I used it on my laptop for a little while and its honestly not a bad OS, its the fucking spyware up the ass that's the problem. Tried using Windows 10, unpozzing it was a pain in the ass involving a lot of busywork but wasn't hard by any means. What is unforgivable however is it killed my audio devices and failed to recognize my GPU. I eventually found a way to fix the GPU issue but that solution which I only arrived at after two days of troubleshooting did not work on win10, which is why I'm back on 8.1 typing this. I even tried multiple times going back and forth between fresh installs of 8.1 and 10 to figure out if it was just a fluke but no, win10 would not recognize a GPU from two years ago even after I reflashes its bios.

That and its consistent failures over multiple installs to switch between or recognize audio devices clearly signals basic system stability in win10 is shot to shit.

There is, MS put out guides for corporations and the military to disable the telemetry and cortana shit. However it can only be done on the Enterprise version of the OS, so you either have to get a copy from a guy in the IT dept of where you work, dowload an evaluation ISO from MS themselves, or torrent a copy. Then you have to patch it so it can run as "registered'.

After that you have to follow the guides that I mentioned above in disabling the built in apps, cortana, and telemetry. The Defense Department issued the same guides that even goes further in locking down the OS, as they are upgrading all the administrative PC's to W10.

There's also a powershell script that does the same thing made by a SysAdmin when deploying this OS to computers. The funny thing is after disabling it, you'd have to follow the same steps in removing certain task schedulers that were installed on the telemetry update for W7/8.

Tried Win 10 out. Explorer.exe keeps crashing, generally when anything goes wrong with an application. Anything that runs on full-screen tends to fuck things up and re-position all of my other windows.
