your thoughts on this game ?

I feel like either you made that video or you're just posting it because it's kind of mediocre, but, yeah, Sonic Mania looks pretty tight. I'm kind of a /vr/ fag so I'm really looking forward to it; I'll probably buy it on release. I normally pirate but hell I wanna support Christian Whitehead.

Godlike soundtrack

Is it out yet? If not, why isn't it out yet

...

I'm not getting my hopes up until I get a chance to play it.

1/10 it's to difficult!
- IGN

lmao

...

Why the fuck do they have somebody playing it who has obviously never touched a Sonic game before?

Why the fuck do they let any of their journalists play games they've got no experience with?

The answer is because none of them have experience. They're all hipster retards who never actually played games.

Holy shit that is pathetic.

...

What returning stages do you hope to see? Fingers crossed for Lava Reef.

Ice Cap Zone.

Casino Night Zone

Holy shit. Why the fuck are game "journalists" are so incompetent at playing vidya?

Quartz Quadrant

It's looking pretty fucking nice. The animations we've seen so far and the soundtrack both had me sold a while ago I'm gonna buy that limited edition thing even

I wish IGN's buildings would go up in flames. I'm so goddamned tired of these "gaming jounalists" who make normal everyday casuals look like seasoned veterans by comparison. They're even worse than the standard casual.

Mystic Cave Zone. Not one of the better levels in terms of design, but I can't get over the groovy-ass stage track

I hope it's as good as Sonic 4.

This. Sanic Phour episode 2 had some cool level aesthetics. If they reuse them with proper level design it would be sweet.
Kinda like what Sonic Generations did with Crisis City.

I can`t express enough how cringy it feels to see an adult using the joy con. That shit is so tiny it feels like he`s gonna split it in half at any second.

but will it have anything like space queens?

What if they actually include a few retro-ized versions of newer stages? City Escape or Metal Harbor would be amazing, maybe even Emerald Coast. There's also Mystic Mansion which had a kick-ass song. Maybe they'll even surprise us and throw a Sonic R stage or something at us.

But in all honesty, I'd just love to see something like Star Light or a bunch more Sonic 1 stages return. Damn underrated game and I'd love to see them breathe life into some of the more awkward-to-play stages. I honestly really like Labyrinth zone, and Spring Yard is really fun aside from the elevator shit; but Star Light and Green Hill are my favorites. Green Hill is already in obviously, which I'm happy about, and I don't really see why it wouldn't've gotten in either.

Now Flying Battery; that'd be fucking rad. Stardust Speedway too, even. Some Sonic CD love would be great. Hell, even a Sonic Advance stage to surprise us would be way past cool. But again I'm more than okay with them just sticking to Genesis stages, as there are plenty of amazing choices and tbh I'm really excited to see how they handle them.

They said that Green Hill Zone is the most normal of the "returning" stages, and that there are some rather mindblowing ones. I'm really excited to see what they meant by that, and they also said that the game was "huge" so it means we'll be getting a lot of content. God this shit is gonna be good.

It blew my fucking mind that Tee Lopes was composing this game. I`ve been keeping up with his shit for years.
His re-imagined Sanic tracks are hands down the best on youtube

I don't think I'd want to see reimagined stages, but in a sense I'd appreciate sort throw back style moments. Little details that allude to things from other games but not so much in a recycled fashion.

I don't know if you know what I mean.

Like Star Light Zone borrowing an area or moment from Speed Highway on an optional route or something? That'd be pretty cool actually, yeah. I get you.

Yeah, even just something in the background as a bit of a flavorful sighting. A side route that shows you something cool, whatever. I want new everything in an updated classic package. In a sense. Tributes to the classics are always welcome.

But we're not getting new everything. We're getting a bunch of new stages, but we're mostly getting new remade stages rather than actual new ones. And to be honest I'm actually excited to have both. I unno I just like the idea of the old stages being redone n shit; it seems fun to be able to revisit my favorite ones but redone with a new spark to them.

Unless you're saying you want the classic stages brought back with a fresh new package or somethin'.

fair enough. I thought it would be entirely new levels, I was avoiding information about the game since it was announced.

...

...

Cyan City
Palmtree Panic
Moon Mansion
Emerald Coast
Horizon Heights
Grand Metropolis
Titanic Tower
Hidden Palace

I hope they do exactly that, especially with Emerald Coast.

Then again I'm actually delusional enough too want stages from Before and After the Sequel.

Opinions on the Sonic Riders games? How good is Dr. Robotnik in them?

Only ever played the first one on PS2 but it's fun. Dr. Robotnik is a heavy character that can punch through walls.

I hate sonic
But I'm not gonna lie it looks like fun

I wouldn't say it's godlike, but it's definitely true to the spirit of the series. I also never expected a tGtB&tU's theme used as the intro.
