Oh cool, the combat seems a bit deeper than I expected. Individually each weapon is somewhat simple (though they all have some simple combos) but since you have 2 at any given time, you swap between them to make your own combos. For example, if you attack with your other weapon when you throw a weapon out into the air, that weapon that was thrown can continue being combo'd with. Then you've got different weapon types, your pod, dodging and dodge attacks, etc. It's very nice.

It's a textbook localization, in that it seems to only change things to either make more sense in English (aka, the whole ma'am/san thing) or substitute a common Japanese expression that could be translated literally into the equivalent English expression. Personally, I think they did a fine job.

The free demo on the NiohBorneBox also probably gave it a massive amount of good publicity with normalfags. I think 8-4 might be one of those localizers that only fucks with shit when they think they can get away with it. With all the good publicity Automata has gotten, and the fact that it's probably dual audio so people can find errors and censorship really easily, I think 8-4 might be playing it safe.
