Yeah, a lot of devs never knew what to do with O. X was consistently the confirm button, and Triangle or Square were usually "go back", but O kind of jumped around. There aren't many places I can move it to still have it be convenient when I need it.

I've never seen triangle as jump. Saw Square as it a few times. In menus, it was kind of a crapshoot with early games if O would be confirm, or go back, or neither.

Shadow Hearts: From the New World. While the series is known for a mix of horror and quirk, From the New World is much more on the quirky side of things, leaving the more horror-style moments somewhat few and far between. Monster designs are still great overall for it though.

That final fight with Lady and Umbral Malice is annoying. At least the music is enjoyable.

Yeah, put off beating it for a while between getting sick a while back and slightly depressed that after I beat it, there's nothing left to play through in the series for the first time anymore ( and no, Chaos Wars does not count as "more to play"). It's still manageable through comboing Umbral Malice's health down, but it's a long haul.

I really liked Eureka Seven, but the pacing of it being about twice as long as it ought to be doesn't help.

Well, the main one doesn't need to heal since until the barrier breaks it's not affected by anything. But it's not fun seeing the other guy's health bar shoot up by a good 800 or so health when you're stuck having to relegate one or two characters to constant healing duty since the Hexes and Malice attacks they do hit so hard.

the length of the show is the main problem for me as well at least it wraps up the story and ties up most loose ends pretty decently. It is something that it gets right and stuff I wish more shows did but granted it has 50 episodes to wrap up everything while most don't near that length.

I mean, it's one thing for a series to drag on and on, and some original series can get by just fine with a low amount of episodes, but if something's an adaptation, let it have enough episodes to properly cover it, rather than trying to cram it all into 13 or less or do anime original ending bullshit.
