Are these elves or was the game made by the people who did Landstalker and Ladystalker? Climax, the original Shining Force people.

Yeah it was basically a sequel in all but the name. As far as I can remember there were Elves (dreamwalkers) and Humans.

never played fable 3. outside of the horrible load issues, was it any good?

Final act's story and art is neat, everything else is shit. Don't bother playing it, it's just a much worse Fable 2.

why does anyone care?

It felt like the whole game was leading up to something…and then it didn't happen. You spend most of it gaining power/allies, then you become king, spend a literal in-game year making a few decisions and then fight a final battle. That's it. It would have been so much better if it actually lead up to you commanding soldiers around and actually getting involved in battles. Instead it just ends.
