Ending E is basically Touhou with the ending credits, and is basically impossible to do alone. After a certain amount of deaths (which the game handles in a really cool way, each time you die there's flavor text from players that left a message and the devs themselves) you'll be asked if you want to accept another players help, and then manifestations of differerent player's sacrificed save data will appear and help you and make you invincible.

Once you reach the end, you're given the option to leave a message - and the question of whether you'd sacrifice your save data for the sake of helping another player.

Autochips are not more effective, in the late-game I was able to completely shit on all enemies and started getting frame-perfect dodging down. The gameplay is fairly easy to get down and I started getting risky with A2 and putting her into berserk mode for entire fights, spamming heals to maintain it

I bought Nier Automata on PS4. It is a piece of shit nongame. I've spent 7 hours doing fetchquests and autistically picking up random items that respawn in the same places over and over. With a tutorial section that has difficulty options that make it stupidly difficult to complete because there are no saves and you can later change the difficulty at any time you choose when you can actually save. I bought the PS4 version because it looked like the PC version was delayed indefinitely, but now it's coming out just 2 weeks after the original date they buried. The game runs at sub 60fps lots of the time and it looks like Quake 3 after the tutorial.

The worst part about this is
I will buy it twice

Square Enix's delay strategy will have worked and goys like me double dipped. The game is a piece of shit but lovable because it knows what it is. I want to play more just to fly around as 2B. The PS4 double dip cost me nothing because it was in an old PSN account with funds, attached to an email account that had since deactivated because of no activity. I lost nothing really and it means risking less on a game I would've had to buy to find out anyway because PC will have Denuvo. Maybe in the end I did something good by giving more money to Yoko Taro. Plus maybe 144hz and 1080p but I doubt that when they recommend a fucking 980 for system requirements. You can get chain hit in this game. Dodging does not mean immune to damage if you roll into another attack, there is no witch time. Starting on hard, 3 or 2 at points can be death. You need to be standing still aka not being hit to use healing items.

Why the fuck would I waste my time making this up. You take way more damage that you did during the demo. You'll also notice you start at a higher level in the demo than you will be at the point of the full game.

Beat it today I can say that the combat feels satisfying and there is a fuck ton of customization to your play style with the Plug-in chips. 9S is a little too simple and gets boring quickly compared to 2B and A2, but he's great for set ups.
Soundtrack is pretty much a continuation from NieR in terms of quality, I still like the original OST more but if NieR is in first place then Automata is in second, it's really good.
There are some cases of stupid shit in the subs, for some reason they decided to make 2B more sarcastic in some scenes, you can see this in the demo where in the Japanese version she says something close to "No way" while in the english version she says "Oh, That's great", it happens a few times and it's somewhat annoying because her character is constantly trying to shut away every single emotion for reasons of her own, but that's it really, it's nowhere near as bad as Drakengard 3.

A2 is best girl and did nothing wrong.

VU cycle stealing set to 1, and I always have it set up so I can hit tab to turn on 1-1 frameskip if things slow down but it runs at 100% anyway.

One day, a giant magic salt creature (and a pyschopath riding a dragon) appears over Tokyo. The dragon defeats the creature, but it explodes, raining magic fallout over the planet. This causes a demonic zombie plague that destroys civilization . Mankind studies the remains of the creature and dragon, reverse engineers magic from it and uses it to save humanity. The big plan is to use techno magic to separate everyone's soul, then transfer them into new plague immune clone bodies. Rather than immediately doing the transfer, someone has the stupid idea to give the clones temp personalities and (with the help of android caretakers) use them to wipe out the plague zombies first since the clone bodies could be replaced *almost* indefinitely while the human souls are irreplaceable and are now mostly safe while they're floating around all body-less.

This process takes so long and goes through so many generations of clones that the clones eventually develop real personalities, and the robots kind of lose track of how to start the combining process. Things stay like this for centuries, until the disembodied souls start falling apart/going crazy and the clones have all been copied and recopied so often that their original patterns are starting to break down and new copies are coming out damaged.

This is where Nier's plot happens. The protag winds up fucking up the only thing that might have fixed this mess and the game ends with humanity and the clones doomed to both die out, presumably leaving only the androids and robots left to do what ever the fuck they're doing in Automata.

Don't buy twice. I'd get the PS4 version, and also pirate the PC version. If my PC doesn't run it well enough, oh well, I can already play it on PS4. You need to meet the min RAM requirement (I think its 4GB). Otherwise you might have to page out to the hard drive which will cripple the game. Looks like any decent CPU will work. You sometimes can get away with below min spec for graphics cards.
