This looks like garbage

This looks like garbage

Fucking faggot.
This is the new Wii Boxing, if the Switch somehow manages to get big I can see this being a hit at parties.

Well that was fast

The game looks super simple and barebones, it also screams "WE WANT THE SPLATOON AND POKKEN AUDIENCES"

Well, naturally Nintendo saw Splatoon being a big hit and decided to let smaller teams have a hand at creating new IPs. This is a GOOD thing, it means for every meh-tier, brainless fun kinda game like ARMS we might get a new Splatoon. Who knows how much new shit is in the works.

As for ARMS, I like it. I feel like this might be THE game they use to showcase the HD Rumbling tech.

...

Of course it looks like garbage.
Its nintendo

There is no justice.

I thought it might have had potential, but then I saw that it was all controlled by gestures and shit, and I realised that it was going to be shit.

I'm glad they're taking chances but I don't want to play it.

How many NES games could they have created with the same budget?

Like 20 or even a new Wave Race, Pilotwings or F-Zero.

user, face it. You aren't going to get non-sony console with shit ton of jrpgs after snes.

Who knows user, they need to find a way to make the game playable in handheld mode. The way we've seen it right now it only really works in tabletop or TV mode but I doubt they'd ship a game that doesn't work with the most important mode.

It'd be really fucking stupid to release a Switch game you can't take on the go.

I agree, but it's better that they take risks by creating new content instead of remaining stagnant, which is a big thing killing them right now.

They'll probably just cap it at 30fps in handheld mode+low res. saves power and all that.

would look a lot more fun if it was faster

That still leaves the problem of how the fuck are you going to hold the console if you need to chimp out with your arms to play.

You're trying way too hard to fit in here.

m8 i dunno fucking button presses or something

STANDU
would be fun as a pack-in title, but they won't do that

I can see idiots playing too close to people & objects hitting each other & breaking shit just like when the Wii first came out. Except now it's portable so you can go break shit & punch people anywhere.

How come?

The treehouse stream said you can play without motion stuff and just use buttons.

That's amazing, then.

The JoyCons don't look nearly as heavy or as sturdy as the Wiimotes were, so I doubt that'll be an issue. But retards are always going to be retards, that's why Nintendo is including the wrist straps with the system. Also to mitigate the problem of how fucking tiny the Joycons are.

EVO bound, next Smash Bros. killer.

This SHOULD have been the pack-in title to show off the Switch' capabilities. Are they even going to have a pack in title this gen? 1 2 Switch looks like fucking garbage, this on the other hand looks fun.

The things that could make me buy this is inclusion of sexy outfits/lolis and nipples.

The treehouse stream is a fucking disaster twitch version is running at 5FPS and youtube stream keeps crashing.

There is a loli she pilots a mech.

I just realized this reminds me of fucking Power Stone

Really? Power Stone is more like 3D Smash Brothers.

It's just shovelware made to bloat the release library

Nice SFA3 Karin rip-off.

Looks stupid, but I'm cautiously optimistic that the gameplay will be fun.

I can't imagine that game is going to control the way they are trying to portray it. No fucking way. This looks like Wii shovel-ware garbage.

It's just a glorified tech demo, this shit will probably have less than 15 characters and will get boring after 20 minutes.

So many kids are going to get their jaws broken.

Nintendo should just go into movies at this point, their commercials look more entertaining than the products being advertised.

Why are there 2 nintendo threads.
Kill yasself

So no one's ever going to use the fuckin motion controls other than for the first 45 seconds they play the game. Got it.

Shit looks fun if you can turn off the gesture control bullshit. Looks like a game I'd imagine to find on a Dreamcast 2. More of this pls. Even if it turns out to be not good it's a step in a better direction.

Looks interesting, but since online is paid I see no reason to get this. It isn't like a fighting game where I could still have a lot of fun playing arcade mode.

Burn in hell.

I don't know why but this reminded me of that rad frisbee game on arcade where each character had its superpower.
What was the name of that game again ?

Yup, that means it's a good game, alright.

While he's burning in hell you'll be here complaining about gifs like a sperg forever.

I hope there's a wide variety in the character moveset and there's at least a tacked on single player where you punch through waves of grunts and fight bosses. And that it is competitively balanced without any op characters or tactics.

If you were the director on this, how would you change it?

It's more along the lines of the character designs and combat style involving blocks and dodge rolls being similar.

Ribbon girl a slut

I love how we can get porn of a new character in under 24 hours now

Where did all these sonyggers come from?

Didn't even get the eyes right.

Better Ribbon Girl!
It already started.

Well at least the Switch will provide some entertainment then.

Oopsie Daisy

that usually means it has replay value if you have friends

so no replay value

It looks a bit like Virtual-On to me with how it controls, I'm definitely ok with that. It looks like a simple fun game, not really anything spectacular, but its trying something new and I totally support that.

I think that's Wind Jammers, that's a good one.

Autism

...

The game does not look simple or barebones. The feel I get from it is far more Punch Out + Eighting, to the degree I wonder if they sniped a few of Namco's employees for their new teams. It's pretty much everything I've ever wanted out of a fighting game, maybe minus the stretchy arms.
I don't actually know yet.

If they pack it in a reasonable cost console package I might have to rethink my current stance.

I'm not sure if I like the arms or not. From what I see so far
assuming it is as accurate as it looks to be
The weird aesthetic they're using now could actually be excellent if it went the way of 'superhero city', I'd dig it at least.

Thank the lord up in heaven finally, at least options to forego cancerous motion controls.

Except it looks super simple? Just a flat arena with two characters spamming stretchy arm attacks?

Fighting games are super simple.

The issue is that most of the games don't seem to have mass appeal.
There was no new pokemon or monster hunter announced which either would have meant the system would have sold millions but instead games that a lot of casuals don't care about.

Not only casuals but most core audiences aside from Nintendrones also don't care about this. This truly has been one of the most lackluster console announcements i've ever seen.

better game inc

From 2007. When Nintendo went casual tier and its downhill slide was further verified by online Smash.

PUNCH OUT IS FUCKING DEAD ALREADY?

do those little controllers have wrist straps, or are we looking at more impaled tvs and broken ming vases?

Yes they have wrist straps

yes, and yes

Yep. They slide on the side, like how the joycons connect to the TV.
I bet they have to do it because of some legal reasons, so that when some tard nunchucks his joycon at his television Nintendo can say the legal equivalent of "But you didn't use the strap :^)" and not get sued.

No, they did it because the Wii remotes had it. These are just new models of Wii remotes. You're trying way too hard to read into things.

I'm just worried that it's going to end up like wii boxing, and even though I can punch really hard, really fast. The fact that I am punching fast will cause me to do like no damage despite denting sandbags at the gym

paid Nintendo shills have evolved into perverts
