I liked pretty much all aliens, they were all very distinct from one another.

the game has a great story and I love so much of it but the space battles and moon rover segments are so arcadey and weird that it's a nightmare to play.
Now how cool if they did this same style of game in the vein of Freespace, keeping the humour and epic scale of the galaxy

You know a lot of people talk about how intimidating the Ur Quan races are, or the Orz fuckery but I rarely see these guys mentioned and they really creep me the fuck out
They reduced themselves to the appearance of chewed up bubblegum, have complete mastery over genetic technology to such an extent even the resident geniuses the Arilou have to defer to their abilities, cruise around in tumor ships that behave in a fashion no other does and have a child like mentality where they can be jokey and happy one moment then pulverize you the next because it makes sense in their fucked up minds, and the entire time they talk to you with a weird gaspy voice this fucked up tune is playing.
Still a really fun setting, I almost wishit would have gotten an RPG style game in style of golden age Bioware just to see this fucked up universe in action.
