Yooka-Laylee but at the same time I'm worried about it because I don't back Kickstarter games usually but I really liked Rare's 3D platformers. They havens really given me a reason to think they will fuck it up yet though.

It's not that I've lost faith in the industry, anything is possible and there is always hope. But so far nothing is interesting me, not a big deal though I keep finding new ways to play old games and have a few I haven't even started yet.

I am however incredibly optimistic about my imagined/hopeful games. Sequels to some of my most favorites that may or may not be likely, even less of a likelihood of being good. Still, somehow my imagination coupled with my optimism is enough to keep me going.

I've only played Nier, and am about to start drakengard 1 and replay Nier before it comes out.
Nier is great, but not for everyone. Personally my favorite parts would be the soundtrack and the bullet hell-ish elements they put in there.

NIER definitely is. It's pretty average gameplay-wise but there's plenty to make up for that. Haven't yet played Drakengard 1 or 2 due to not owning a PS2, but have 100% 3, even then I don't really recommend it.

Gameplay teeters between average and poor(There's a lot of running, side quests are bad, the combat is largely uninteresting, even with a couple cool spells to use), visuals are pretty dull, dungeons are kind of cool, story's good, as is the soundtrack. Play through it if you want, but it's not necessary.

Protagonist aside, the character designs just aren't as inspired as the ones in Skullgirls. I can tell LZ are serious about it, and it's good they had an alpha for the kickstarter, but I'm not sure it'll catch on the same way.
