Holla Forums is one of the most uncreative parts of the internet possible. 99% of ideas here are derivative or straight up copied from pre existing medium, most are completely incapable and unwilling to wean off the most traditional hero-fights-villain set up and "tropes" and -something-episodes are celebrated without second thoughts.All of Holla Forums's stories and ideas start from the point of wanting to do one of a pre-existing thing, a superhero that is this, an adventure that includes that, fetish but with plot, homage or return of old thing, etc. No one here seems to have enough life or knowledge to draw a real meaning to infuse their ideas with. No new commentaries on society or tapping on real life issues, no exploration of a complex theme, no interesting morals or critiques. Just retreat into the fantasy that already exists. Fundamentally, that's why these mediums aren't taken seriously, because even the fans don't think of using them to say something that can change peoples' minds.

I'd say Holla Forums's biggest problem is being unable to withstand or undermine its most autistic members. The /ctg/ and Spooktober threads' decline? Primarily a glut of argumentative, authoritative posts that upset any good vibes. The discussion of current media? Defined exclusively by the loudest, most banal arguments. Most threads based on creating OC? Poisoned by a few terrible, persistent requesters.The worst posters on 4chan are on Holla Forums and /trash/, but that's a whole other story.At least with boards like Holla Forums, the terrible posts are sometimes reacted to with entertaining insanity. Holla Forums just tends to roll over and die when it's met with a low-effort post, or (even worse) fails to play off it.
