Really good advertising. It doesn't matter what the game plays like the shorts they make are like Violent Disney movies.

You forget that it also took up a niche market that currently has no serious competition.
I mean, Diablo III had to go against Torchlight II, Path of Exile, Titan Quest and a bunch of other smaller titles. Each one of those had a little something diferent to please diferent folks, so the playerbase for that particular market got scattered all over.
Overwatch has competition from:
dead on arrival
f2p with cashop that gouges your eyes out and is still a beta
Not out yet, pretty smart from them.
Gone on for so long everyone and their grandma already played it to death.
Also, last 3 "updates" killed a large chunk of the playerbase.

It doesn't matter how good something is, it matters how good it stacks up against it's competition. Overwatch does fairly well by virtue of everything being shit.
It was a fun game once. WAS. Now it's fucked 7 days till sunday. And after the Dota Crowd latched onto it, not even pub stomping is fun anymore.

To be honest, a resource for the hook is kinda hard to implement considering it's a one-shot (lol) ability.
You'd be able to have a single hook ready and the regen for that resource would be indistinguishable from a cooldown.

A better idea would be a resource that depletes once the hook hits and starts pulling the person, not instantaneously but still quite fast.
You'd be able to let the hook go off to preserve some of it, pull him right near you, etc. It would make Geni\Tracer so fucking mad…

Could just make it so that there's a higher penalty to missing with the hook, aka longer cool down (20 sec) if you miss compared to if you hit (10 sec).

I know school just got out, but you guys know this is an 18+ board and not reddit, right? Also unlike reddit we don't have downvotes and that sage does not work as a downvote as all it does is prevent the thread from being bumped by your post, which doesn't matter when someone will bump it after you post regardless.

You can bet and you can lose, considering a lot of famous youtubers aka the gay community switched from one to the other and dragged along a lot of players.

A lot of people actually played TF2 and enjoyed it for what it was while it lasted.
But you can only play Soldier Fortress 2 for so long before you start wanting to play some other classes without feeling downgraded…

Just give his hook 100% more downtime and he´s fixed.
