After playing the game with the standard pro-grip and with the joycons stuck to the tablet, I can't see any real need to buy a pro-controller for this game in particular. The controls aren't so complicated and if anything the funny "button" d-pad actually works better than the analog stick cause it's less sensitive

I kinda like the cheesy voice acting and animation of the game, it give it a so bad it's good quality to it.

Forgot to say. Why pay $50 when I can emulate all the bomberman games from NES, SNES, N64, and arcade on my old laptoaster and take it with me on the go to play with other people? Not to mention I'd have to spend hundreds of dollars for $witch as well.
Doesn't feel worth it just to get shiny "HD" graphics and shit tier voice acting that isn't good even in a "so bad it's good" style.
The all female bombergirl game announced for JP arcades seems much better in comparison than this.

In the DS game there's bad collectibles like "diarrhea" which makes you lay bombs constantly and "constipation" which makes you unable to lay bombs.

If you don't have a working Sega Saturn, it would cost you almost 300 dollars nowadays just to be able to play Saturn bomberman with ten people (assuming you even know ten people, you NEET). You could emulate the Saturn one though, but then you might be paying up to 150 in controllers, multitaps and adapters.

Because it's the latest bomberman adventure and it's 8 player online with league and casual mode in addition to eight player couch multiplayer (if you know enough people with joycons). And there's nothing to say you can't emulate all the bombermans and play the latest one too. If you're actually going through the trouble of downloading and playing ALL the bombermans like that, then chances are you're a bomberman fanatic who doesn't really have much excuse to not play this one as well other than just being too poor or tightfisted to buy it yet.

I understand that Holla Forums has a complex about spending a single dollar on absolutely anything and if you buy anything you're automatically labeled a shill or a good goy, but you're an idiot if you can't find any reason for average bomberman fans to buy this game because the bomberman fandom is pretty much like the Mario and Zelda fandom: willing to pay retail prices for the earliest access to the latest entries in the franchise that play more or less according to the same classic formula with only minor new tweaks/gimmicks and a new story mode.

One thing game developers lost sight of was the value of simplicity and immersion. It's also the reason mobile gaming took people off guard cause people were expecting that gamers wanted more complexity.

No, they have a store, but you buy stuff there with the gold you earn in game.

The games difficulty can be a bitch because you can only continue after losing all your lives if you have the gold to do so and you can only earn gold by beating a world (which is about 8 stages with a boss fight). So if you have 200 gold pieces and you made it to the boss of the world with one life left, then you die, without 100 more gold, you'll have to start over from the very beginning of that world.
