WHEN'S THE FUCKING PC VERSION
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I only give a damn about ishin and kenzan.
Modern day faggotry can fuck right off.

see >>11779285

Is this a prequel to the first one?

Yes. Only PS4 if you don't know.

I already played this in 2015 when it came out in Moonspeak. You can play it through easily except for one part. There is some cake you have to get from a shop. Otherwise you don't have to understand the characters at all.

Once the game is out, I hope someone dumps it so I can check the files. I'm planning on porting the translation to PS3. Still salty about that bullshit. Nips get cross-console but PD westerners? LOL PS4 Only! See goy? We totes have gaems. Look at this game that's totally an exclusive and we're not just holding a version of the game that has already been released 2 years ago hostage or anything. :^)

When is Haruka's segment in Y5 over? I'm already on Part 2 when some bitches force Haruka to appologize for wanting to go full Dragon of Dojima on em, and though I appreciate the change of pace I wanna go back to punching dudes.

tfw you know for certain that based Nagoshi will never disappoint you

I actually haven't looked forward to a game in a long time but I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. I was getting tired of exploring modern Kamachuro so getting to explore Kamachuro of the 80s will be a nice change of pace I think.

Just push through and do the minimum amount of side jobs if you're tired of it, you've done half the big televised idol battles at this point I'm pretty sure.
Without revealing spoilers I will tell you that there's some non-idol stuff that ties back into the main plot coming up, so just knock out those next few battles.
I thought I'd want to rush through myself, but I had too much fun with the magazine interviews and TV side appearances.

Yakuza 6 disappointed Japan. I would say be wary for in 2018 we might finally get the first mediocre Yakuza game. Surely a sign of the apocalypse, if it isn't just the japs' shit taste.

Cant be worse than Dead Souls.

i'm on the verge of fucking exploding, when i heard there were going to be multiple playable characters in 4 i thought majima would be playable. wasn't the case, then i thought in 5 he would be playable, wasn't the case, i played dead souls which was bad almost solely for majima.

so on top of getting to play as majima, everything else about the game looks fucking fantastic, i'm dead salty i wasn't smart enough to call out of work tomorrow

from what i hear part of it are the gooks being upset that haruka isn't their pure waifu in it anymore, and part of it is they stripped out the fighting styles from 0 and kiwami making the whole combat feel like a step down when compared to multiple characters or multiple styles

It's a holiday the after tommorow where I live and I shall spend it playing Zero the whole day, guess I lucked out.

Also I hear that there is no gambling in Hiroshima which a good portion of the game takes place in so you can't earn easy money.

i never really gamble in the yakuza games anyways since pounding gook skulls in the streets usually makes me enough chex-mix money to buy energy drinks

I'm going to do all sidequests, even if it kills me.

i've been talking yakuza online in forums, threads and in voice chats ever since 5 was finally announced.

with 0 tommorow, kiwami later in the year and 6 next year i don't know what to do anymore.

i can't do what i used to do where i would comlain that these games never got released and fuck sega, and i can't shill 5 so that we get more yakuza.

where do i go from here? do i start petitioning sega to give me a kenzan and ishin localization, i've never been in a situationwhere i know the release date of the latest yakuza game.

Oh yeah, I heard Haruka had a one night stand in 6 or something. Also that the cast from the franchises' 10 years barely appears in it, same thing with Beat Takeshi.

she got knocked up is what i read, which is such a bold move from the writers considering its japan that i actually like that they tried that stunt, considering how long the players have fathered harukua its pretty neat they would do something a shithead daughter would do to give you a personal conflict

I'm having the same problem. I wasn't expecting to actually get what I wanted.

Only Yakuza game I have finished is 3, I got 3, 4 and preordering 0. Oh and that zombie thing. Should I reroll back to 1 and 2. Or continue to 4 and 5. So many yakuzas goddamn.

1 is easily the worst game in the series, but it kicks the whole thing off, and a lot of 0 involves characters in 1. 2 is arguably the best in the best in the series.

quick question as well when Yakuza 5 launched in the west it included all the japanese DLC with it.

are we getting the same deal with 0?

Can you play 0 without playing any of the previous games? I don't mind going back to older mechanics, I just rather wait for Yakuza Kiwami instead of playing the original PS2 version

How is the minigame content compared to the rest of the series. I heard 6 was really lacking in it, and i want somthing that has a lot of content before i throw down 60 dollars on this.

i love 2 and it is my personal favorite but its age is really showing especially with how great 5 turned out after they ironed out some of the kinks of having multiple characters, hopefully they do an rework of it like they are for one just so i can jack off to yakuza2 more

in theory there won't really be any negative side effects to starting 0 before kiwami because its a prequel, i imagine they will do fresh introductions to characters who are in the other games

No PS3 version?

Well, playing it in a decade, I guess. I refuse to get a PS4 until it's dirt cheap.

The used ones seem to still be too expensive, even though nobody buys them.

I guess I'll push through it. Haruka's segment isnt bad but it certainly feels like a let down after hunting bears and having snowball fights as Saejima.

You mean second best and most coherent? Yes. Yes, Yakuza 1 is second best.
You mean 2 is INarguably the best. That's probably because from what I heard a detective writer wrote the story for it.

They won't ever do it, but I'd really dig a Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Gamefaq anger posts:

>It makes me laugh that you guys actually discuss about the story but not even one knowing or acknowledging the fact that you all HAVE PLAYED THROUGH THEM SCENARIOS ALREADY.

There is a PS3 version, you just gotta import it since 5 took forever to get localized.

Yep, its basically a prequel to the entire series.

Its ballsy but it is disappointing that the game itself doesnt hold up as well compared to other games in the series from what I'm reading, or at least a weak way to end the Kazuma Kiryu storyline

Is Y2 that good? I only got to Chapter 10 or so before dropping it. I didnt hate it, I especially loved how great combat felt in it, but I wonder if its one of those games where you appreciate more on a second playthrough. It just didnt click with me, possibly because I jumped into Y1 for the first time last year and was blown away by it.

I vastly prefer Yakuza 1 but I do find the story in Yakuza 2 to be more interesting. It's also a good capstone on Kiryu's story.

GOOD TO SEE THEY DIDN'T RUIN THE COMBAT

...

i haven't watched it because i don't wanna spoil much about zero but i can tell you 90% of youtube videos of people playing the yakuza games are them exploiting the system by spamming an easy heat attack and chugging recharge drinks or some other exploit

the heat attacks are cool but the groundwork is still solid and under appreciated at times

why is there a beggar in every thread about these games. It's so embarrassing.

k have fun with that choppy framerate from 5.

For someone who's never played a Yakuza game, is it fun?

You damn right its fun.

The games 2, 3, 4, 5. and 0 seem to have the most universal fun amongst everyone. 1 is dated as fuck and everyone had a hard time getting through that, meanwhile 6 is getting a mixed reception.

I'v only beat the first game so far but it was great.
If you want detail I recommend this video it sold me completely.

convenient that 1 is getting a revisit with kiwami. Yakuza 2 is easily in my top 10 favorite games most of the time but man its age really is showing since i replayed it a couple months ago, especially after 5 really knocked it out of the park after ironing out some of the wrinkles of having multiple characters

This will be the first Yakuza game I played.

I'll buy it during a flash sale.

Hope y'all niggas ordered your copy, it looks like Yakuza 0 is selling out.

Is the game getting much backlash from the usual suspects?

I knew I should have bought it in store.

twitter.com/TwanLaVeesh/status/823205617997385729

My Y5 run has been on the backlog for months right at the beginning of Haruka's part. It's not so much the break from smashing bikes on punk's heads but the fact that I'm terrible at rhythm games that's not getting me in the mood to jump back in.

Copy-paste from gematsu article:
According to Sega, it will be releasing a few patches over the next couple of weeks that add free downloadable content to the game. Each batch will contain content such as new outfits, weapons, items, and crafting components. The first downloadable content is available today, and three additional batches will be made available every week until February 14. Players can access these bonuses in the game by talking to Bob the clown in front of the shrine in Kamurocho or Sotenbori.

Got Gravity Rush 2 (why are there so many hookers in this series?) last week and just started it a couple of days ago but fuck it! I'll see if I can grab it tomorrow. And there's NieR and P5 on the horizon (still iffy on Nioh; kinda assblasted from the demo) and, on a smaller scale, the last DaS3 DLC.

Probably not popular enough for that. Those assholes don't play games.

The fuck is this shit attempt at censoring? Besides, who cares about these double standard bearing bastards. All they want is kiddie porn anyway.

enjoying gravity rush 2 right now. waiting for yakuza to arrive in the mail.
nioh coming soon
bloodborne machine is finally getting some games.

Should be fine unless they sent literally five copies out to my town. I'm going to try and grab a copy on the 26th.

this is the video that made me go back and play it.

Really wrong from my part, I know

amazon still has it available as of last night. if you have prime you get 20% off of new games and free 2-day shipping where it usually arives on launch day.

Thanks mate but I'm a rural Ausfag, I'm not that worried about my weebshit selling out.

sega plz, it hurts

They did the same with Yakuza 5. There's rewards if you got the HD collection on PS3 even if it never came out.

Hm…

Aw fuck six more hours to install. Maybe I should have bought a physical copy.

...

i always try to get weeb games on physical. they rarely rely on updates to be playable like most western titles, so that means you would actually be able to play it years from now.

i ordered from amazon. my shit didnt get delayed. wait, did it?… ill be right back

I have too many physical games and so much space on my hard drive right now that it's more convenient to just download games and play them straight of my PS4 without worrying about discs. I just don't like waiting that long since I want to play it now but I guess it's better than waiting for a copy to arrive in the mail.

Damn shame, I preordered 4 days before launch and it came in the mail today.

Holy fuck though its good. I though Yakuza 5 was the best but 0 blows this out of the water thanks to that sexy 60fps and it shit actually happens in the first chapter. Also the style system is great, makes no sense why 6 didnt include it.

Good taste.

If it's any consolation, at least you'll get your copy this week instead of the middle of next week. Hope you have fun user.

That's what I've been hearing constantly since it came out in nipland that aside from the samurai spinoff it's the best game in the entire series. Man I hope we get those samurai spinoffs too.

Well I just went and bought it. I was actually scared that it didn't even ship to my town because the copies weren't even on store shelves.

AngryJoe made a good review

Played today for 6 hours:
No sjw-like-story, everything is twisted and complex beyond limits; expect every sidequest to be multi-stage/act/story with it's own twists; chapter1 main quest alone is more complex than most games entire story
boss is to strong? spam healing items in your inventory (they are dirt cheap); this is batman/shadow of mordor tier challenge; don't expect it to be bloodborne

HOW DARE YOU OP?
let's have one then, what did I miss between Yakuza 2 and now?

Who?
You talking about Pissed-off Pablo?

I think you mean Grumpy Gonzales?

Still waiting for my copy. Looks badass.

Agreed. I enjoyed the slow burn of some of the earlier games but damn if it isn't nice to get right into some action off the bat in zero. Really enjoying the game so far.

Well it's not like energy drinks are any cheaper though they should be because of inflation it's just that you have a ridiculous amount of money to spend now but most of that would be going to strengthening your styles.

Went absolute madman and got my copy. I need to start working on my game multitasking skills. Maybe I'll try to play this and continue my playthrough of 5.

I started on hard, it's been pretty engaging so far. The first boss did seem a bit simple though after I figured out his AI would attack as soon as you gave him a window and then all you had to do was side dodge, attack and repeat.

...

...

So…
have you fuck-boys come prepared?

Never again

...

...

Learn to dodge. I still avoid fighting them.

spend that anime muny fam or you'll lose it

Kikes need to burn.

being a kike transcends ethnicity

The difference is; Sega wants Yakuza to become a big of a franchise in the west as it is in Japan.
Meanwhile Atlus already knows Persona is fucking huge in the west and japan so they jew it up because goys don't fight it

thinking emoji

The shilling for this game on Youtube has been rather strong as of late, since this has 0 on the title, most normalfags are going to see this as an easy entrypoint to the series and they are using that to their advantage.

Well, it arrived today. Turns out I got the business edition or something. And got some cool business card shit.

That Sachiko was really into him. I mean he is a pussy slayer now but damn 20 year old Kiryu really gets some action. Also I'm really digging this phone booth minigame that replaced the hostess clubs.

All I could think of.

I got the last copy yesterday. First time playing a Yakuza game since it's a prequel so I felt that was the best time to get into it.

Finished the first episode. Fun combat, fun game.

Oh man now I'm playing as Kiryu: Real Estate Tycoon. This game is amazing.

LMAO

yeah, i put my actual business cards in the Yakuza business card holder. Can't wait until I pull one out and the cardboard hostess card falls out.

Bought the sole copy in my local gamestop because of various user's non-stop shilling for it here, never played Yakuza before, what should I expect?

I'm trying to find better Security people, all the ones I have so far suck. Sachiko is doing good as a manager, though.

you know how GTA is full of weird minigames?
well take out the driving and the guns from GTA and make the story like a daytime japanese TV drama and have the combat revolve around melee attacks.

Also lots of sega wanking all over the place and a lot of Japanese centred things

I browsed the account briefly. They seem to like Yakuza

...

Kiryu made an orphanage, Haruka got kidnapped like 3 more times except one was non-canon and had zombies, and then Haruka became a pop-star idol to pay off her orphanage's debts, then we saw Majima before he was crazy and Kiryu when he WAS, and now we have Yakuza 6 where you can jump off roofs, ragdoll people the fuck out, make your own Yakuza clan with everyone alive.

Also Kiwami is a remake of 1 with Yakuza 0's multi-style system and Majima stalks you everywhere like Nemesis.

We're getting 0, Kiwami and 6. 0 has a WAY BETTER translation job, because they added subtitles to the HEAT ACTIONS and faithfully translated the game.

Oh and Yakuza 4 and 5 have multiple characters with crazy ass fighting styles.

Oh and Yakuza 0 has you play as Majima as well.

just bait the charge attack and walk to the side to avoid it. Easy way to get 100s of millions early on because they're so easy to kill.

Befriend the cop that does stop-and-searches. He's a level 4 security guard.

So is 0 worth buying at full price? I just got done emulating 2 a couple of months ago, so 0 seems like the next best step until I can get around to the PS3 games somehow.

Yakuza 0 was being sold at $80 here in Australia, which is $20 cheaper than games usually launch at, I'm not sure if it's the same elsewhere but I've been having a good romp so far. Issues I've noticed are some typos in 2 side quests and I notice a lot of textures/models for smaller things in the environment updating as I walk but the game otherwise looks nice and runs at a smooth 60fps.

Probably because they're split across 3 consoles now. I've been picking away at 1 and I'm not looking forward to having to buy a PS3 and a PS4 if I want to keep up with the series

Having a proper re-release on PS4 would be equally good though, as would having a way to get 2 that isn't "sell your kidneys" or "learn moon"

Also SEGA said they wanted to re-release their shit on PC, and then did fuck-all. I'd personally rather get Vanquish and Anarchy Reigns though, because console controls for shooters and paid P2P dead multiplayer aren't my idea of a good time

So Yakuza 0 is currently the single best Yakuza game ever made?

Man this game is just fucking divine. Spent most of the day playing it at the expense of my studies, and I don't regret it.

Probably should have spent a little more time as Kiryu and knocked out a few more side activities before getting to Majima, but oh well, I'm pretty hype to finally play as him in something that isn't a shooter.

It was full price in Burgerstan. I went into Gamestop to pick up my copy and was pretty saddened to hear that they literally only ordered a single one because of how poorly Yakuza's sell.

Now if only my stupid fucking friend would trust me when I say this game is fucking balls to the wall awesome.

Well then you'll love Yakuza!

WHY!? What drives people away? I see Kiryu shove a handful of nails into a guy's mouth before going to dance at a disco parlor and I think it's rad as fuck, but these faggots always do double takes and hesitate even when their interests perfectly align with literally everything Yakuza offers.

It makes me pretty upset.

I really like it so far, if the story can keep from shitting itself in the final act like Yakuza 5 did then I'd definitely say it's up there. Shame Yakuza 6 is apparently pretty shit.

...

...

I'm so glad that my theory that Kaz is still a virgin is panning out…

I've beaten the 5th Mr. Shakedown now and I'm not even done with chapter 4. I've spent 332,200,000 yen on Majima's abilities.

twitch.tv/darksydephil

streaming

What? Nigga I already fucked like 2 girls using the telephone club and got raped by one.

Couldnt Kazuma be raped by a trap in 1 as well?

And by John Wu in three. Kazuma's got a long history of being raped by men who look like chicks.

Mirei? Just happened to me too.

Yep. That was some pretty funny shit though and him walking away from it in critical health was a nice touch.

...

It would be ironic since some of the game has socjus nonsense in it, like Kiryu whining about kink shaming and saying shit like "you should never hit a woman no matter how tough she is" in regard to some chick that just kicked the ass of some other dude.

Goddamn I just found about it, let's see if…
GUESS I'M IMPORTING, are there translations?

Majima says "shit lord" as well.

I just got done with a 12 hour play session of this game and I would keep going but I'm tired and have shit to do tomorrow its shaping up to be my GOAT

Yakuza is nice and all, but who the fuck cares?

So what you're saying is that the combat is good but the combat is bad?

believe it or not accidental sage, here's a bump

I heard that yakuza 0 is getting free dlc. whats up with that?

There's a clown named Bob that hands out free DLC shit, he gave me a gun and a solid gold plate

least its not a guy with his back turned walking away from the camera

kiryu gets raped when he goes to jail in the first game

I will never care.

pc when

I want to buy it im just not sure how it compares to the others in the series, anybody play it?

The combat can be good if you're not a retard and can learn how to vary your moves up. It's like fighting games, you can spam one attack that's effective, but you can also learn how to do more complex shit that is also effective. This is actually the year PS4 is getting a shit ton of games if you're a weeb. This and a ton of other games coming out this year and next have motivated me to get a PS4.

user, read the thread.

I'm on the final chapter right now just getting more money to upgrade my abilities and shit. As long as they don't pull an Aizawa it's the best story since 2 and the combat is fun as hell. The gauntlets are more bearable now since they aren't exceedingly long, they made them just right. Basically this is the best Yakuza game I've played and the best game I've played all year.

You could just use emulators, shame that 1+2 remake on the wii u never reached america.

BEGGARS IN EVERY THREAD

game is great by the way

I just wanna be a samurai beating punks randomly.

I also don't understand this begging. Right now PS4 is worth the same as new jewvidia card. You just don't buy jewvidya upgrade to your PC this year (you can buy next year when new 100080 Ti cards will be able to run Overwatch 8k).

Second boss is shit. Beast mode with couch as weapon and you don't even sweat. Fuck you Oda! Thrird chapter is a joke. Right now I'm trying to call from suitcase phone.

You must be a special kind of stupid.

I bought a new copy of Shantae Risky Beats Edition and it was missing the soundtrack disc, and on more then one occasion they've sent me games that come with any enclosed remediation codes already activated.

Sega has yet to announce the PC ports, watch it be a bundle of this with 5 and Kiwami in which acterwards they announce the HD collection of all the first four games including an uncensored and content complete 3
a man can dream

Story so far is the best since 2, 5 was up there but shit the bed super hard in the final act. Combat is improved in that the new styles keep fights from getting boring, still early on but so far it seems less heat move heavy, which is nice, because 5 was getting a bit excessive in that regard.

Nice to finally have something to play on my PS4.

When the PC Master Race finally gets around to emulating PS4. The same way they've gotten games from every console.

Just finished it and the story stays good from beginning to end. Not gonna spoil anything but if you've already played 1 you kinda have an idea how it ends so there was absolutely nothing to be disappointed about on that. It was an amazing ride.

Only on Chapter 4 myself, the game is definitely a blast. I have to get used to the game's pacing, though.

PC or fuck off.

Well you can fuck off, i'm going to buy a PS4.

Best of goyim.

...

...

Alright, bud

Yeah, i'm doing this.

The pacing is what kept me going playing the game for three days straight actually. The way each chapter ends on a cliffhanger and goes back to the other protagonist makes you want to just keep plowing through the story. Fuck I barely did any side quests and am now doing everything I missed in Premium Adventure mode.

Nice shitpost, though.

Have fun with your two games, retard. PS3s are cheap.

You really like steam dick up your ass, don't you.

...

The side quests are pretty good, I've got caught up doing them and there's some cool stuff in them like getting to meet Ryuji when he's a kid.

PS3 games are free and the console itself is cheap as hell and filled with exclusives, you are fucking moron.

Only if you like getting fucked by denuvo.

I don't think consoles have denuvo Do they? I wouldn't be surprised. I thought the console it's self was the DRM, I didn't know we were getting DRMception at this point.

That's what I'll end up doing in the end, but it's shit that it's come down to that purely by necessity

On the flip side though, it's a good thing you can get a PS3 for less than $100, because it's a poorly made piece of shit. Memory allocation was done by retards and its a testament to the hard work of developers that shit runs on that console properly. I feel bad for anyone who bought one when they were new

I just got the game. Does downloading "Data sets" ever stop? I can't sustain an internet connection to my PS4, so in between walking down literally one road I'm just staring at a loading screen for forever.

Just started Yakuza 0 today. This one tosses us to the karaoke lions right away.
Ran into a nasty glitch right after getting the Rush style - while starting a fight in the street, one enemy got stuck running against a rail preventing the fight from starting and I had to reset the game. I get the feeling this might be a common occurrence.

I've seen NPCs getting stuck running into things before, never an enemy though. Didn't happen a single time in my over 50 hours of playing the game so I wouldn't worry too much.

I'm taking my time now, just playing all the substories I can.

okay

That seems weird. I hope I don't ran into that.

Call me when PS4 has a two digit number of games.

Some people would argue the same for PS3, so I don't see your point.

Funny how half of them are Yakuza, isn't it.

That's not going against what I said. Also, if you like importing, I'm sure that puts that adds a couple more for the PS4.

CATFIGHT BETTING IS FUCKING RIGGED I SWEAR

That's good to hear. I really liked 5 up until the final act roled around and that really interesting mystery they were building took a harsh nosedive as characters started acting nonsensically. Glad to see they sort of shook that off at this point.

So far I haven't run into anything like that, regular NPCs get caught on geometry every once and a while but they're just set dressing so it doesn't matter.

My biggest issue so far is that every roving group of mooks is three guys. Every time. No more, no less. I'm assuming this number goes up later on because I am annihilating the random encounter mooks in ten seconds or less.

I think part of the problem is that a group of onlookers spawned right behind the enemy, effectively trapping him between two walls.

Also, now that it's been mentioned, yeah, it's all groups of three. The cutscene at the start is always the same too while in Y5 there's 3 or 4 of them. The spots where you help people are always the same as well.
Finished the first chapter. Went around playing a few games. I'm terrible at batting, I've no clue how I managed to play those Sega arcade games when I was a kid because I got completely demolished in those and, on a positive note, my bowling strike strategy still works (two steps to the left, full powered ball and if it gets titled to a side, just give it a couple of sways to the other).

There's a survey for the game from Sega. Tell Sega you want more Yakuza games in the west. Maybe get a HD Kurohyō game if enough people ask about it.

yakuza.sega.com/yakuza0/survey/18PddShzFsWsSGXC7BiKWGkuvi9PCra-KHLLLtkHNbRY/

Haha time to beg for Isshin

The odds are against you but it's not impossible to win. Just don't guess randomly in RPS since the enemy has a pattern like starting off strong or using their best moves to finish a girl off. I lost more than I won with that advice though and there might be other tricks but I don't care I got a hole burning in my pocket and the fights are entertaining at least.

Had my first run in with Mr Shakedown. Got completely destroyed in two hits. Thank God that was just a warning shot.
Decided to wander about before calling it a night and got [CURRENT DECADE]'d by a schoolgirl, then decided to rob a sleeping guy like a stupid jew without paying any attention to who said guy is only for him to get up and I'm just like "fuck my life". Pulled through though. The worst part was the humiliation of getting knocked down by a drunkard a gazillion times before getting that right.

Any tips for the baseball mini-game? I feel like I'm not making any progress there.

I never cared much for the baseball minigame in this series but I do know that there is a sweet spot that works every time on any given difficulty level. The trick is finding that sweet spot.

...

Hope they enjoy that note I wrote them.

Recently got the game earlier than I expected, and enjoying it so far especially the side stories and the disco club.

What's the best way to beat this guy up instead of jewing him out of his money while he's sleeping?

Set the game to easy and use destruction stance. Globber him. Rinse and repeat.

Or just avoid him until you are stronger.

Sounds like bowling then.

Ran into him a second time and yeah, that's pretty much how it went.

Don't ask me. That mongoloid just made off with 26 mirrion and now I'm running around town in circles like a stupid asshole trying to find to get my cash back (or, more likely, lose what I have). Cunt decided his stomp did 90% damage because fuck me, that's why.
If you keep your distance, he'll do nothing but the charge that's easy to avoid but the problem is having a move to capitalize because with that method, you can't build Heat at all, you'll just peck him to death while praying he doesn't feel like OHKOing you.

And, yeah, disco's pretty fun though I'm terrible at it.

To those unaware, there's a guy in Pink Alley that will pay 5 million just to see a full set of phone cards (A, B and C for one girl), per set so that's a nice way to make some quick cash.

I managed to cheese it by using Majima's Slugger style. Since he has a weapon I just wait until I can do the heat action. Also, a shit load of Stamina Royale's help all out.

Found the asshole sleeping like a pig and took him out. Broke about 3 or 4 signs on his fat head then used Rush to peck him to death for his last 1/4 HP.
Got my money back and a whole lot more.

Yakuza 0 is my second Yakuza game after a failed attempt at emulating Yakuza and not being able to get past the sneaking section in the beginning because my GPU was too shit.
My God, it's like I discovered masturbation at 25. This the the best fucking video game I have played since Super fucking Metroid
I can't explain how good it is, the in-depth story, all the whacky bullshit, the DBZ-tier fighting system, the fucking fact the lanscape actually somewhat resembles IRL Japan, the level of detail in everything from the arcades to the little noodle shop where you can befriend one of the chefs.
Fuck I could go on a page-long semi-coherent rant about how much I love this game, and I haven't even seen Osaka yet.

Support these games you faggot, they're incredibly well made.
are the other ones this well made? If so I might just have to buy a PS3, I fell for the memes

How do you get the scene with the yanki at night?

Holy shit I only got 11 million off of him.

Holy shit this quest. Go to tenkaichi alley once you've hit chapter 6.

THE WIND IS CALLING ME

1 - 5 aren't 30 FPS I think, but they're all extremely meaty games with tons of content.

Played 4. Loved it.

Played Dead Souls. Was fun because it was the Zombie Apocalypse of 4, even if it played like a lazy mod of 4.

The lead singer bumps into Kiryu near the Maharaja disco or that old looking building where the stop-n-search cop is IIRC and then you follow him into Theater Avenue.

Tell me about it. I immediately spent that crap (because there's another one wandering about).
Oh and I forgot the funniest bit about the run in where I got shaken down for 26 mirrion - I found a dream machine and put 1 million there and got a super rare pocket car part and that in turn got me a trophy (Lucky Star IIRC) and then I turn around and the cutscene with him is triggered. Lucky day, my ass!

Side note, my bowling strat from 5 is not as reliable and not only that, the clerk there is beating my ass with some very interesting strategies like using very heavy balls with less than half power.

Also, after meeting Bacchus I thought they finally made the gaijin piggus look good in these series. Boy, was I severely mistaken. Let's just say I found the uncanny valley cousins of two major celebrities.

This and A Taxing Issue are my favorite side quests so far. Really funny shit.

I've played all the Yakuza game and to be honest all of them are well worth playing and all of them have a truckload of content within them, even 3 which is noticeably the weakest in the series.

Yakuza games*

Why do I suck so badly at karaoke?

Practice on easy until you get the hang of it. Don't let yourself get overwhelmed and it's better to miss than input a wrong command.

so i've been collecting the porn cards and when i go to the erotic video store it says i must meet the women.

do i do this via the phone dating minigame or are they found in substories?

i'm on the fourth kiryu chapter if that matters

I used to be like that, just practice until you git gud at rhythm games. Try bobbing your head or tapping your foot to the beat.

Both I think.

You're screen might not be calibrated to the input lag or whatever it's called.

I really wanted to enjoy that taiko drum game in 4 but couldn't for this reason.

Is there any way to calibrate in Yak4?

On my end, I brainfart when I get stuff wrong then get overwhelmed and completely lose control.
As already pointed out, practice is king. No shortcuts to this. On the plus side, it does give some thumb discipline which might pretty useful for a lot of other games.

Been wondering about this too. Then again, I might be too eager. I'm on chapter 2 or 3 (not sure; started a new day and am collecting info on Tachibana Real Estate).

Shame the new attract mode video…sucks. Bubble was such a great song.

true,

but it eventually gets better, i do love abit of guitar biddle

Bubble really is a tremendous song, both about the era and befitting the style of Yakuza. The song even name drops the Japanese title - Ryuu ga gotoku.

Finally beat the shit out of that guy, along with the second Mr. Shakedown. Gotta love those Staimin drinks and clobbering them with heavy items.

Yeah, I had some difficulty on playing that mini-game. Really different from the rhythm game in Yakuza 5, but it's pretty fun to move around the dance floor instead of pressing buttons only.

Just gotten that quest along with the quest where you babysit a young version of Daigo.

Sucks that they couldn't keep that song due to licensing issues. Bubble is pretty great.

Has anyone done much with the CP shrine? I've only just thought to use it. Apparently Nouveau Riche men are meant to start appearing around town, whatever that means.

Been using the shrine a lot for its perks like the noveau rich guys and increasing the amount of money Mr. Shakedown has in his pockets. Too bad there's no perks for the cat fights.

...

Nouveau Riche are guys in tacky gold suits (same as the 'Rich Bastards' in 5). They're always solo so you charge one, grab him, do a Heat action and bingo! 4 million in 5 seconds.

I've been spending CPs as much as possible. Just got the one to get more money from Mr Shakedown (and I've already got over 100,000,000 from him on two occasions).
Speaking of CPs, those meme-loving fucks put one named "Gotta Go Fast".

And just met Ms Tatsu. I think got a boner. Heck! I think Kiryu got a boner too.
Beast mode is pretty fun and I was pleasantly surprised so see it's not just a recycling of Saejima's move set.
That said, I'm a bit confused over the grab Heat actions as I got three different things from a standing grab - one where Kiryu swings one enemy by one arm, hitting the others; the "standard" grab from Y5 where he drops one enemy on top of a downed one and Saejima's "super", the head first power bomb.

theres so much shit to do and they've given me way more incentive to do it than ever with stuff like the poorly named CP, and having subquests affect your businesses

the hostess club is way more enjoyable to do than it was in yakuza 4 where it was such a drag i don't think i ended up finishing it. i haven't found any new girls to hire in the streets and no new subquests have opened up so maybe i'll move the story a bit more now

i like all the styles except for breaker, which is a shame cuz i was so hyped for playable goro in general and that style doesn't really do it for me

The swinging throw is when other enemies are around. The one where you drop one dude on another is when you throw someone near an enemy on the ground. The piledriver is when none of those factors exist.

Figured it would be something like that. Thanks.
Shame there isn't a way to, at least, single out the power bomb in case you want to seriously damage one enemy.

Incidentally, I noticed that with rails you can get both the spinebuster and the tail bone breaker depending on your position.

At the same time that director spoke in the weirdest language possible.

You can get more girls under business in the CP shrine. Best thing about the hostess club minigame is training Ai Uehara.

Fucking up substories is almost more entertaining than doing them properly.

yeah i got a few through there and a bunch of girls through side stories but i feel like i need a lot more than i got right now, but i'll mess with that later since i'm back to kiryu now and buying up all the property in the area before i move on with him some more

wow fuck that

That was the first time I ever even got close to 5 million points due to the pressure. Still only got 4.8 million.

...

So anons, which moveset is fun? Kiryu's or Majima's?

...

Kiryu's movesets are a little more boring but functional, I feel like Majima's base thug style is a little weaker than it ought to be. Breaker is a ton of fun and the bat just flat out fucking annihilates mooks.

was not expecting the girl in white to pop out like that

Just started Chapter 3. The scene was lengthy but really good. Now, I'm not all that up to snuff on my Yakuza lore but I suppose Majima was acting very out of character there (though what he did was fuckin' genius). They're not gonna call someone 'Mad Dog' for being calm and composed, I suppose.
I'm surprised the game is structured like this; I thought it would be like 5. Better this way IMHO.

Starting to wonder if I'm not overdoing it on the side things. Only on chapter two and I fought Shakedown about 5 times, learned 3/5 moves from the three masters, did a bunch of quests, started about 7 friendships and basically got every upgrade up to 30 million. I admit these games still bewilder me like that.

And completely destroyed the chapter 2 boss with Rush by using the little dodge cancel between every 5 hit barrage. Dude didn't even get a chance to fight back until I stopped and switched to Beast because I wanted to smash some furniture on his head.

...

The legend goes that Majima became the Mad Dog of Shimano by enduring his year long torture session. Now we find out it's the events in 0 that turned him into the Mad Dog.

he hasn't got the title yet so i'm sure he's gonna lose his fucking shit during his story

Yeah, I think I found the point where he goes ballistic. Those obatarians are really pushing him over the edge.

Meanwhile, after figuring that Mr Shakedown is a paper tiger, I'm actively hunting them down. Just started with Majima and already beat them 5 times. Incredibly tedious though; with both characters I use the standard style, run around to bait the dodge and sneak in a light>heavy 2 hit, rinse repeat until I can smash something on them. Ideally, he'll do that clumsy lariat that lets you safely get in 4 hits.

Also met the doll girl. I didn't ask for these feels.

New dlc at the shrines today. Kiryu's got a new outfit and some pocket circuit stuff.

i got the golden rifle in a dream machine and got excited thinking it would make short work of shakedowns but turns out it barely hurts him, so best bet is to just bait and poke, and if you have tauriners spam a easy to activate heat action

Meh I got better pocket circuit parts from dream machines and the costumes are the ridiculous ones from their karaoke videos. Hopefully the next pack is better.

Yeah same here. I guess that 350 attack just doesn't apply to those guys. Fucking things cost 25 million to reload too.

I tried both a shotgun and a katana on him. I think they might do even less damage than fists.
Bats seem efficient (though Majima's Slugger might leave him too open).

Speaking of karaoke, I did one for Majima (24-hour Cinderella IIRC) just for shits and giggles and holy crap! the difficulty is on a whole new level. Even caught me off guard with how quick the pointer starts.

jesus christ this is gr8

karaoke doesn't give me too much trouble i can get around 90 generally, but i'm terrible at the disco mini game

The karaoke could really use a timer on the next line to indicate when it starts, like the way DJMax Technika does it.

If you time your button presses to the beat of the music instead of looking when to press, disco gets a lot easier.

makes sense but i'm not that musically gifted, this is gonna suck cuz i'm sure media king will do a dance battle for the midway of his territory

i'm salty enough i had to fight gambling king in the catfight betting which of course i lost savagely

Why even live?

did anyone do the turkey challenge at the bowling alley? i actually lost my shit laughing at the results and regret not screenshotting the dialogue

This pic reminds me of Hinamatsuri, so now I'm interested in playing a Yakuza game. 0 a good starting point?

yes and no. its fine to start the story with since its a prequel and it you won't even miss too many inside jokes from what i've played so far, maybe only one story element is a bit confusing if you didn't play 4

the downside is its really mechanically fantastic and makes 1-2 look particularly rough if you were to play them afterwards. a lot of people would say play in release order but if you can't emulate, 1 and 2 are increasingly difficult to get hard copies of and 1 aged quite poorly, but it did get a full makeover that comes to the west in a few months

so go for release order, or maybe 0, remake, then release order from 2 on, but you will feel some mechanical downgrades if you play 0 first.

0 works as a starting point since it's a prequel. It's not completely contained though, there's been a good deal of references to other games and being familiar with the series before playing Yakuza 0 is what I'd recommend.

...

Wait until you get to the Media King's turf. You'll be walking around with a briefcase full of billions of yen buying up hotels in the hotel district while all the prostitutes call you "Mr. President" and want a piece of you. Fells fucking amazing.

...

i lost a lot of yen as majima trying to shake him down too early but it almost seems more profitable just to beat him up later for his chump change compared to your real-estate/hostess money

since its using the power of money i don't even feel bad for getting the guide to the cars

Just use the slugger style and be careful dude.

Slugger for Majima, striker for Kiryu, built up that heat and just let it rip with objects you either pick up or weapons you have on you. You'll be swimming in yen in no time.

I've also finally started making some serious bank off of the businesses. It's nice that they actually bothered to put in several different ways to make large sums of cash in the game outside of beating up thugs.

Catfighting can fuck right off though. Holy shit, RNG fucking garbage.

Sorry, forgot about Striker.

he's so easy though. just fill your inventory with stamina royale. if youre playing as eyepatch man just use his basic stance just run laps around him, when he charges, hit him in the back with the running heavy attack, or get in a few quick attacks. dont be greedy.
if you get hit, heal immediately. the health item brings up those rage bars, then go to baseball stance and use the rush attack.

with the first guy use the kickboxing stance, get in 3-4 quick attacks and then spam X and away to get out of his way. circle him… hit his back with 3-4 quick attacks.. equip a weapon and use the rush attack special on him.

rinse repeat until he dies. his moves are very predictable. i get almost a billion yen from him each time now.

Yeah it's not that they're hard for me or anything but I can make a billion yen from my properties in like 15 minutes now and all I gotta do is play some cee-low with the bums in West Park or go bowling and by the time I'm done, bam, 1 billion yen so I don't really fight those guys anymore.

I'd say the issue with Shakedown is that it can drag out for too long and if you slip up just once, there's high odds you're a goner.

Sadly, I can't beat up shogi players. Gave it a shot, went the same way as in 5. All it's missing is a animation of Majima flipping the board. I oughta read a bit about it because the game instructions alone are not getting me anywhere.

You guys think Yakuza 6 will really be Kiryu's last title? From what I hear they apparently planed loads of other entries to be the last game with Kazuma like with 3 or 5 for example, and I hear the reception to 6 is lukewarm.

I only one once in that game, but after that one win it fucking went downhill. Always win the first two matches, but always lose in the final match. What's fucking more bullshit on the catfights is if one of the girls have the ability to get back up and they one hit KO you.

Pretty much this. Using Shakedown on Mr. Shakedowns is great, but one false move, you have to mash x to get yourself up and heal quick or say goodbye to your wallet.

The hostess managing game is pretty fun, especially when you can give the girls a makeover.

They'll probably make spin-off games like Isshin with him being featured as one of the main characters. Kinda lame that 6 was a step back from Zero and 5.

This is the first time they outright said that this will be the last chapter in Kiryu's story. At the very least 6 will be the last game where Kiryu will appear as the protagonist.

I wanted to let the thug kill the obatarian. Fuck this game for preaching to me.

Poor Kiryu lost the will to live when he found that his dotteru is a tramp.
I think they'll find a way to go back on that; until then, wouldn't surprise me if they remake 2. If I'm not mistaken, it seems to be the most celebrated entry in the series.

I'd be down for smaller stories about other characters, Ryuji and Taiga in particular.

And then she ends up one of the top earners in the club. What the fuck?

So now the game has me defending Tax men?

Seriously what the fuck is with all the preachy sidquests?

Seriously, I should have gotten to beat the shit out of the tax guy, not hear why taxes are important.

Oh come on I thought it was funny the way Majima was giving the politician yakuza extortion tips for raising sales tax.

Amon is a cheapass, and you're basically expected to hit and run with the fucker or use copious amounts of weapons, which will eventually run out because he has a shit-ton of health and defence.

Amon is the hardest boss in the game, and always, always, ALWAYS brings in a new gimmick, like a helicopter dropping in lawnchairs, or in 6's case exploding drones that force you to hit and dodge like a fucked up game of frogger, or bringing out his satillite weapon to force you to stop targeting him.

He was like that in Yakuza 1 where he dual wielded pistols and threw grenades that you could never get. In yakuza 2 he just beat the shit out of you and threw grenades, both encounters usually involved using the Muramasa to even get good hits in.

Yakuza 3 he dual wields lightsabers and his attacks come from nowhere

Yakuza 4 you fight him and 3 of his family in one on one fights back to back, each using tactics that are the EXACT counter and foil to your characters. Same with Yakuza 5.

Combat's skill based. People spam items on lower difficulties, but on higher ones, those tactics plain don't work like you'd expect since damage is reduced for them.

Guns in harder fights essentially become a good way to build up heat, but that's it, in harder difficulties, enemies stop getting scared (and thus back off and stop ganging up on you) when you pull out weapons and instead only get scared when you do WELL. In yakuza 0 on Hard, enemies will gang up on you and use better movesets (even some lifted from coliseum bosses) and generally stop acting dumb.

Amon is also effected by the difficulty setting, he just gets more cheap the harder the game is, though.

Mr.Shakedowns get more money the more you beat them, but they also get more health bars and moves.

at the end of each Shakedown's story (attained by beating their asses), they drop close to a billion yen. Beat one, lose to one, beat one, lose to one, repeat. Eventually, you'll cap out, especially if you bought the Deep Pockets completion bonus and equip the Avarice shirt with the Debt Collector's necklace.

If you don't have Kiryu's Legend style or Majima's Mad Dog style yet, bring guns. You won't use them for damage, but instead to build up heat from a safe distance without wasting precious Staminan Royales.

Alongside your guns, also pack basic weapons for Kiryu and differing weapons for Majima to activate heats without special conditions.

WE ARE BAD BOYS
BREAKING THE LAW
BREAKING THE WORRRRLD

These side quests are too good. I feel like I might be ruining the impact of the story by indulging in so many of these sub stories but the pacing never feels off. It's quite impressive given I've spent over a week with this game and it seems like there's plenty more to the main story.

I'm going to kill who created Ogita's dancing Disco cheap ass.

Managed to do it through a tip.

shiiiet, I gotta finish Gravity Rush 2 anyway, when it comes it comes.

fuck off m8

Yeah you can't lose that one. Fucking hell he gets like 9,000 points you couldn't hope to beat him anyway.

Anyone want a pizza?

Whoever designed the telephone club minigame and then decided to tie 7 sidequests should be violently raped by mr shakedown every day for the rest of their lives.

The game itself is so easy that's it quickly becomes boring, the mechanics are awkward, it's filled with short interruptions and breaks in the action, the girl you get is entirely rng and only extreme jav enthusiasts will have the ability to tell them apart by voice once you have narrowed it down by bikini colour. Even if you can tell them apart by voice I've gone through to meeting up every time a blue bikini girl answers for 6 hours straight and I've only got Riku and Asakura, never Mirei (only girl I have left). Once I started only answering the fast qte's which supposedly filter out Asukara I've got Riku 20+ times.

tl;dr I'm mad

I think that same person is the one who made Ogita average 6000 on the disco minigame.

You can chose easy on the track selection screen, for me he didn't even get 5000 points. After my first 2 attempts at keeping up with his steps and failing I just focused on never missing a note to keep my combo up rather than getting a huge step count and won it fairly easily. He seems to miss his fever combo a lot of the time on easy so you get a big advantage there.

This game kills me. i love how i go through that mission and finally at the end they play the emotional music and the bad guy falls in love with the victim, proposes, and they all eat pizza together to celebrate.
it reminds me of that southpark episode with dreams where it always ended with them eating ice cream.

i wish after each mission where it got emotional, there was always a random pizza for them to eat to make up over or celebrate, followed by the pizza guy in the distance looking over mysteriously

He did for me.
Bullshit, I wasted 4 hours on that cunt.

It took me 3 tries and every time he was +/- 200 from 5k. Maybe it has to do with when you time your fever since it changes the board

Best Mr Shakedown confirmed.

You don't have to lose for them to reappear and follow their story. That said, it took a while as I got OHKO'ed a few times, mostly by that bald bastard scraping me with his tackle and here comes the stomp of doom.
Thanks to them, Majima's swimming in billions and I'm still on Chapter 4. Unlocked Breaker and immediately bought every ability available.
Speaking of which, kinda struggling to figure Breaker - very few Heat opportunities (only figured you can set up the juggle Heat with [Triangle]) and I don't understand the Freeze stance all that well. Still, it completely demolishes anything that can be staggered once it's up against a wall and I love the movement animations.

The Ryuji cameo was great and probably the toughest fight so far alongside Komeki and the weaponsmith with the tonfa. Together with the Climax Battle challenges, it definitely feels like the game is pulling punches. Would be nice if the random encounter peons were a bit harder and, as already mentioned, came in bigger packs than 3.

And if there's ever a next game, they need to add a cat café.

breaker is cool aesthetically, but in practice for me it ends up just being square>square>spam triangle + the heat action where you make 2 guys hit each other. For single enemies there's no reason to really use it, with the extended rush combo thug is better for staggering and damage and slugger is better defensively and they both have easier heat opportunities.

I'm so glad this has happened.

End game the mooks come in packs of six and are reasonably challenging depending on your difficulty level.

Forgot 6 does this. But 6 sucks.

Haven't really noticed if there's any difference to the Triangle attack in accordance to the number of times we hit Square. So far, it's very mashy for me.

Gotta practice my bowling skills. It seems more random now. I had it down to a science in 5 but it's not consistent now. Ditto for the darts.

The random encounters just seem like a a big downgrade from 5, from trigger animations, enemy numbers and situations. In 0, feels like I can get stuck in a never-ending loop with the shakedown gangs - beat 1, there's another up ahead, turn around and the first is there again.

Bit of a random note but I wish more games could find a way to conciliate what happens in sub-quests with the main story. Was doing the story "date" with Majima and the girl asked to go the arcade and he kept acting as if he never heard of such a thing despite the fact that I already had the doll girl story done. Minor thing that always bugged me in these types of games.

Well they returned the drunkard fights that haven't appeared since 2 so you can have a drunken brawl in the Champion District after getting shitface drunk.

Also forgot to mention that when you unlock Kiryu's real estate side quest security guards patrolling the area will sometimes help out when you get in a fight. The encounters do resemble the early games more but that makes sense this being a prequel and all.

fug

i legitimately lost my shit when this happened in game

Mother of fuck Yakuza 5 is long.

Are doing all the side shit? Cause that's what makes it long.

...

A bunch of side quests, like some of the Another Drama stories. I kinda want to breeze through to the end though because I got a ton of games in my backlog like Yakuza 0 though.

Question!

I lost to the gambling king of the real estate story line. I was at 60% and dropped. It won't allow me to challenge him again. What do I do? The cat fight shit is utter horse shit since it is all luck based. Any help?

you can't redo the challenges, but you can recover the assets by just continuing buying properties and investing.

Didn't capture the whole scene because I fucked around with the share button half way through.

Just buy more property until you get to 90%. I lost to the Electronics King and got around it by taking everything and investing as much as I could.

Yeah what everyone says. You only lose 10% of shares so it'll either be a minor setback are a small leap ahead. Don't even worry about the challenges, you can get back those shares in an hour.

Any tips on the cabaret shit?

Just started the real estate business (man, what a cliffhanger on Majima's story!) and admittedly a bit confused by it all. Couple of dumb questions:
1 - Are the manager and security for a area or each individual property?
2 - Advisors specialize in areas but I don't get what the X, O or Triangles mean.

Also got completely served on the dance battles. Can't beat the chick; I got more steps and a longer combo but she still beats me by I huge margin.
And did one with Miracle Johnson. The game is merciful there and we're not supposed to beat that dance monster.

And on the combat side of things, still struggling with some inputs, particularly the dodge attacks and one for Kiryu which he attacks immediately after blocking or as a enemy attacks and we got the guard up. Inputs can be a bit finicky.

And finally did the pizza quest. Got shaken down for my sides.
Incidentally, still haven't done the first substory for either character which is kinda bugging me.

iirc square once+triangle spam is the spinning punches, twice is the aoe headspin and three times is the spin on your back which doesn't cover as much area as the headspin.

It's the entire area, and all you should worry about for security is their number of stars, the safety rating just reduces random encounters if you're running around in the area they patrol.
X is nothing, triangle is almost nothing, O is good the circle with another circle inside is the best.

Memorize the hand signals. Upside down longhorn means refill ice, okay signal means refill ladies glass, an L signal means refill guest glass, squeezing out a towel means towel obviously, and opening a menu means menu. The guests first reaction to a girl is based on their color coded skills which you can level up and whether they're sexy, beautiful, cute or funny.

fucking incredible

Thanks.

Didn't ask but this is good to know too.

Speaking of nearby NPCs, it bugs me there's no subtitles for what the hookers and waiters who approach us say.

Been binging on this game like there's no tomorrow. Like with Souls games, I tell myself I'm just going to do this one thing and put it down "but since I'm here" and there goes another hour.

I know the hookers for Kiryu call you Onii-can when you're a nobody, Saicho-san or Mr. President when you've made a name for yourself in the real estate money game and Kiryu-san when you've conquered all of the 5 Billionaire's territories. Not too sure about Majima, I think they just always call him Majima-san.

this is tougher than any of the story bosses so far

scratch that, i had a superalloy bat in my inventory and it made short work of his minions thinks the last hit on the bat combo has a wide range and knockdown and the fight was a lot easier after that

Tell me about it. I went in with nothing more than 2 pork cutlets thinking he'd be a push over like the others. I ended up spending 3 billion to get new moves for Kiryu and just abused the counter that does more damage the less heat you have.

and then those pricks send two more high health goons on you after you fight him too, but that wasn't as bad as i was expecting

the fucking real-estate sidequest as a whole has more shit in it than some full fucking games i've played, stuff like this is really solidifying this as what might be the best yakuza game (well its boss fights aren't as good as 2 yet)

also hope you brought lots of energy drinks for the fight with finance king those goons aren't very hard but they do insane fucking damage even through beast mode super armor

>beat finance king
>unlock DRAGON OF DOJIMA STYLE
oh shit

>IT INCLUDES THE GRAB COMBO ENDERS
NO ONE MAN SHOULD HAVE ALL THIS POWER

Speaking of grabs, I got a Brawler skill for Kiryu that's hitting Square on a grabbed enemy when there's 2 Heat bars but all I get is the basic pummel.

yeah its the pummel you get, on regular brawler you'd just push them down with square

where do you find the "dream girl" for mr libido in Kamurucho?

Earth Angel in the Champion District oddly enough. It awakes in him a new fetish.

haha figures, i was checking boring places thinking that was gonna be the trick, turns out mama-san had the answers yet again

why.

regarding hostesses yuki got kidnapped after i was given the option to challenge club venus, is there a way to find her and get her back before i start the challenge?

You can't get her back until you win that challenge against Club Venus.

aw gay, i was ready to smash some heads

If there's any consolation, you can't beat up the owner of Club Venus after you win the challenge

*can

I've been hoarding my plates thinking there'll be something like in 5 where you donate them to a specialized merchant. Is there such a thing or can I just pawn all that crap?

you make so much money from the real-estate and hostess side-stories i think you can just pawn off whatever you want
