>>116894084Knockout!So that was it, did you like it?What was your favorite boss battle or stage?Your favorite clip of some You-tuber who can't git gud?
I wish the show looked more like this, I'm not expecting animation on par with the games but the style in the Cuphead literary material looks more organic

>>116894126The comic was fun, makes me look forward to the series.youtube.com/watch?v=uCcKjRRaHocThis is probably my favorite tuber vid for Cuphead. The fact that they keep it going and escalate the whole situation until he clips through the cylinder is just perfect.
so wally warbles, the phantom express and the devil don't show up in any of the stories

>>116894826We still have a cartoon show, another Jr novel, and a second comic for them to show up

Can't believe that my eyes went over this thread, god bless your soul OP

>>116894419The hysterics at the end was the perfect punchline.

>>116894826I could see the Wally Warbles and son dynamic like a Spike and Tyke sort of thing>Wally tries to teach Willy to fly the old fashioned way with his wings>Willy would rather use his gadgets and gizmos to fly, much to his father's chagrin>Willy probably bullies Cuphead and Mugman too and thinks he's better than them>probably gets into a flying race with them and their planes, sets up traps that backfire on him
>>116896293>>116893439that's a different actor, Sally's husband has a different hairstyle, nose, and mustache, he's a whole lot leaner and has a longer, thinner face compared to the guy in the comic

That was cute. Not exactly funny, mostly so fun. The writing's bland and milquetoast-y but in a way that feels genuinely like most of the comics in the 1930s, whereas the art feels a touch too modern but is absolutely amazing. I'd buy this for the art alone
Logan Powell
>>116897233It has a fast pace, it's like Archie where story is just to set up the gag and pun.
Robert Hughes
>>116897365Yeah but the gags aren't that strong, it's stuff you feel would be funnier if animated because the animation in itself would be fun.Not saying it's bad, just I come out of it much the same as I come out of, as you say, Archie, although the example I was thinking more of was stuff like Dell Comics' Four Color stuff- I read this stuff and in the end feel "well the writing wasn't interesting but the art was great". It gives me the feeling of being written trying to match Mickey Mouse shorts or something rather than newspaper comics, which generally had better gags and jokes.
Bentley Cox
It was adorable to see Cala Maria and the boys work together. Best boss gets the best story in the whole thing.
Landon Harris
>let's make a comic based on a game that looks like an animated cartoon
>>116897415Fits perfectly and you can tell in the art, the random one-page stories, the random page going "how to draw this character" etc that they were trying to specifically make this feel like an old licensed comic based on the non-existent Cuphead cartoons
>>116894126So far it's Game>>>>>Comic>>Show, I'm enjoying the art and the setting but there's barely anything funny or interesting so far, it feels like a decent newspaper comic at best. Like some anons said the art looks way more organic and pleasing here compared to being in motion.
