The Super manga is a marketing gimmick. It serves no other purpose than to occasionally be slightly ahead of the anime so people buy it and read it for story spoilers. When it isn't ahead of the anime, it turns into hot rushed garbage that does away with any tension or character building. At least the anime gives us some time with the characters during downtime so we get to know them more.

You could say that about most of the Universe 6 tournament, but not anything after that. The Hit fight was better in the manga (shit just got too ridiculous and nonsensical in the anime).

Honestly, the Black arc was way too fucking slow and boring in the anime and they still somehow didn't give a whole lot of information in any of the episodes. The manga is quicker, more detailed, makes more sense and looks better.

The anime had way more buildup than any payoff could possibly justify. In the manga, even if the ending doesn't change (and is therefore still shit), at least the process of getting there won't be so unbelievably redundant and boring.

The buildup was fine. They just blew their load for each and every next episode preview, spoiling most major revelations.

Treat it like Gintama. Watch the anime for the fillers/jokes and the manga if you're really desperate for action.

Pretty much what I do. The filler is actually better than any of the fights, and that's kinda ridiculous considering that the series is all about fighting. Still, the filler has been pretty fun.

Not fucking time stopping. Kaio-ken at least had an actual danger to it to balance out the time stop immunity. Having Goku just be automatically immune to Hit's time skipping is uninteresting. Dragon Ball fights are best when it's about opponents having to out-wit and out-technique each other, not simply being stronger.

Super would be better if fights looked more like JJBA's part 2 than Dragonball GT, like you said we need interesting gimmicks and techniques that make both the viewer and the characters think, not literally "kamehameha but times 100!!"

You need to specialize into Ki supers or Strikes, but I would recommend against strikes since Golden form is very strong since you recharge KI so fucking fast with basic hits.

What would you say is a good build overall? I don't even know how many points we get to spend total, but I wanted to try out characters at least for a strike focused and a ki focused builds.

Manga: Goku Black is literally Saibamen tier strong and Future Trunks is pummeling him every fight but Goku Black retreats and gets stronger due to Zenkai boost

Anime: Goku Black acts with confidence, even directly attacking Goku and not giving shit about Mary Sue Beerus or LOL-NOT-GAY-Whis, Anime also shows he DIRECTLY killed God of Destruction and other cunts in that timeline by using Goku's body

Manga: Goku Black states how he is a coward and weak and thats why he ambushed Supreme Kai's and killed them so he doesnt have to confront Mary Sue Beerus and other strong fighters.
