It's got an interesting history. The character Red and Solomon were liked incredibly well and it lead to a fair few things. Most notable was that someone started work on a NES Godzilla Romhack that would emulate the playout of events of the creepypasta. It would be PC only (obviously) but not be made on a NES engine so that it could include the uncanny "higher details" in certain areas and smoother animations in places.

Also, Solomon and Red now have trademarks and are possibly in line to show up in a comic series called Project Nemesis, which can lead to a new game.
