The Flu took place during a period in time when the Restoration school of magic and its associated spells were essentially just starting to come into play, alchemy was far less developed, and this knowledge was not spread wide enough for it to have any effect, especially for the common peasants in butt-fuck nowhere.

Honestly of all of the SJW things you could have picked, you chose nitpicks… Here is a more solid case: the game tries the best to guilt trip you for siding with Ulfric Stormcloak for wanting to liberate Skyrim by making him a evil racist that oppresses elves and non-Nords, and setting him up as controlled opposition for the greater evil in the setting, the Thalmor. Because if they didn't do any of these things than players would have sided mostly with the Stormcloaks than the Empire.

A good portion of Tamriel can be visited. Mainland Morrowind included. Vvardenfell was closed off. Credit where it's due, they did a good job recreating the landscape + landmarks that were in the TES games where it made sense. Anvil for example has all the buildings you remember in the exact same locations as they were in TES4. But they also fucked up the provinces that hadn't been featured by making them boring and generic, such as Black Marsh with Argonians being caricatures of Aztecs every fucking line they speak.

Its just that the game is so fucking boring, it was made for people who dont give a shit about anything but running around and grinding, trading, or other bullshit that is so common within mmorpgs. There is no motivation to actually play the game, and you find yourself often physically tired and exhausted just by doing the same fucking thing over and over again. The storyline is fucking atrocious, and has you focusing on yet another fucking daedric nigger trying to absorb nirn. I initially got into the game thinking that there was gonna be a faction centric storyline in which youd grow loyal towards certain factions based on personal similarities with the ideals, come to find out every faction is the fucking same and you might as well just focus on maxing characters through a long and frankly tedious grind.
If all of that wasnt enough, there is not even race loyalty. Every respectable Nord player has atleast one Dunmer alt, which entirely saddens me. Why the fuck would you ever at any point choose the race that cultivates mushrooms and two legged, oversized, retarded frog horses. All Elves are fucking awful, but the Dark Elves are absolutely downright disgusting with their pretentious, cowardly dispositions

No, they assassinate targets within the bounds of House Wars and sanctioned guidelines (and occasionally for Mephala). And generally making a scene is frowned upon, so it's much more likely that they'd slip poison in his drink or just slash his throat in an alley. The writ is just a backup in case there's no alternative and they have to kill someone in a public place. The whole point of the Morag Tong is to prevent violent and bloody feuds between Houses, showing up in plate male and stabbing some poor fucker to death doesn't really accomplish that.
You could do it in Morrowind, generaly the point is that a third party does it and thats what stops the feuds from happening, there is no telling who placed the order and it got sanctioned by the Tong.

I'm not saying that means didn't exist at all to not get killed off, and I'm not saying the Flu isn't a massive cop-out to lock out areas. What I am saying is that there's a damn good reason it wiped out most of the population.
On the other hand, if you want to speculate, there's the fact that the Flu might have been resistant to disease curing alchemy and magics. In Morrowind, for instance, normal diseases and blight-derived diseases had to be cured differently, and corprus was on another level entirely. The Flu certainly wasn't corprus-tier, but it was speculated to be of magical origin, which would make it a different matter than simply curing the common cold.
It's not really surprising. MMOs mainly live off whales now. Why need thousands of people spending $10 a month for a sub when you can have 100 people paying $1000 a month?

well according to ESO the Flu is not just a normal disease but potentially related to either the Barsaebic Ayleids or some Argonian Tech that predates the Ayleids.
They have these "keystones", i can only assume that this is something related to the "Eye of argonia" since thats also supposed to be a key to a lost city.
In ESOs lore the Argonians are a post apocalyptic society , with their actual culture long dead and only the Hist remembering what it was all about, occasionally telling some important argonian one fragment or another.

I would never have paid for it myself but my brother bought it for me since he knew I liked tes games. I dont know why theyve chosen a Redguard for the Nature based class it kinda doesnt fit, but either way this guy isnt with the tong, the Dunmer Girl is a recurring NPC in the game that has occasionally recruited the PC to do her handywork, you eventually figure out shes with the Tong but she never tells you outright i think.

To be fair it was already diverse by the time Elder Scrolls III even takes place. Tamriel has managed to brook an opening on Vvardenfell, so the Imperial offices and empire at large has made considerable progress in colonizing the island. It's just the Ashlanders, the Camonna Tong, and the Sixth House that really wants to see you and every outlander gone.
As others have stated it's majority Dunmer, but other races are legal members as well. There's at least one Nord, one Argonian, and one Orc. It's the Camonna Tong that is exclusively Dunmer.
It's more like knowing that Bethesda chose the Redguard specifically because it'll get them brownie points with the overly PC crowd instead of having any legitimate reason to include him there.

Get the delayed brotherhood attack and solsheim rumor fix and ACTUALLY PAY ATTENTION to your build. Focus on getting one weapon skill high and then use that weapon.
Oh come on, for one you dont need the delayed brotherhood attack, its just free loot every couple of days that you can sell pretty highly.
I mean "dont suck" should be a no brainer, if hes played any TES game he probably knows to focus on one weapon skill.
Either way the most important piece of advice for any new player: STAMINA IS TIED TO YOUR HIT CHANCE
This killed be a lot when i played this game as a kid, always have full stamina when going into combat.
Also dont go to Wolverine Hall, its a maze and nothing important is there.
TSO is probably the best MMO on the market right now behind FFXIV, which may blow your mind after its shit launch but it developed into a solid game.
Use a spear, its the most fun weapon type and lategame spears exist.
Spears are the only engaging melee weapon type as you have to watch your distance, anything else is just dice rolling.
If you want to go with any non two handed weapon type there is literaly no reason not to use block too.
Get smithing up too because youll need it, enchanting is realy good in this game so dont skip it either.
Generaly magic can do almost anything and makes a lot of other skills like lockpicking and speechcraft virtually obsolete. Walk places, its more fun,
know that in Vivec there are all 3 types of fast travel that dont include propylon chambers, by which i mean Boats, Striders and Mages Guilds, so it makes for a good place to switch fast travel methods.
Carrying divine intervention can be usefull but not if you are in telvanni lands as it will teleport you to wolverine hall which as said before is a complete dogshit place you dont want to be in.

Getting money is way too easy in morrowind anyway if you know where creeper or let alone the mudcrab merchant is.
And almost anything remotley rare is worht a lot, while buying stuff cheap is also very easy, especialy if you buy broken gear and repair it yourself.
