Plenty of Frozen related news todayNew article with a LOT of Tech stuff:archive.is/zRQFGhttps://vimeo.com/445638768>Water simulation>Destruction FX>Spirits' design an animationAnd moreNew summary of Frozen 2 Dangerous Secrets:archive.is/yZqVI>Sixteen-year-old Iduna harbors a dark secret. On the surface, she is an Arendellian village girl, an aspiring inventor, and the best friend of Prince Agnarr, but she is also secretly Northuldra.>Ever since the day the forest fell, Arendellians have despised and distrusted Northuldra with a vengeance. No matter that the Northuldra—along with some of Arendelle’s own—have been trapped in the Enchanted Forest behind an impenetrable wall of mist since the day of the battle.>Iduna doesn’t know why the mist refuses to part, or why it descended to begin with. The only clear thing is that she must keep her identity from everyone, even Agnarr. Her life depends on it.>Fortunately for her, Agnarr doesn’t know that Iduna is the Northuldra girl he saw seemingly flying on a gust of wind all those years ago, the day of the celebration turned disaster. The day Agnarr lost his father, the king. The day Agnarr himself almost died.>What Agnarr does know is that Iduna is a true ally in the face of his royal responsibilities and the expectations of an overbearing council and a well-meaning regent who will rule in Agnarr’s place until he turns twenty-one and assumes the Arendellian throne.>As Iduna and Agnarr grow ever closer, however, friendship is no longer enough. If only falling for each other didn’t mean risking their futures: Iduna’s as a hidden-in-plain-sight citizen of Arendelle, and Agnarr’s as imminent king.>But for a chance at true love, the risk might be worth taking. And Europe is getting even more books (Pic related)Now they're releasing more detailed versions of some already published ones and, furthermore, it seems that the whole series will consist of a total of 12 books

>>116871848>That SummarySo it's confirmed they would kill her if they knew she is Northuldra, that's pretty dark for a Frozen novel

>>116872281To be fair the Northuldra killed based King Runeard.

>>116872268>3 have the Frozen Fever subtitle>4 have the Northern Lights subtitleKind of funny that the LEGO special got more books about it than the actual short

>>116872281It's pretty scary. Queen Iduna lived in terror her whole life, hiding in plain sight in a town that wanted her dead. Really looking forward to the book.

Attached: EdxTwEiUEAAxz9D.png (800x1163, 1009.33K)

>>116872328No, user, you're looking at this wrong.Northern Lights was like a sub-franchise of Frozen, which included novels, story books AND the Lego short. Is not that the books exist because of the short, in fact the short has a very different plot from the books.

>>116872328A couple books show her in the Frozen Fever dress, yet don't have the subtitle. And the "Magie des Aurores Boréales" subtitle appears in two different fonts, like they didn't quite have the design finalised before publishing. It's more than just the short, too. It's kind of funny, like they didn't actually have this book series planned out, but they kept going anyway.

>>116872142>>116872152Beautiful

>>116872439I didn't think the novel was that good, it starts promising but then most of the story centers around a little troll, who funnily enough was completely omitted from the short.Read the adventure notebook if you want to experience the story with cute doodles and commentary from Anna and Elsa. user shared the scan a long time ago so it has to be in the pastebin.

>>116872354And she let her daughters suffer because of it, I have no sympathy for her.But yes, I'm very hyped for that book.

>>116872197>None have been very revealing at allI'm sure that's just a symptom of the movie itself not being figured out until very late. If you look at the list here, >>116872268 nearly all of the books are set after the first movie, starting from the very first one. Yet the current series has barely moved past Frozen 2 at all. Somewhere in the pipeline, the story is just stuck.

To whoever called out some posts in the last thread and said Holla Forumsmblr,All I want to say is based and redpilled.

>>116871848>they rigged the fucking wave and then had to do some fuckery with an air field to get the water to simulate accordingly and follow the rig.I can kind of guess why they did it but I'm still bewildered

>>116872786Yes, that was quite the revelation.I imagine they really needed that giant wave under control and plain simulation wasn't gonna cut it.

>>116872735>Yet the current series has barely moved past Frozen 2 at all. That's going to be a problem for tie in and supplementary works, eventually. I mean in theory they can just keep filling out the timeskip between Frozen 1 and 2 but at some point following up on F2 would be preferable

>>116872786The part about Nokk is really cool, too.I thought it was just a nice shader but it turns out they're actual particles made to behave as fluid with vectors pushing them.

>>116871848>the material for the salamander had two variants with a spicy (on fire) and a non-spicy versionIt’s hilarious to me that they just use “spicy” in the middle of all that technical jargon

>>116872085>I guess they used a different model for the scene where the dam breaks>article: No, you idiot, the entire dam was built piece by piece to be breakable and it had to look good from every distance because we also have shots with people running across the damn thingOk, I'm a little surprised by how unnecessarily complicated and cool that is

>When writing Dangerous Secrets, I had this Elsa doll sitting on my desk. I used her as my Iduna stand-in, since they haven’t made any dolls of Iduna when she was young. (THOUGH THEY SHOULD!!) I like to imagine this is what young Iduna looked like (albeit with darker hair and no gloves) when she was first falling for Agnarr…

Attached: 4d67d36e80ce93d825946a000d2feafce4d09063.jpg (3024x4032, 2.72M)

>>116871848Based on the summary it looks like they're skipping a good chunk of the story because it starts with Iduna being 16.I hope they at least tell us how is it that she rebuilt her life in Arendelle right after she escaped from the forest.

>>116872830I’m hoping their first priority is figuring out the post F2 world and characters. I don’t know how many of the production rumors are true, but they definitely rushed the ending, and there’s a lot that needs to be answered and decided on. I still suspect that spirit Elsa wasn’t supposed to be a thing, and now they don’t know what to do with her personality, preventing even an “Elsa visits Arendelle” story. They’re not ready to commit to anything that moves the story forward. They gave the ok for some content that features F2 imagery, but it’s just to buy time. That’s probably why they allowed covid to mess with their releases, since this stuff is nothing new. They’ve got to have big plans for post-movie content. All they have to do is figure out what the hell Elsa is and what she does.

I can't wait to read the chapter where Iduna realizes she has to come clean to Agnarr about her past because if she doesn't, Elsa and Anna will suffer for potentially their entire lives. And then decides "Fuck it, why should I inconvenience myself for those little shits?"

>>116873199I expect that to happen at least 5 times, given she doesn't tell Agnarr the full truth until they are about to get Nokk'd

>>116873199There was an excerpt of the first chapter posted, and it shows that Iduna doesn’t confess until already they’re on the boat and literally about to drown. Elsa is 18 at this point. That’s years of suffering already, and it wasn’t enough for her to speak up.

>>116873281>>116873325Why are they releasing a book about such an awful person?

So, do we think this was always the intended backstory for Iduna (at least as far as Frozen II goes because there's no way they had this shit in mind during Frozen), or is Mari Mancusi, like we have been ever since November, just coming up with random shit and trying to fill in the blanks of "Why did this bitch never tell her family about her past? Would've been fairly vital information."?

Make a series already

>>116874138I want to believe it was intended from the start of Frozen 2’s process. I don’t know much about the origins of the “Iduna was secretly Northuldra” plot point, perhaps other anons do.I’m sure she had some oversight while writing it, but I don’t know how much. It’s totally made up, but since it’s approved to some degree, it becomes the new canon unless the book is obviously contradictory.

>>116874138>>116874253It might be a fun exercise (well, fun for me because I’m obsessed) to find the earliest possible moment the idea could have been planned. I know that for years after the first movie, little story bits like Iduna “visiting her relatives” would make it impossible.

>>116874138It first showed up in the Broadway play where Iduna was a former member of the Hidden Folk, who were Brodway's version of the trolls.

>>116874253>I don’t know much about the origins of the “Iduna was secretly Northuldra” plot pointThey started toying with that idea with the Broadway musical. Instead of Northuldra, it was a tribe called the Hidden Folk. Iduna was secretly a member of that tribe and that was somehow related to Elsa having magic powers.

>>116874326Oh, and forgot to add they were also the replacement for the Trolls in the story.

>>116874308>>116874326That’s cool, I didn’t know the plays were allowed to deviate from the movie so much, I just assumed they were completely faithful adaptations.I would personally place them pretty low on the canon ladder, but I guess somebody liked that detail enough to integrate it into the movies.

>>116874239That would be a dream come trueI’m currently willing myself to believe that Disney wants to, but is currently unable due to coronavirus

>>116874376Jennifer Lee, the writer of Frozen and Frozen 2, is credited as writing the "book" for the musical.I know almost nothing about musicals and theater, so I don't know if "book" is the same as "script".If that's the case then it was an idea she evolved over time and prototyped with the musical.

>>116874400Would the series even be made in the US? It seems like all the books, comics, magazines etc. are actually written overseas first.Hey, maybe we’ll get a Frozen series in French. Wouldn’t that be funny?

>>116874436As a former theater geek, I can confirm that book = script. It’s the connective tissue of a musical. Note that this excludes the actual songs, but it still creates the scenes that lead into the songs, as well as writing all the spoken dialogue, so she certainly read the songs and understood their place in the narrative. If Lee wrote the book, then the idea was definitely at least partially hers to begin with.

>>116874535>If Lee wrote the book, then the idea was definitely at least partially hers to begin withNot necessarily, she could have just been handed the “Iduna is Hidden Folk Song” written entirely by someone else....

>>116874571Even if that’s the case, then she still did work on connecting that idea to the main story, and whoever wrote it in the first place was her coworker who was making the musical with her together, it’s not like she stole the idea if that’s what you’re implying.

>>116874326I would have preferred Hidden Folk instead of Northuldra. Northulra are just the standard "closer to nature, vaguely magical natives" that have been used a hundred times before. Hidden Folk were at least a slightly more interesting idea, especially since Icelandic and Faroese folklore refers to elves as "Hidden People."

>>116874308>>116874326>>116874436>>116874535Ah, that's right, I heard about that change in the play. However, that doesn't necessarily mean it was intended from the get-go for Frozen II. Also, either way that doesn't really answer the "why did Iduna never share her past" thing.

>>116874640Iduna being some kind of elf would be quite neat. Instead of their offsprings being half-elves, Elsa got their Ice powers.

>>116874690en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huldufólk>Huldufólk[a] or hidden people are elves in Icelandic and Faroese folklore.[1][2] They are supernatural beings that live in nature. They look and behave similarly to humans, but live in a parallel world.[3] They can make themselves visible at will.[4]Iduna being an elf of some kind and the sisters traveling into a parallel world on some adventure already sounds better than what we got.

>>116874850Yes, but my question wasn't about her being Northuldra, it was specifically about why she never told Agnarr/Elsa/Anna she was Northuldra, and was "Arendelle hates the Northuldra and Iduna was scared" always the intended reason, or is the book just making shit up to fill in the gaps?

>>116874308>>116874339Oh good since the trolls are gone they took out the worst...>Fixer Upper is still in the musicalWhy?

>>116874930>or is the book just making shit up to fill in the gapsWell, ITU documentary clearly gives us the idea they have no big planning regarding Frozen. Perhaps one of the comments after the first public screening showed interest on how Agnar and Iduna fell in love.Paying a writter to write a book sounds like the cheapest option instead of shorts, a tv series or comic book.

>>116874930>>116875036Watch the deleted scenes, they say the Northuldra language was forbidden, so they were at least thinking about integrating hate for the Northuldra during the making of the film

>>116875348No, in the interview with the directors right before that deleted scene plays they say Sorensen was an earlier version of Mattias

>>116875138I wonder at what point, and the reasoning behind it, that Jen (and friends) had the "Elsa and Anna discover dark secrets about their mother's past" plot going in full swing, then sat down and came to the decision: "Anna does not get to be part of this story any longer. From now on, this is an Elsa-only plot. Change everything and cut out the spare." Because goddamn them.

My sister and I figured out how to fix Kristoff after looking at the recent thread that discussed the problem with him.He should have been a troll-wrangler. The people of Arendelle could have gone to the trolls to stay while the city is indisposed. Kristoff could have stayed with them to make sure they were taken care of and that the trolls minimized their offensiveness. Madcap comedy ensues. They could have helped him with a traditional troll proposal or something else from their culture. Even if he didn't go with their traditions, it would be nice to see him getting romance help from, you know, the LOVE EXPERTS he bragged about so much in the first one. This could have even enabled them to keep "Get This Right" as Kristoff tries to decide what to do while the trolls blurt suggestions at him. Then Kristoff would have something to do in this movie, instead of being abandoned and forgotten.

>>116875811Not a bad idea, user.I really dislike the Trolls but I understand keeping Kristoff in Arendelle means the trolls are going to have a bigger presence in the film.Still, I can see it working fine, and keeping "Get this right" would have been great.

>>116875393Probably when they decided to make Anna queen, because then they had to make up a bunch of magic bullshit to make Elsa leave.Honestly, I think it would have been a better movie if it had just been about discovering the dark secrets of Arendelle, the Northuldra, Runeard's true nature, and Iduna's past. There was no need for Ahtohallan and the Fifth Spirit nonsense on top of that. It should have been about dark family secrets, not weird magical destinies. That way both sisters can be equally important.

>>116873604The books confirm Corona is a distant neighbor of Arendelle, so at least someone HAD powers other than her.

>>116875811You could even use it as a way to increase the urgency in the plot. Start out with wacky troll hijinks but slowly become more and more serious as the movie goes on. These people had their home trashed and lost all their fire and water. People are going to start dying if the sisters take too long.

>>116874948Lee claims "Fixer Upper" is foreshadowing. Bitch, you don't drop important shit in songs. Songs are hard enough to understand in the first place.

>>116875811I would rather if Kristoff stayed behind to watch the Arendellians after the Frohana (without Arendelle) go visit the trolls to ask what shit is going down.It was a dumb mistake to bring the trolls down in front of the ordinary citizens. It was sheer desperate retardation to make the trolls babysit the humans. Really? They couldn't get Kai, Gerda, and the rest of the castle staff to fulfill that role?

>>116875934The movie started going down the drain the second they decided to get rid of the secret room and make the adventure kick off with a voice only Elsa can hear.I wonder when “the voice” idea started? It became an obsession the writers never figured out, and the movie and all its characters suffered for it.

Does Anna even love Kristoff? She treats him like a platonic friend, not a romantic partner. They have no chemistry compared to a couple like Rapunzel and Eugene.

>>116878684I don’t want to start another witch hunt, but the earliest I’ve seen the Voice idea is in Jenn’s “Diary of a Snow Queen”...

>>116878723It's a running joke at this point. She's acted annoyed or angry at him far more than actually liking him. And both their kiss scenes are at the end of the movies, just shoved in to add "romance", so it feels more like checking off a box than a natural event in their relationship.I don't even ship Elsanna, and even I agree that she has far, far more romantic chemistry with her sister.

>>116878533Yeah, I liked the idea I saw earlier about Kristoff setting up a camp with blankets and food and showing his leadership. Then he would actually have value to Arendelle instead of just being the new Queen's boy toy.>Turns out that taking care of yourself in the wilderness also prepares you for taking care of others. Who knew?

>>116878876>>116878723His "my love is not fragile" line that all the girls gush about just sounded pathetic to me.He might as well have said "please step on me Anna, I'll never leave you, no matter how many times you abandon me in the woods".

>>116879110I don't know. I wish they had made her seem like a human with feelings, instead of a walking vanilla ice cream cone that fell down a hole and somehow became even blander.

>>116874376In Once Upon A Time, it was explained that Elsa was the niece of the Ice Queen, and elaborated upon this whole backstory for Elsa, her parents, etc etcIt didn't really explain "why Elsa has powers" but it did flesh out the characters alotAlso, psychopath Hans:youtube.com/watch?v=ypYybd0kJqU

>>116878876Sincerely, Anna's relationship with Kristoff still is an extended bounceback from Hans. She just wanted someone to love on the first movie while she needed to reconcile her potentially incestous relationship with Elsa. Hell, even Kristoff is more interesting as a character before the relationship.Eugene and Rapunzel has all the chemistry and they deserved a short showing their wedding. Kristoff and Anna does not

>>116882367Both

So, believe me or not, I had this dream last night (that felt fairly lengthy) of Anna and Elsa clearing out a mess of rocks and rubble, which I can only assume was meant to be Arendelle had it been hit by the wave at the end. Instead of any dialogue between the two of them, played over the scene, over and over, was Anna's "You're not coming home, are you?" and Elsa's "I want to be there when they do" from the deleted ending. And now I'm just depressed.

Who agrees that Elsa and Anna acted like a married couple in Frozen 2?

>>116883245What's worth rescuing from that scene is Elsa showing Anna the memory of Agnarr and Iduna saying how much they love and trust Anna.

>>116883214Is notable she doesn't mention the Northuldra at all. I like that because it would be insulting for them to "need" Elsa in any way. All they really needed was for the mist to disappear and the spirits to stop attacking, and Anna accomplished both of that.

>>116883245>my sister who needs me right nowAnna doesn't need her. She's ready to rule alone.

>>116883343Did you feel the Elsanna shipper influence during the bedroom scene in Frozen 2?

>>116883376It's more than an "influence" when every single animator, storyboarder, and writer ships it

>>116883319Just ignore the book where she completely shuts down without her sister's help.

>>116883450Am I crazy if I noticed the Elsanna influence? I hope I'm not a sicko.

>>116882996Then you can begin to dig deeper about why this bad movie is affecting your life so much that it's seeping into your dreams

>>116883450How did you come to the conclusion that the creators ship Elsanna?

>>116883536Simple reason: 3D animation is difficult. This one scene took the efforts of dozens of people, working hard for weeks, from many different positions in the company. The result is undeniably romantic. There's no other possibility other than it's intentional. There were a million ways to make it less suggestive, but they did none of them.

Attached: cuddle.webm (640x640, 2.18M)

>>116882132I think you found the one artstyle that doesn't make her look cute

>>116883615Could you give me an example of what they could have done? You mentioned there were ways to make it less suggestive.

>>116883615Also do you think the creators were pushing the bait hard during the beach reunion scene? I'd say that was when they were at their closest in the movie.

So, will Anna impregnate Elsa or will it be the other way around?

Attached: d813e7b7-7e50-416b-8bc9-a0fd32a16e7b.jpg (700x900, 75.27K)

>>116883721Elsa will impregnate Anna by shooting her snow inside of her.

>>116883343The same scene has Anna excited that Arendelle is destroyed, so I would say it is better left on the cutting room floor.

>>116883660>Anna could pay less attention to Elsa>Elsa could sit apart on the other pillow>Anna could not lovingly stroke her nose>Elsa could say "actually I'll sleep somewhere else"There's an infinite number of less romantic possibilities, and they went straight for bedtime cuddles

>>116883721Anna is the man in the relationship...but Elsa has the proven ability to create life. That's a tough question.

>>116883864I always got the impression from that scene that only the castle was destroyed, not all of Arendelle.

>>116883660I don't know where to start. Every single movement in the entire scene brings them closer together.

>>116883971Do you agree the beach reunion scene near the ending made it look like they're about to kiss.

>>116878684Doesn’t the voice appear in F1, when the fjord freezes? I don’t know when the idea came, but it was a great way to tie them together, in theory. It looks to me like one of those cases where a writer comes up with a great idea, and compromises the story to make it work.

>>116883214I actually wish they kept that. It admits that Elsa doesn’t have a full time job or even understand the need to be there. That way they don’t have to make something up to fill her time, and they can back out of it easily. She could decide she’s not urgently needed, or her being there and ready could initiate the next adventure. It would validate the separation, and allow her to return home, because she feels that her duties have been fulfilled for a while.

>Not gazing into your sister eyes longingly every day.

>>116885034I think I'd like it too.I much prefer an unsure Elsa who expresses a desire to learn her new role. All she knows is that the forest will teach her.Instead, what we got is a smugly superior Elsa who exudes this weird, unearned confidence, like she knows exactly what she's meant to do now, but she's not telling her dumb sister (or us).

Attached: notearsnow.png (1920x804, 1.18M)

>>116885034>It would validate the separationIt would also acknowledge it, instead of just WHAM! Queen Anna. WHAM! Elsa actually took the advice of some native girl she just met and moved into the forest for some reason. WHAM! The end, now go home.

>>116885122Yeah. I didn’t grasp just how permanent the separation was until hours after the movie ended. Even as Honey said “you belong here” I just thought “oh, that’s nice, I agree she should visit the forest sometimes”. When Anna left alone, I was sure Elsa would follow. Then the statue scene happened and my heart started sinking when I saw Elsa wasn’t there. I decided I must have missed something and rewatched the movie repeatedly in search of an explanation, but didn’t find one...I’ve been waiting for “game night this Friday” ever since.

It's supposed to be alluring, even though it isn't really possible.A lot of the pre-release blurbs had this idea of Elsa being a mythic character. I heard a strange moaning inside, which was especially weird because it sounded like two voices moaning and one of the voices sounded like Anna's, but I knew that was impossible, because no one was allowed in Elsa's room and Anna always does as she's told! So whatever I was hearing, I shrugged it off as I continued on to be a deceitful little harpy to my loving husband. God, I love it when I make my family suffer. Nothing turns me on faster. >>116888380No one over the age of 12 should have any desire to read that book unless you're autistic like we are.

>>116888885Oh my maybe?

>>116888879You could agrue that no one over 12 should care about any of this. Yet here we are.

>>116888879It’s just another YA book, literally the same audience as Twilight, and adults read that too when it got popular. Frozen is already popular, so it’s fine to read.

>>116888800Yeah, people are building it up way too much, dense novels don’t invigorate a fanbase. Few people cared when Forest of Shadows and other books came out, and there certainly wasn’t an explosion of fanart. And that was actually a new story!

>>116888573I don't really know where you are going with this user. but I'd be curious to find out

>>116889074> people are building it up way too muchFair. But given the dearth of english content coming out it's either hype this or doom post.. and hyping this makes me want to kill myself slightly less.

>>116889074I don’t care about The Fandom. It’s 352 pages long, sheds light on a previously unknown period of time, and sounds interesting to me personally. I’d buy it even if it sounded lame, just to encourage Disney to give us more novels.

>>116884850Then we hugged and our chests squished together in a delightful way that men will never, ever experience or even imagine.

>>116889184>sheds light on a previously unknown period of timewe sorta knew the actual events, but what I’m most interested in is just what the fuck was running through Iduna’s mind all those years...books do things that shorts can’t, and this one is going deep inside Iduna’s head

>>116889146I’m still holding onto hope that a short will be announced by November

>>116889309Hope never dies

>>116890050I like her design and her song a lot, I just think she's a shitty person.I still think she's an interesting character, which is why I'm hyped for the novel.

>>116890050>>116890096I didn't think Evan Rachel Wood was an appropriate voice for her. Don't get me wrong, Evan has a fantastic voice, but I expected Iduna to sound more fragile and brittle considering how much of a pushover she seemed to be in Frozen.I have a similar problem with Molly from Central Park. Nice voice, but it doesn't sound right coming from that character.

>>116890246F2 fully embracing battered housewife Idunna would have been interesting.

"Dangerous Secrets" writer made this for her daughter's birthday>My daughter asked for an Anna and Elsa ice cream cake for her birthday back in June! I’m definitely not a pro cake maker, but I was happy with how it came out! Would you eat the Anna side or the Elsa side first?

>>116890050Unconciously, the writers are making her worse and worse for the sake of keeping their asshole spirits as a "Benevolent" aspect of nature.I'll stick to my idea that Iduna forgot about her life during the enchanted forest the longer she lived outside of the mist. Remembering little bits and bits when she gave birth to Elsa.

>>116891147Nice, thanks for the effort.I was imagining Anna making a lewd “North Mountains” joke but this works too

>>116891067I'd imagine angering, since Anna really wants to hear from her parents again and Elsa is just hogging at least one of them for herself.

Is there any Elsanna moments in the new novel?

>>116891067Definitely the former. The top panel is from a comic where Elsa wants to go home and stop looking for memories of their mother, but Anna refuses to quit because it’s so important to her. Then the bottom panel is Elsa getting a message from their mother all to herself. It’s a clear image of how Frozen 2 delivered the right messages to the wrong people.

>>116891303No problem. The snowy mountains pun is found in the post itself, and in the fact that Elsa is so excited / embarrassed in the picture that it is snowing. Even her breasts are covered in snow. Here's a translation of the post:>The struggle of Elsa, who feels embarrassed, and Anna, who wants to hear her cute voice.>(First pic) (>>116888885)>Anna is working hard, climbing Elsa's snowy mountains.>Don't be ashamed, Elsa.>(Second pic) (>>116879578)>Anna climbed Elsa's snowy mountains last night.>She's checking on the marks of her ascent and feeling happy about it.

>>116890925Don't worry, Anna. We know you didn't give up. Your sister played a dirty trick and sent you sliding backwards to prevent you from getting your prize. The only thing you did wrong was trusting her. Not only that, but she had an unfair advantage, in the form of a voice that only she could hear, leading her right to it. Those memories were meant to be shared. It wasn't supposed to be a competition. But Elsa made it one. And the game was rigged in her favor from the start.Well, if it's a game Elsa wants, she'll get one. That painful experience wasn't for nothing. You've learned. The next time you uncover a lead to a precious memory...DON'T tell your sister.

>>116892063>>116891147Anna coaxing Elsa into not holding back her voice is one of my absolute favourite details

>>116892270

Attached: Anna-laughing.jpg (332x427, 21.85K)

>>116892270I for one was amazed by how explicit it was. The author really went out of their way on it.

>>116892251>The next time you uncover a lead to a precious memory...DON'T tell your sister. The worst part is, this is a completely valid reaction from Anna, but you just know that she'll be portrayed as selfish and wrong to hide anything from Elsa. Even though... you know... that's exactly what Elsa did first.

>>116892364>>116892251We’ve been over this, there’s absolutely no way Anna can ever hold any sort of advantage over Elsa or know a secret of any kind, it’s just not her role in the grand scheme of things The Frozen universe itself is built from the ground up to deliver everything straight to Elsa’s ears only, and Anna will always be a secondary character no matter how hard she tries

>>116892353I thought it was strange that they repeatedly emphasized that both girls were underage, and even stranger that Disney signed off on such a thing, but I guess they know their audience...

>>116892251>>116892364If any talent was allowed to exist among the writing crew, Frozen 3 would involve a mysterious voice calling to Anna claiming to be Iduna/Agnarr/both, which she decides to not inform Elsa about and goes on to find on her own. Of course it turns out to be a villainous force, and when she hears that Anna is now in danger, Elsa realizes it's all her fault for being a shitbag in F2.

>>116891761Is it a... vanilla ice cream sandwich?Does such a thing exist?

>>116892499It would be panned as a recycled plotline but I would love seeing it, if only for Anna to get some small amount of justice.

>>116892499>Anna is punished for daring to attempt the same things as her perfect, blessed sisterNo. Just because Elsa realizes it's her fault doesn't make this acceptable. That just gives her the opening to meddle even more and teach Anna her place.

>>116892353Yea I thought the ice hooks scene was a bit much, but after everything else they did I was impressed they still had ideas left.

>>116892458>it’s just not her role in the grand scheme of things>Anna will always be a secondary character no matter how hard she triesSounds like she needs to seize her destiny like a certain someone...

Attached: grab.gif (540x280, 2.31M)

>>116892458>Anna will always be a secondary characterIt's ironic that becoming queen only made this even more true. Anna should have gotten something of her own instead of settling for her sister's leftovers.

I'm sure it was difficult to get away from all your horse riding.">>116892725I think you're looking at this the wrong way, user. >>116893204>giving Anna a chance to shine and prove she can handle herself without big sis coming in and icing everythingOh, I thought the implication was that's exactly what happens after Elsa learns Anna is in danger. If there's no magical rescue, then I'm on board.

>>116892820what's this from?

>>116893324I mean, I guess you could do that, depending on what moral you want to tell at the end. But it's not what I meant, no.

>>116893324>>116893204Just have Elsa rescue someone else so she can have her saviour complex jerkoff session, while Anna succeeds on her own elsewhere.Hell, have Elsa save Kristoff so they can have a interaction longer than 2 seconds for once.

>>116893398What would Elsa and Kristoff even talk about? The only thing they have in common is Anna.Hey, maybe since Kristoff got turned into a 2D stereotype, Elsa can become the "nosy in-law" who constantly pesters him for news about Anna.

Attached: 1397253087775.jpg (516x568, 119.8K)

>>116893398Maybe have Anna and Kristoff split up at some point, but not before Anna has a cliched "calling someone the wrong name due to prior stress" moment.>Kristoff: "Anna, honey, this is starting to get pretty dangerous. Maybe we should think about heading back to--">Anna: "NO! I am DOING this. You are NOT going to stop me this time, Elsa!">Kristoff: "...">Anna: "...Kristoff. I'm sorry. I just... I have to see this through, alright? Please."

>>116892599>>116893204Sad plot twist: Anna rescued herself because she thought using her as bait wouldn't work, and Elsa wouldn't come.>She missed my coronation, she missed the statue unveiling for my parents, and she even missed my wedding. Why would this be any different?

>>116893564>What would Elsa and Kristoff even talk about?I still can't wrap my head around the fact that Disney hasn't made them 'ice buddies' in some fashion. "Ice is my life!" Kristoff declared once. You'd think he and Elsa could have long conversations about ice like two art critics studying the Mona Lisa or something. I can easily see them nerding out over ice and meanwhile Anna's just standing there being the third wheel, trying to join in but just not getting it.

>>116890461Thanks the text is surprisingly relevant in this Frozen 2 age

>>116893636>Haha, that's quite the slip of the tongue. Do I look that much like Elsa?>No! God, no. For one, she's much softer. She smells nicer too. And she gives the best hugs. Er...the second best after you, of course...

>>116892458I can see Anna not hiding it but assuming it was not important enough for Elsa to know, since she just ditches the letters Anna sends.

>>116894788November 3...just 82 short days away!

>>116894859>they ran out of time to add scenes memelol they fucking added the first scene of baby Anna and Elsa playing after the June 2019 screening. They had time, they just suck at it.

Wait, so if Arendelle fucking hates the Northuldra and they're all racist and shit to them and things are so bad for them in Arendelle that Iduna has to lie about who she is for almost her entire life, then why the fuck is Agnarr telling Elsa and Anna a bedtime story about the Northuldra with fondness like he's talking about an old friend?

>>116895260Agnarr says the Northuldra took advantage of the spirits' gifts. He was not fond of them.

Attached: If only you knew how bad things really are.jpg (246x392, 21.84K)

>>116895260That’s a good question. Maybe 34 years without even seeing a Northuldra has cooled the anger towards them.Although “the day my dad died” is still a strange choice of bedtime story.

>>116895334“Took advantage” is a very revealing phrase that shows his thinking. And he said it to his magical daughter’s face. Pretty rude.>>116895338>implying old people become less racist over timeArendelle is populated mostly by hateful boomers now, Queen Anna will have her hands full.

>>116895334"Took advantage of" means nothing to a five year old. If Agnarr wanted to get across to the girls that the Northuldra were bad people, he did an awful job of it.>unrelated light bulbWhat the fuck, why don't Elsa and Anna react in any way shape or form when they meet the Northuldra? There's no "They're the people father told us about!" or "These are the people that killed our grandfather!" or anything. The way they encounter the Northuldra and the Arendellian soldiers, they may as well be reacting to this information as if it's brand new to them. There's no "our mother belonged to the people that attacked the King of Arendelle," just "our mother belonged to these people we just met.">adds another reason to the list of reasons to hate Frozen II

What would your reaction be to Iduna, Anna and Elsa having a lesbian incest threesome as adults?

>>116895459I’ve thought of that before too. They should side immediately with the Arendellian soldiers, and the second Yelena says “we are called the Northuldra”, Elsa should have sent ice spikes through all their hearts simultaneously.

>>116895459Because you know why

>>116895486I strongly support the idea.

>>116895538Can someone post that please? I find it HOT.

>>116895486Does Iduna turn into a loli?

>>116895459Yeah but he says it right in front of Iduna who has yet to divulge that she's secretly Northuldran.

>>116895459Nobody’s reactions in the forest makes any sense. Everyone begins exhibiting strange symptoms as soon as they step inside, like speaking in a flat affect, delivering exposition unprompted, and memory loss. Everyone seems oddly vacant and just stumbles around, only dimly aware of who they’re talking to. The people trapped inside show the worst symptoms, but the newcomers quickly fall victim to it as well. I think it’s some plant or fungus that makes everyone act this way.

>>116895486there's already a fic for that

>>116895664>The people trapped inside show the worst symptoms, but the newcomers quickly fall victim to it as wellI’d say it’s the exact opposite, since Yelena and Mattias instantly recognize each other, but Elsa, Anna and Kristoff act totally off as soon as they’re in the forest, like the example of not worrying about the Northuldra. Maybe the trapped people have gained an immunity to whatever is in the air.
