I'm pretty sure none of the people who worked on DR4 even did any work even on DR2. Basically they're lazy cunts who get away with it because they're westerners. DR1 is good because of superior nippon tech and people not lazing around relying purely on mocap.

To them, marketing is what sells games. The VAST majority don't care about the quality of the game and probably haven't played any other game in the series. They will buy things based purely on "hype" and play it for two hours then never touch it again. That is their target audience. All devs have to do now is release a game that somewhat works most of the time and is only not terrible enough to not damage their reputation.
