Totally unbelievable story even if you are into scifi/fantasy it killed for me my suspension of disbelief.
Visually speaking the film is thrilling with really nice colour palette and a really well executed steampunk/film noir vibe to it. The characters are very cartoonish to me, yet an other effort privileging style over substance by Guillermo del Toro .
It is still more than watchable though I wouldn't have paid to see it in the cinemas tbqh famalam.

The movie was cute at parts, but overall it was really boring.
They should have removed all the Cold War shit and made it a full romance movie and have the conflict come from issues in such an unorthodox relationship. I would have liked it more then, as is it's little more than a husbando movie for lonely girls with forced drama.
