Lots of laughs were had seeing the fans who constantly bashed SU for "forgiving nazis" going deathly quiet after this finale. The fun thing is not only are the Diamonds not even nazis (they're communist monarchs) but their own deathcount doesn't even include a single sapient being. Shattering isn't death, it's just the gem being repurposed or harvest. Anything that dies via terraforming doesn't fit the definition of genocide either since it's not targeted destruction whereas Star directly targeted magic knowing full well what would happen.Star, the protagonist of this show, has a bigger deathcount than the antagonists of most 2010's shows.
