I recently picked this title up because I was going through a vidya dry spell. I just beat Last Guardian, and despite the numerous negative comments here, I really enjoyed it. So I figured I give DAI a try. Maybe Holla Forums was wrong. Maybe it's not as bad as they say.

In DA:O you could tell them to fuck off at any time, even Morrigan, who is more integral to the plot than the rest. The unfortunate truth of the matter is that the whole of Holla Forums is living in the past and the present. They may know where they came from and where they currently are, the things that have been forgotten by the world, and the things that matter, but they've all been blinded by that knowledge.

That's not to say that what Holla Forums knows and knowing what's going to happen next are mutually exclusive. Even you could handle that, provided you had the time to take in all the variables. It's just that the people who find themselves drawn to that board can't seem to let go of how things should be long enough to think about how things actually are. I too started Cisquisition a little while ago to see if it was really that bad. I don't think I'm going to finish it. I need to raise at least four levels to meet the lower end of the recommended level for the next mission and that means hours of boring side quests and grinding. All I can think while I'm playing it is how much I enjoyed Origins and how I'd rather be playing that instead.

I pirated a copy a while ago just to laugh at the story but gave up past character creation and just watched the rest of it on the internet. the silliest thing about the game's story isn't really the cringy dialogue, it's the massive fucking holes in logic that permeate the entire narrative that astound me.

Like the ball you go to. You solve the problem there, not by gathering up evidence to support your claims and prove the party in question guilty, she just ambushes you outside and then you go up to her and go

With zero evidence, and this is treated with all the splendor and grandeur of a stunning reveal that causes shocked whispers to spread through the crowd of stunned onlookers. And then she gets arrested, with no trial or anything.

The worst part was definitely the villain, because he was introduced so well but then they didn't do anything with him. They didn't even attack Skyhold. Also they introduced him to the player with a proper bad ass intro but they had ALREADY SHOWN HIM, just sitting around.
