Depending on the scope of the game (more variables the player can choose), there would have to be certain permutations which the developers and creators simply did not think of. Should games no longer allow player choice beyond an incredibly small amount of variables, so that only the few intended ways to play the game are allowed? Or perhaps no choice whatsoever, so that it's narrowed down to only the one way the game was intended to play?
Also, what about any game which gives access to a dev console? Developer consoles are bundled with the game itself, and thus can be considered part of the "core game". Dev consoles allow the player to make changes that the creator may not have forseen, or create new scenarios within the engine. As above, should dev consoles no longer be allowed?
