Christopher Robin

Are you prepared for some live action Disney kino? They're trying to pull off another Hook here and not the Pan movie that WB did in 2015.

God damnit, this feels like a catch 22 for me. If it's bad then it's another childhood memory defiled, but if it's good then I have to deal with the feels that come from an adult Christopher Robin movie.
Oh bother…

Pooh was always one of my favorites.

why would Pooh be out of the woods?

gotta shit sometime

...

pooh looks unatural….

...

Well jeeze user, you almost say that like a stuffed animal walking and talking and moving about could look natural.

This is the most genius fucking edit I've ever seen of that comic, no fooling.

Why did it start out with the guy having to fire people because the company he works for is cartoonishly evil?
Also is this set in a shortly before WWII ?

Movie poster sounds like a threat (pic related) or something put on a B horror movie.

You are not of jokings user, seriously did they intentionally pick the most fucking cryptic and ominous line they could come up with?

The bear is going to murder him.
This will be a combination of chucky and the grizzly man.

Honestly I thought The Jungle Book, and The BFG were done pretty well. So this may actually turn out to be something decent.

Does Mark Gatis have to be in every depiction of historic England now?

Jungle Book surprised me. It was at worst, inoffensive. Actually felt like a pretty faithful remake. It's weird that they changed the ending though. I think they wanted a sequel hook.

As far as changes go, him staying in the jungle with Bagheera and Baloo was actually pretty comfy.

but where's my indian loli

this could be some really successful emotional manipulation, I might even fall for it

I love winnie the pooh

Hold out for a sequel.

Enough for a sequel hook.

There is potentially something insidious about them changing the ending of Mogli growing up and joining his people, to Mogli staying in the jungle, but apparently that's closer to how the book went, so I don't know.

So a mild failure rather than a disastrous failure

Christopher Robin Milne grew to hate the stories and considered them an exploitation of his childhood. He was tortured mercilessly in school for his father’s stories and poems and he became immeasurably bitter. His mother hated him and he only reconciled with his father on the latter’s death bed. He also hated that Winnie the Pooh had been (((commercialized))) and wanted no part of the royalties for it.

This is in a twisted way like resurrecting the dead and forcing them to do that which they most hated in life, like some kind of necromantic damnation, making the agony of Milne’s life into a 90 minute tale of getting in touch with your forgotten childhood. It’s very appropriate for Disney.

Wait he got a lot of shit because of Winnie the Pooh? Why?

Twelve year olds have the maturity of 2004 Holla Forums. It was brutal.

I-I don't get it
subpar IQ here

Wasn't the actual Christopher Robin bullied for being in the Pooh books?

They changed the ending because the original wasn't progressive enough. In the original, mowgli realizes he isn't an animal, and doesn't belong in the jungle, so he goes to live with the humans where he belongs. In the remake it doesn't matter that he isn't really a wolf, in fact he's a better wolf than the real wolves because of it, like immigrants and trannies.

That sounds like a message that could be misinterpreted very easily by SJW. Good thing they only write articles and do internet crusades when told to.

There's definitely that. But they've also spoken about how they'd like to tackle Mowgli joining the human village if they do a sequel. Apparently a lot more happens there in the book than the short scene we got at the end of the original film.

Poor boy.

Jungle Book was kinda of a mixed bag. The first 2/3 were good, but the last act is super rushed and filled with cheap conveniences. Also the last fight had zero tension.

What a fucked up family

Was this kid groomed for the Rothschilds or something? This is getting spooky.

...

I wonder if Christopher Robin knows there's shota porn of him

Disney already did this with Tarzan lol

testing

fuck this shit

bitch

...

it's supposed to look like the original bear

it's supposed to look like the original bear

...

This is going to be like the bear from A.I. isn't it?

...

What the hell is that supposed to imply?

Disney's promise to leave no opportunity for nostalgia farming unturned.

Those are relevant to my interest

you want Mum to be your Maisie?

Well just fuck my childhood up

JUST

When the honey hits hard.

he's eating honey

This is proof that at a fundamental level Human suffering doesn’t matter to people unless they hear from social authority fogures that it should matter to them.

I mean, I don't actually care that much. Then again, I don't pretend to care about African children either.

I really hope they dont fuck it up
But who im fooling, they gonna fuck it up

ummmm, why isn't he a black Muslim woman??

...

I'm serious, you're aware its 2018 right?

I'm also serious. dude that was really funny thanks for posting it lol

...

Is Disney going too far with the cross marketing?

Money?

In the thumbnail Ewan looked like Christopher Nolan with a hat on

sometimes I feel like the only person who unorincally dieslikes, almost hates Disney movies of all kinds. Even The Lion King, which I saw in theaters, was overall too annyoing to enjoy. And not like I'm a rebellious teen who wants to seem cool. No, that was Backstreet Boys, which I now will fully admit to loving. No, Disney is just fucking annoying shit to me. And I always feel like I'm alone in this.

I wish you were dead like Aniki

No. I want Maisie to be the Mum of my kids. But on a serious note, she looks very nice mirrored, I like both the slim and the wide version.

Isn't this just Paddington or whatever the fuck it was called rip-off?

I thought Robin would be a baseball pitcher? Wished the baseball game was cannon.

Fucking hell, Ted 3 looks like a drama.
