When finishing Muramasa, i felt Kisuke was a better MC than Momohime.

I've been wanting to play that game but sadly i don't have an Xbone.

It is on PC too (STEAM), pretty good, is mostly a stealth game rather than an action game.

The thing is that, while Momohime is still a character in her own right, much of her route you're just playing as Jinkuro, who's kicked her soul out of her body, so the bulk of the character and dialogue she gets is pre and post boss fights. Meanwhile, from start to finish, on Kisuke's route, you're playing as him: while what's-his-name's soul technically lives within him, it doesn't actively possess him the way Jinkuro does.

Pretty much this, but i enjoyed Kisuke's story more, especially the ending. Also Yuzuruha was a pretty good Ara.

trying to play thorough this game, the fucking save system is fucked. It will only save after you complete a mission. some missions are 30 minutes + long. the game is also buggy as fuck too.

Back when they cared about the story, the ninjas in SC did have some deep lore with ties with historical figures like Nobunaga and Hideyoshi. In that note, Sengoku Jidai era games probably delve into the subject the deepest.

True. About 4-5 years ago the zombie fad went hayware. Ninjas didn't have something similar; sure there's always a ninja in a FG and Sengoku Jidai hack n' slashes but games where they're the main focus, can't think of many modern ones besides Tenchu, Shinobi/Kunoichi and Izuna (because brought it up) and even those have some years on their backs.
Oh! There's Senran Kagura but they're about as stealthy as a rhino blowing a vuvuzela.

And there are quite a bit of them out there that feature ninjas really. Onichanbara is a series that does the same thing.
These games are simple in design (basic hack n slash) and they would usually have customizable features like increasing move sets or weapon strength but most importantly of all unlockable costumes to play dress up with your ninja girl.
I'm not getting down on this…for mindless hack n slash they're generally better than they really need to be (because the game part of the game isn't the selling point, obviously).

I confess I got one of those games for the PS2. Cost me about 10 Merkel Shekels. It was kinda fun for quick, mindless romp, had shitloads of unlockables (including about 4 extra characters), "trophies", a stat reset option and the music is surprisingly good (that alone really made the game enjoyable). And Reiko is pure boner fuel.

SK's a ninja game because the girls call themselves as much but that's about it, yes.
Kurenai had a lot of potential with the grappling hook stealth, seduction and stuff but the game was shit. Luckily I reined in my hormones and dodged a bullet there.

Onichbanra is from the same developer, use the same, engine, and share most of its staff with Senran games. There's no wonder at all that they are basically the same.

Neptunia is a weird one because it seems to have a super complex and deep system but fuck you if you actually want to play with it because every five minutes is interrupted by 10 minutes of some sort of cutscene.
