hammer broke after 2 hours. If you're gonna implement a weapon degradation system at least implement a smithing or re-forging feature to fix your shit, or at least give me the option to fight with my fucking fists.

This. Dark Cloud did it well and even had a fucking repair mechanic and my weapons actually lasted a decent amount of time and one could even improve them.

Navi is a loser fairy who is given to a loser boy. She has never been in a position to talk down to anyone. Midna however was queen of the twilight realm, being in a position of weakness is new to her and she has no idea how to get people to do things without force.
