I heard plenty of times that nuTG codebase is shit. I agree, but maybe it is possible to fix it? What do you hate about nuTG codebase?
I think they really turned to shit with following changes:
1. Airlocks break from brute damage. Every shitter just breaks them instead of hacking. Even if hacking is very easy.
2. Miners have too many research items in mining vendor and so they hunt lavaland bosses instead of mining. There is less ore then on asteroid and danger is higher.
3. Research requires mutated plants, items from mining and cargo, besides ore, to max it. It takes way too long and may be impossible on lowpop.
4. Wizards and nuke ops have new energy shields that make them invincible to melee, lasers, guns and stuns until shield absorbs too much damage. This makes them nearly unstoppable.
5. Space cold does not slow you down as much and you can easily survive and move in space without a hardsuit for a short time.
And there is probably more. What do you think?

Lots of players are using windows 7 (I know one who's using windows 98) and tgui breaks for them since it needs IE v11 and windows 7 only goes up to… what version 9 or some such.
That was most of the bitching anyway.
Also /vg/ has a ton of features that nu-tg doesn't. I'm more confortable with tg code too, but vg has a lot of content that I like.
