WRPGs are just watered down imitations of Table Top RPGs -constantly trying to do things that just can't be achieved within the limitations of their medium- whereas JRPGs not only acknowledge their limitations, but embrace them and use them to their advantage to create a completely different kind game altogether. Something that cannot be done in any other medium.

Ignoring the fact that all JRPGs are have Ultima and Wizardry in their genetics, RPGs coming from Japan in the past decade or so actually tend to be more like actual RPGs compared to those coming from the west.
