First for Heretech best character. I hope he doesn't die. I also want a toy. Which is strange because he is rather fat and simple looking but I really like it somehow. It's so different from usual bot designs. Thanks for dumping, OP! My issue wasn't available yet since they comic shop guys were still busy unpacking when I went there.

>>116882487Yeah I thought something similar. Well depending on what this twist actually mean it could be cool, but I don't know right now. Too many question I have. Like why they returned to Cybertron for example. Where were they heading to before and why? And why can they wipe out Cybertronian life now or think they can, but not before?

You know what could be an interesting twist? If Accelerator was the true mastermind behind the scheme, with Heretech acting as a mere figurehead.

>>116882612>tfw you are a Karen>tfw you are also the managerSentinel Prime suffers.

>>116882691>If Accelerator was the true mastermind behind the scheme, with Heretech acting as a mere figurehead. Now that you say this it would have been cool if the relation between IDW1 Sentinel and Senator Proteus had been a twist instead of common knowledge. I mean he is a Prime and some intimidating guy so of course would everybody expect him to be the ruler. And Proteus played the role of the nice guy that is holding Sentinel back and feels sorry for Decepticons when in reality he was the true dictator and Sentinel just his right hand.

>>116882691>girl power for the protags>girl power for the POV>girl power for the antag tooPlease no

>>116882694I hope he will finally escape his pre-destined death this time. He is one of those characters that have a lot of potential for growth being thrown out of their comfort zone and losing everything he sacrificed his life for. I wonder how he would develope if he ended up as nobody while Megatron seizes power after winning the elections and the opposition choosing Orion as the new Prime.

>>116882783Why not?

>>116883014It's cheap pandering and it's gay, and I want more stuff about this rare IDW1 character than more rando/OC fembots being shoved in my faceAll of what's happened and will happen can be forgiven if the writing was at least good. But so far, it has yet to be forgiven.

>>116882357Some minor nitpick, but it will never be not come off as dumb to me having Gauge beating up grown-up robots that have most likely participated in a world war.

>>116882447What is his plan?I wonder if he has some superpower we didn't know about before. >>116883320I wish we would see more about Heretech because I cannot imagine him leading this whole thing alone. If he did it would make all other bots pretty damn stupid since I cannot imagine a whole ship of them and nobody ever asking questions or wanting to lead themselves or be space pope's assistant.

>>116883356>doesn't want female pastorsgay

>>116883356The virgin cucktholic fears the mormon chad

>>116883431The Primal Scriptures say not to. You can have priestesses in your pagan polytheistic religions, e.g. Guiding Hand cucksActually liked the Guiding Hand>>116883443>implying that I like the penance works-based righteousness of Rome and Heretech's denomination (and now Prots ironically enough)>tfw Mormons are polytheistic too, so technically they're allowed to have priestesses or whatever if they want

Wait fuck, the next issue is already the last one of that arc isn't it?I cannot imagine this developing well. The Cliffjumper story felt longer and more wholesome already and it was only two issues, not three. And yet it wrapped everything up, dealt with Cliffjumpers past and developed him properly till he reached his goal, introduced a whole new planet and its people and even showed a bit of their culture. All of this plus everything Deathsaurus and cool action scenes in two volumes.I think the idea behind the current arc is really nice, but I assume the author is usually not writing comics because the pacing and narrative style fails to convey the story properly and fucks with the timing.

>>116883518Good for the priestesses, since Guiding Hand was the true religion as Primal Prophecies were written by Adaptus' goons and the Cult of the Thirteen was created by Shockwave

>>116883933I was NOT a fan of the stuff in the spoiler. The Thirteen COULD have been neat, but IDW ended short and blah blah. I don't think even all of the Primes are accounted for but uh, I suppose they can be presumed dead, especially if the colonists never met them and if you assume they failed to get off-planet around Unicron time...The MTMTE/LL twist was kinda nice, esp "God was with you all along, cared for you, suffered the same things as you" (for the sake of my sanity, let's ignore the part where he's a flawed individual like the rest of us) but uh... wait. We still don't know what Vector Sigma is, what one splitting into five is, and why Rung has a serial number; this and the afterspark leaves room open for some god that loves robots and stinky organics, so that's kinda nice.>Guiding Hand was the true religionEmbrace monotheism, fren>inb4 monotheists who also claim that the Matrix is symbolicI pray that Prime excommunicates these heretics

>>116884035Logic dictates the most likely origin of IDW Cybertron was indeed naturally occurring gears, levers and pulleys

So who the fuck is Paragon? Is that a completely new OC? I don't remember this name ever appearing before.

>>116884189This is the only pic of gears that's a proper response to the gears and pulleys theory>sparks are mysterious balls of sentient energy naturally created by a naturally-created computer housed in the center of the planetOk faithlet

>>116884189Nah, it was a mold inside death planet so I headcanon it must have been some superaliens like in G1 and such.

>>116884237I am currently re-reading the comics and noticed Gears enjoying getting splashed wet with the hose. Now you might have expected some cool insight and secret hints I spotted when I started the post with "I am currently re-reading" but I just wanted to talk about this right now. I felt like it must be said. I think this is important.

>>116884353>Now you might have expected some cool insight and secret hints I spotted when I started the post with "I am currently re-reading" but I just wanted to talk about this right now. I felt like it must be said. I think this is important.Nah man, this is just short of a divine revelation, someone must REALLY like Gears in IDW. A part of me hopes for some sort of spotlight on him, another part of me think that'd ruin him and it'd just be better for him to be a periodic extra throughout the continuity, experiencing a wordless series of mishaps, partially due to incompetence and partially due to sheer bad luck

Attached: Gears rescued.png (495x523, 587.64K)

>>116884410>someone must REALLY like Gears in IDWIt's probably Ruckley, he seems to love quirkiness a lot, people just don't appreachiate it as much because he tends to hide it in the background or casual dialogues, so his writing of characters isn't too different from Roberts' but stealthier.I like the Gears getting lost trope a lot too. I was happy it continued happening in the main series as well, so that points at Ruckley again since the first time it had happened it was in the Valentine's issue. Or maybe Sara and him discussed this before and agreed to implement it.

Attached: 2425.png (786x571, 710.54K)

>>116884696>people just don't appreachiate it as much because he tends to hide it in the background or casual dialoguesI require additional proofs and examples>his writing of characters isn't too different from Roberts' but stealthier.>comparing person to person I like so I like them tooAs long as it's less xD quirky and not progressively similar-note like Roberts became, I'm fine*he and SaraI presume Gears is one of the bots sorta picked to survive until at least the war and Earth stuff, that's kinda nice. Wanted more attention to background randos like Huffer, Gears, Inferno, Xaaron, etc. in MTMTE. Naively hoped that LL25 that promised an ending for the whole crew would have at least a page or two with packed panels depicting Inferno and Red Alert opening a clinic, Huffer and Xaaron attending church, etc. rando stuff just to show that everyone was doin alrightSpeaking of randos,>>116882357isn't that the green Autobot Constructicon

>>116885115>I require additional proofs and examplesI wanted to actually list a bunch of things like Froid's weird hand gestures and emergency responders needing counselling after rescuing a pissed Prowl and these things but then I remembered Gear related stuff and had to post that instead. Pic related. I just love how he stumbles over Rubble's device and chills in chair(?) mode. Maybe he only half-transforms and it's comfy? Not sure how he did this. I hope #23 will show more Gears things.

>>116882487Given his religious views, I don't think Heretech would accept any planet besides Cybertron. In fact, someone on Cybertron should have probably found their whole "exodus" suspicious, but I guess they have bigger problems.

>>116886185Makes sense. They preached something about Primus being Cybertron, Cybertronians being Primus and "Primus/Cybertron being reborn soon" in one of the early issues. So their beliefs seem to be tied to the planet itself, especially considering that whole 'disintegrating and merging with the planet' thing going on that happens with bots like Orion's mentor I think.

>>116882783I'd be better than "The men are EVIL!"

>>116886420Not him but you have a point. The weird absense of guys save for the villain and the randos that get punched in the face by the mains is a bit suspicious to me. Makes me wonder what her other stories are about. Would be cool of Heretech himself was brainwashed or something which would even explain the different behavior he displays now vs as Senator.

>>116885993>Froid's weird hand gesturesHuh>emergency responders needing counselling after rescuing a pissed ProwlI vaguely recall this, haha>chills in chair(?) modeAhahahahaI wish Gears had a wordless cameo in every issue throughout the continuity>>116886420It's just one step removed from that. TLDR, Arcee is a karen now?

>>116886632>>Froid's weird hand gestures>HuhYou know I feel like other people noticed this. Because I didn't have the comic at hand (or only physically at least) so I just googled "idw2 froid hands" and found pic related edit.

Seems kind of neurotic and sycophantic. Hopefully not a full-on villain, but someone who's a bit quirky and likable, sorta

>>116886705Yes, and Sentinel (male).

>>116886863Froid is clearly meant to be quirky in this continuity I think with him fanboying about Nautica too and such. He also made those gestures when he was worried and alone too so it's not the disney-villain gesturing but more of a quirky thing like Smokescreen's sispicious smiles and hand signs.IIRC Ruckley has said that Froid was his favorite bot design, so I expect him to last and be a good guy this time.

Is that green bot with Arcee Springer? I'm not liking this art or the designs at all.

>>116887862>Uhhhh he prys a lot and is somewhat fixated on crazies, some of which are meanWell Rung did the same back then. And Froid is successfully re-integrating bots into society save for four cases we don't know much about other than that one of being Quake and the other one Pyra Magna.

Attached: 925752362.png (451x264, 199.67K)

>>116888077Maybe Pyra Magna is good this time?

>>116888727I doubt it. First of all see the earlier post. And Quake is a murderer. Secondly Sentinel refuses to let her out of jail even in a situation as dire as it is right now because she is that much of a war criminal. And thirdly she murdered Cyclonus' lover or whatever Paragon is and it was "unnecessary". I assume she wreaked havoc at the end of the war and killed everybody she assumed to be influenced by Exarchon or standing nearby or whatever. Maybe she was the one causing that crater that became the war memorial Cyclonus always vitis.

>>116887440This is not Springer, she is Greenlight

Heretech is a big doodoo.

>>116889544I think people are hesitant to use him because they're not sure what to do with him after the whole God business.I mean, has any writer ever expressed interest in using him in anything?

>>116892487They could always just make Rung an avatar of Primus rather then actually fully being Primus

>>116892487>Rung is PrimusThat was the dumbest reveal ever. And there the fact that he dies afterwards. Not only that, his existence is wiped from memory which make the reveal in universe pointless because again, who's gonna remember it. Hell, Lost Light was nothing be lame revels after lame reveals'.

>>116894569oh alpha q up alright

>>116893133The whole suicide clinic reveal was unbelievably underwhelming and disappointing. No one I knew took it well and the threads sure didn't when the issue came out.

>>116893811>I sometimes wonder if the reveal and all that happened in the end would have been better or worse if Roberts had gotten the ~50 LL issues he planned for.It would've been the same. Mind you, he got a year warning in advance and rather choose which main plot threads to follow he decides to rapidly go through all of them with not time to breath. It wouldn't have felt so rush if he hadn't felt the need introduce character and concepts that noone cared about.
